Ku Li pulled no punches and said it bluntly. Tun M smirked about the candidate. You are one of the very few in UMNO whose views I respect. Before Nomination day I posted that both parties, UMNO and PAS must give to the rakyat in Permatang Pasir WHAT THEY WANT and not give themwhat YOU (UMNO?PAS) HAVE! I was looking forward to a healthy, clean campaign. Looking back now it was wishful thinking on my part. Naieve to be exact. Getting a royal bashing is BN calon Rohaizat. His deck of cards are collapsing with one misstep after another and he still soldier on? The campaign has now taken on a racist overtone and demonising of individuals seem to be the order of the day.......and we are into the holy month of Ramadan. Datuk, what is your answer to all these? I am just perplexed!
PS: I apologise for putting you thru this on a Sunday. Please extend my fond regards to Mamasita Mamamia
PPS: I was tickled by your reference to some rancid curry!!
As challenged by PAS, we hope that Khairy will use his power(?) and influence(?!) to ask for the sacking of the EC chief for his incompetence and also for disrupting BN's ceremah. Chances are this will not happen as once-upon-a-time Golden Boy has lost his lustre.
But this boy does not give up easily. I will give that to him. Now he is challenging Guan Eng to give an exco post to Pertmatang Pasir candidate Ustaz Salleh Man should he win.
Khairy had aspirations to make history but looks like he is going to be history, unless he can worm himself into the cabinet which I doubt as long as his nemisis Tun Mahathir holds Najib's leash.....and can the LOAF co-exist with the EMPEROR'S CLOTHING, both Pavilion based?
In an earlier posting I commented on the military presence during this by-election at Permatang Pasir HERE. Admiral Tojo posted this comment in my comment box:
Zorro,
what Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is doing is WRONG and tantamount to abuse of power and abuse of the Fed Constitution. The ONLY entity that can order such mobilisation is the YD Agong NOT a Minister. Did the Agong give the command?? I think you should blow this up for all to see.
Shalom, Admiral Tojo
Admiral, what I can only do is present what I researched, as follows.....
The Supreme Commander is the highest ranking office in the command structure of the Malaysian military. The office dates to the 1957 creation of the Malay federation. Its current role, duties and powers are regulated by the Constitution of Malaysia and the Federal Armed Forces Act. The Malaysian Constitution establishes that the office of Supreme Commander is attached to the person of the Federal Head of State.
Federal Constitution, Article 41- The Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall be the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces
The Federal Armed Forces Act was passed by the Federal Parliament in order to consolidate in one law all the regulations governing the three services ( Army, Navy and Air Force ), it establishes the function and duties of the Federal Head of State in his capacity as Supreme Commander.
One can cheat and get away with it. One too can murder and get away with it. But when convicted and sentence to death, only the King can pardon.
As Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, I can presume that power to mobilise can only be the King's prerogative. This will be best answered by military personnel, past and present. Please sirs, your comments.
Game over, but BN has not left the field/court. They have done a shitty job here in Permatang Pasir. The least they can do is do some damage control to cover the asses of Muhidi and Hamidi before the vacation-weary and jet-lagged PM comes a visiting.
Khairy’s served the phantom vote shuttle at PAS…..PAS returned the shuttle with a message: You have the power to ask for the sacking of the EC chief for gross incompetence. You can even tag the “traitor to UMNO” tag on EC head for allowing this 3855 phantom voters through.
+++++
At this mornings PC Datuk Mafuz advised BN calon Rohaizat to challenge his former partner Yusri Isahak to a debate to clear his name. Should the debate materialize, the audience will be told not ask questions about Rohai’s second spouse, as it would distract from the intent of the debate.
The Barisan Nasional ceramah at Sama Gagah village was stopped by EC officials following complaints by PKR officials that government machinery was being abused for campaigning purposes. Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Heang Siak Kee stopped her speech half-way and did a disappearing act from the scene. Earlier, she told the audience that senior citizens above 60 can collect RM200 from sthe organizers. Dang! I was to join YB William Leong and YB Sim, but instead got diverted to Kg Cross Street. RM200 could buy the SB some beers.
EC rep and his team also inspected a bus bearing the Welfare Department logo instructed the bus driver to take the bus away whilst Ministry officers were seendesperately taking down buntings and clearing a Women, Family and Community Development Ministry counter. Looks like Sharizat massive figure is insufficient to lure voters. She had to use her officers. Shame, really.Looks like all the KL biggies are messing up a lot for the already beleaguered and disbarred candidate with 2 wives. Sure Shari will be screwed, sorry, whacked by Jibby and set upon by Rosie Dottie.
When the culprits left, poor adun Arif Shah Omar Shah was left alone to face the media. Of course a string of best-in-class UMNO excuses came out from the white-haired assemblyman.
Here is a gem from Dr Mujahid Rawa at last nights ceremah at Kg Cross Street: Google Money Politics and you see most of the titles have to do with UMNO! Go find out for yourself. He also communicated the good news that UMNO has now given a good discount - the RM600K is now a mere RM6K.
Yes, game over but furtive distribution of racist flyers reminiscent of Permatang Pauh’s by-elections have surfaced and this on the eve of Ramadan. More HERE

Isn’t this Badrul Hisham the one who came to Nomination without cash and donations had to be collected?
Isn’t he the candidate who after nomination went back home immediately?
Isn’t this the same Badrul who was not at the counting centre awaiting the results?
