ITS OK PEOPLE. YOU CAN CALL ME A COWard!

YES call me anything, even a coward, but I will not attend the PROTES Rally come Sunday 6 July at the Jalan Timor padang.

I dont want to give the opportunity for agent provocateurs to start trouble;
I dont want to see the police clobbering our people at the rally;
I dont want to see our people fighting back in anger and frustration;
I dont want the government to declare a state of emergency.

Following the events of the past few weeks, it is so clear that certain elements are afoot to thwart any legal attempts towards a change of government. The ruling dumbo elite still cannot get it. The Rakyat said it without much fanfare on 8 March. UMNO is running around like a decapitated chicken; even the two top dogs in MCA have thrown in the towel; the Gerakan has been dismembered and the MIC, what's that, huh?; the other coalition parties can't even manage a squeak, although across the waters some roared from the wrong end.

THE WORLD IS WATCHING!
WE CANNOT AFFORD TO MAKE A MIS-STEP!
WE NEED TO THINK WITH OUR HEADS AND NOT OUR HEARTS!
SOME ARE WAITING FOR PROVOCATION!
WE WILL NOT, WILL NEVER, GIVE THEM THIS OPPORTUNITY ON 6 JULY!

REALLY, IT IS OK TO CALL ME A COWARD.
To the organisers of PROTES, you would have seen me in all rallies, but I will absent myself from this one......
(because NOTHING must jeopardize the efforts thus far)

....me, I am off to meet some students that i taught at La Salle, Sentul in 1973, at Heroes (mmm and me a coward) Cafe, Desa Putra Condominium.

Zorro,
You are right. There is nothing to gain but everything to lose by doing it this time. They are so desperate now they will do anything to remain in power. Its a matter of time that they will crumble without a drop of blood unnecessarily lost. It is good that you are not participating this time. Its an act of futility. Lets bide our time.

Is that Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan's posterior?

Sorry, El Zorro! Couldn't resist it.

Erase! Erase!

So what's new ?

I also don't want to be there. My decision made after I read their intention or reason for holding that rally;
1. to pressure government to reduce petrol price (I support this)
2. to ask abdullad to step doen (I support this)
3. to ask BN to hand over power ot BA ( I don't support this because there is no logic and unconstitutional)

The 3rd seems act of extortion, aggression and gangsterism. Fuck with that demand.

Everyone must stand up and be counted. If we are going to have fear even to express our rights, then this gives the government the signal that we have to kowtow to them. You have your prerogative not to attend for fear of troubles but we all will. We will keep you inform of the collosal crowd that fear not.

I think that these are wise words. I hope others will hear you and see reason, too. The situation is too volatile, and will too easily lend itself to disruption of public order. How can that be of use to us, if a state of emergency is declared?

May reason prevail, and god keep us safe.

Coward?

This is somebody with wisdom. We need to be intelligent enough to pick the fight. We must not let UMNO to find any excuse.

Kudos Zorro. Maybe you should share your views with other bloggers too.

Nostradamus Quatrains on “Wag the Dog”

In the month named of a Roman King
The year of great games played by Greeks
Malaysie, a land where politikus battle
“Wag the Dog” the game is played

A man defamed twice over
Seeking restitution with Ottoman Kings
A plot being hatched as night awaits
Watch in trepidation by the man defamed

People in Malaysie cry in vain
Great turbulence and strife engulf
Lost is the fable of Mongolian assasins
Forgotten is the hatred of black oil curse

Men in power rule with joy
For winners, gold and lust awaits
Lost are the tales of greed and arrogance
Forgotten are the tales of men in chains

Little Napoleon kings jump in joy
For keeping the turf and rule once more
But alas, such is the game being played
The time to repent is so in vain

Stomach empty, spirit rise in men
Seeking justice for those in pain
A man of honor they seek within
To play a game of which to gain

Across the land, the people rose
Silence and patience is the game being played
Within the halls and corridors of fame
Man of honor win the game

I agree with you, Zorro.
I'm worried there are some people who are desperate enough to instigate another round of National Operations Council rule.

No need to look further than descendants of the people who ruled the 1st NOC.

Wahlauweh Z,

Yer opting out of this rally?

Coming from someone I know well enough who, without any doubt in my mind will lay down his life for this nation, to better it for all the right reasons, this announcement must have certainly
pained you.

On hindsight, GE12 brought the beginning of the end of BN's hegemony. We need to be vigilant on unconstitutional means of political change and equally important, we must not give the AAB administration the unnecessary excuse to remain unchanged for the same reason.

