Abu Kassim pointed out that the MACC will hold a series of roundtable discussions with representatives of the Customs department to work on improvements to the latter's system and procedures in revenue collection.
“RM3 billion is (a) big (amount). It is for the benefit of the people, so that (the government can) build schools, hospitals and low-cost houses.
“We urge the Customs to work with the MACC and all the agencies involved, to make sure this (corruption) can be reduced and collection improves in the coming years,” he said.

Do I smell a rat? Is Allahyarhamm Sarbani being given the old one two. MACC seems to be saying to the Royal Malaysia Customs...Don't push us on his death in our premises and we will stand down or at least drag our feet on investigating your corruption??? Do you also notice, as the first sign of cooperation, the much publicised RM108 billion has suddenly become RM3 billion? and all this to build schools and hospitals!
If you read between the lines, MACC is asking for a cut of RM3billion out of the billions that Kastams took.
"build schools, hospitals and low-cost houses"? Yeah, right!
Once again we malaysians will be fcuked around.! I thought those thieves in the Customs would be made to pay for ithe ill-gotten gains.
It's this abang and adek relationship might as well fcuked the Macc for good and disband it......
Blame that mahakutty robber for this filth...
In malaysia, project cost over-runs are common. Today we know that corruption over-runs occur as well! Yeah.. first 1.8b and now 3b! what gives?
MACC is telling Kastam that they should not practise 'Black Eat Black' (a chinese terminology).
It is heartening to hear of the strong groundswell of support in Sarawak for change. I hope they succeed and trigger a tsunami in the Peninsula when GE 13 comes around and have the will and courage to make the changes and to take your own destiny in your own hands.
In all these euphoria of strong support, I hope the Opposition do not lose sight of the need for close scrutiny leading up to the actual election process for fraud. Desperate people will go to desperate lengths to win – more so those with lots of skeletons in the closet such that they cannot afford to lose and have their wrongdoings exposed. It is 24/7 alert or better still, set up a special squad just to watch out for any gerrymandering especially with a BN friendly EC.
Fatwa on poco-poco?
Just like yoga, Muslims who practise it pay no regard to its religious or soul worshipping significance. In most cases, Muslims are ignorant of these aspects. So why should it be haram?
To use common man's reasoning - If some South Island people worship the car as God and prays to it, does it mean that Muslims should also stop using cars, just because some remote South Islander does on his island in the South Pacific regards it as THEIR God?
With the greatest respect to the Perak Mufti, he should be looking at the proliferation of horror shows on local TV, which show Muslims seeking the powers of Darkness and abandoning Islam. Guess what, 99.9% of these shows features Malays, who are supposed to be Muslims.
Why doesn't the Mufti issue a reminder on this issue - Muslims worshipping jinns, hantu, pocong? It affects the faith of Muslims even more grievously, than this Jamaican hotch potch maypole dance.
today is the first time i am posting a comment and THIS IS THE FIRST TIME i REALLY PRAYED HARD THAT THE GOOD LORD BLESS THE SARAWAKIANS AND FREE THEM FROM THIS EVIL BN REGIME
