I surmise the newly-coated ( I am bored with the media's "newly minted" tag....have some respect, the PM and his newly-dressed Ministers are not besi, get it?....although some are quite rusty or rusting) Prime Minister will get off his throne and sit on the top-cats in NST (Guan Eng proxy for Anwar) and UTUSAN (Bangkitlah Melayu) and all this just after his no holds-barred, cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die oratorical utterances ‘Policy, Politics and the New Media - A New Way Forward’ at the MPI Press Awards.
I am producing here the relevant gist of his speech ( for KPI pursoses no less):
- That there is a need to encourage respectable and fair dialogue on the country’s future involving the whole nation that takes place with a vibrant, free and informed media
- That the country needs a media - both old and new - that is empowered to responsibly report what they see, without fear of consequences, and to hold government and public officials accountable for the results they produce
- That there must be a new national discourse on the principles of transparency and accountability; service to all, not just a few; and respect and fairness in the public dialogue
- That a new national conversation is needed about the nation’s future; there is a need to respect the other’s opinion, value discussion and discourse, recognise that opponents need not be enemies and that differences of opinion do not come from malicious motives but from a concern for Malaysia’s future
“This will be a core principle of my government; governing that reflects the best values, abilities and strengths of our people, our leaders and our nation,” he said, adding that the institutions, parties and public servants must work for the public interest and “not narrow opportunism or political interests”.

If i am an investor, I make sure all legal matters are to be resolved out of this country;and not surely subject oneself to the whims and fancies of the kangaroo court.

Since early 1990s, most foreign investors have insisted that all disputes be settled via "other tham Malaysia laws" in their JV in Malaysia. It got worse over the years and now even locals do not believe the court.
Want to hear something ridiculous? In SS2, if you park properly you get a summon for exceeding time limit or forgot to display parking ticket. But you will not be summoned for double parking or park in middle of road. Twice pointed out to the "summoner" and he just laughed at me. Wonderful law enforcer, right?
What nonsensical perambulating gibberish is that? (Crap or crock for short LOL).
So after reading all this big talk, I have 2 questions:
(1) Is the government going to stop persecuting bloggers (the new media editors) who bravely speak their minds 'without fear of consequences"?
(2) Is the government ready to "respect the other's opinion" by setting aside all charges against RPK and any other dissenter (s) because they are directed by Mr PM to "recognise that opponents need not be enemies and that differences of opinion do not come from malicious motives but from a concern for Malaysia' future"?
Anything less than 2 yes-es would mean that Najib cakap tak serupa bikin.