There are now more 'opposition' MPs in parliament whose primary purpose is to continue their noble efforts to inculcate better governance. Let's allow them the space and time to carry it out with dignity and wisdom.

Ahem... what did Hantu reveal, bro?

I concur with your wise view Bernard.

The sentiment expressed in the Nostradamus Quatrains on 'Wag the Dog' says a lot.

The mantra should be-
"Festina Lente"
Make Haste, Slowly!

The rally on the 6
The organizers should defer it
It is too hot for the time being
About Anwar and the government stand

UMNO wants opportunity
Finding ways to declare state of emergency
By then our MPs can’t say much
They have no clout to protests

The organizers should cool it
Wait for another opportunity
The costs of good hike
It just won’t go away

Enriching the BN/UMNO cronies
On their ‘anak buah’ in the organizations
Paying them fat remuneration packages
While the Rakyat living from hands to mouths

As the days progress
Many events may happen
Coward or hero………….
Know the time and place
Don’t give the ruling elite a chance
To use the state of emergency
And saying now the Rakyat asking for it

OBE....it just takes one head to be cracked for you know who to declare NOC and we will be back to square one. I hate game of chance friend. Can we afford to lose what little ground we gained post GE12?

zorro, you r wrong! 2008 maybe the same cycle as 1998. BUT the outcome is opposite. This round(2008) is the uprising of the oppressed masses and succeed unlike the 1998 (where the ruling class/Umno/Mahathir blahblahblah upperhand and suppress any insurgent in similar financial & creditability crisis) and also opposite outcome cf 2004 (Badawi/UMNO held same General Election but opposite result!!!).

I study cycle-analysis in world trend, geopolitical developments and financial/commodities markets.

So for Msia, 2008 will be same cycle as 2004 but with opposite outcomes, winners then become loosers now(read Badawi/UMNO.....)

Now ,get back to work, get all your students with u and attend the rally !!!!!!!!

Also after the SAPP revolt I was told by a friend there was this prophetic preacher from overseas oredy predicted sometimes 2007 that this year 2008 for Malaysia there will a WINDOW( in fact he specified it for first 10 months only) for change to the benefits of the MASSES. His message and video recording still on web,go search and read, then ALL your depression/frustration/helplessness/despair will go away, and u will pick up the spirit to soldier on... Now get goin......!

Check out this old man at http://consumersrighteousness.blogspot.com/. I personally admire his courage and determination to withhold his rights and stand against one big giant. Won’t it be cool if some bloggers write/comment about his problem?

Zorro, I won't be attending the gathering. I don't think we should give the government any excuse to react and introduce some kind of emergency rule or something like that. It is likely that there would be government agents out to provoke the people. Folk are already mad enough with the DSAI issue etc and can get easily agitated. If you notice from the Star today Syed Hamid is saying that they may call in the army to help if the police cannot maintain peace in the country. If these are not veiled threats I don't know what is. So I you are a coward I am one too.

Is it true that Syed Hamid wants to rope in the army,in case the police cannot cope? Chuan, my students listened to me.

Dear Zorro, One retraction it is Tan Sri Musa Hassan who said this (please see page N10 of the Star today). Don't know why I said Syed Hamid - must be due to the fact that I read the papers very fast and Syed Hamid's name came up earlier. Anyway, the article is titled "Army to help maintain order if need arises". Sorry about that.

Did the Malay Regiment maintained order in 1969? The Rangers DID!

Hi Z...

Good for you. And a calling wont hurt us either. 60 years gone...and you're still going strong. COWARDS wont have that in their stomach.

Respect your wishes and your endeavors.

But its about time we reflect all the plus and minus perspectives of those rallies into our mind.

Its about time, we indulge, albeit the inflations and sufferings, a bit into the past like meeting some of our former students, friends and families.

Maybe we should be thinking more of the loved ones. Cos its all that we have and left...

Bye Z..

It's now 07-07-2008, and the Protes has successfully held its whole-day rally at the KelanaJaya Stadium(Read news and video at Malaysiakin:Khalid: Reduce fuel price or be ready to go and
Thousands at Kelana Jaya to hear Anwar/Anwar: Charge me at syariah court/No reported police action at venue).

So Time has proven me right and u and some BN fools respondents(who claims to want some quality time at home) wrong. and maybe years later when we look back, we ask ourselves, what were we doing/fooling around at such critical juncture of the nation's struggle, drugging our mind with foolish logics like "emergencies/investors-confidence/scaring off foreign tourists/tarnishing national image/....."

Like they say " If u r not part of the solution, u r part of the problem !"