Isn’t he the Badrul Hisham Abdullah who had to be awakened and told that he had won the elections.
Isn’t he the Badrul, who months later was owning a Merc?
If the answer to the above question is YES, then he has taken the Selangor State Government for a good roller-coaster ride.
He is MIA. He is incommunicado. Period. Probably he doesn’t want to be distracted by duty of State so that his negotiations with UMNO would be to his best advantage.
If Pakatan Rakyat , if PKR and the Menteri Besar thinks that this is not sufficient cause for immediate sacking from the party, then there is nothing much we who voted the PR into government, can do but wait for BN or UMNO to take back Selangor a la Perak.
But if PKR tomorrow sacks him, he is left without a party and UMNO saves a few million ringgitbecause there will not be any need to negotiate any pricing. He can retain his seat but for sure his constituents will punish him like how that female frog from Jelapang is punished. For sure, come GE13 no one will nominate a pariah to contest any seat.
If PKR has that moral courage to sack him, it will be a lesson to other would-be renegades eyeing some fast tainted bucks. Pakatan Rakyat must do likewise to any suspicious aduns. Even if the Selangor Government falls, it will not matter because GE13 is just round the corner and we the people of Selangor will give the state back to Pakatan Rakyat because it was brave enough to make that supreme sacrifice to rid it of the garbage.
However, if the Pakatan Rakyat Selangor Government delays and falters and do nothing to rid it of the sewage waste, fat hopes we will give you a chance come GE13. Because we will not vote for BN, we will spoil our votes. WE KID YOU NOT!
Be aware that PR pre March 8 2008 was an unproven entity. We voted PR in because we were determined to stop BN’s arrogance and corruption…..not because PR had proven its credibility or caliber. Sacrifices must be made. A fruit must fall before any tree can sprout.
THE SELANGOR RAKYAT WAITS….for Pakatan Rakyat to rise to the occasion or doomed and ripe for your political annihilation.
SO WHAT IS IT?
BETTER A SEWAGE CUM CARBAGE DISPOSAL ORGANISATION.
MUJAHID YUSOF RAWA is the son of the illustrious late PAS President. It was liberally spread around by an UMNO blogger that Mujadi absconded with some RM600k. Now UMNO is into figures. Just the other day, outside-the-cabinet Pemuda head said that PAS had 3855 Phantom voters. At this morning's Press Conference Mujahid informed the media that UMNO has reduced the embezzeled figure to RM6K. I am hopeless with figures but if Mujahid could hand me that 600k, I would bankrupt Vincent Tan if I placed the bet on 3855. That would stop all the forthcoming Special Draws to pay for Selangor's PR cross-overs.
Let me digress a bit. You know the cobra.....small as it is when compared to a dinosaur, it spits its poison with lethal accuracy. When a dinosaur spits it floods a huge area, kinda like deforestration. So who ever the dinosaur said it was RM600K must be tugging its tail between you know where. So this theory must be true:
Hopson (1980) compared dinosaur brain sizes with those of living reptiles. He calculated the EQs assuming that dinosaurs are more like reptiles and that their brain, as in living reptiles, occupied only half of the brain case. Hopson used the brain size to body size relationship in living reptiles, E=0.005P0.66 and found that most dinosaurs were not as intelligent as the average crocodile
I ADVISE THAT YOU CLICK ON THE IMAGE FOR REAL-TIME BODY MASS
I like it, the above calculation about the size of dino's brain! But is it really extinct? I surmise some are still around, but the brains a tad fossilised, NO?
This morning, a small-sized TOKOHSASTERAWAN NEGARASamad Said, my former neighbor, made my day! We chatted after the Press Conference and he told me that he reads my blog! Woooooooooooooooooo!
We are very aware of the intimidating presence of the PDRM in the past 6 by-elections. They were there by the thousands in Kuala Terengganu. The menacing FRU did their fair share of tear- gassing at Bukit Selambau. The towns where the by-elections were held seemed like an unofficially declared war zone. And this in a country aspiring for developed-nationhood status. In KT, they had horses trotting around the main roads. Probably realizing that cops on horses were not so macho they brought in non-uniformed thuggish-looking cops on scramblers for nomination day in Permatang Pasir! But it amused me that they congregated on the BN side. Again probably the close to 30,000 strong Pakatan Rakyat supporters is no place to play with their scramblers.
An added injection at Permatang Pasir, we learnt, was the presence of Armed Forces personnel. Were they our army boys or were they the Blackwater mercenaries expelled from Iraq?
Defence Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has denied that he is using the armed forces to campaign for BN candidate Rohaizat Othman
He said services rendered by members of the armed forces to people of Permatang Pasir were not to canvass for votes in the coming state by-election.
"The services given under the 'Jiwa Murni' programme is not due to politics. We help them in areas that we are good at like medical, engineering and religion.”
(Dang, religion?)
PAS vice-president Mahfuz Omar claimed in party portal HarakahDaily that Zahid had used the armed forces to give free medical treatment to voters on behalf of Umno and BN.
Now, lets hear what my friend and fellow Taipingite, M Naser Taib has to say about Armed Forces involvement in elections:
There is an Armed Forces Council Instruction that forbids soldier, airmen or naval personnel from taking part in political canvassing as what the Minister has done. He has given the Defence Chief an "unlawful command". The umpu bodek generals must stop this illegal deployment. Its a blatant abuse. It has never happened before. This will only happen when Short Service Commissioned Officers become generals. Gutless wonders.
