WE GAVE THEM OUR VOTES. LET'S NOT STOP THERE....

A reader, Peter, posted this comment and it merits our attention. He also posted same appeal in Rocky's Bru.

Bernard,

This is nothing to do with the topic but something that needs urgent attention.

Most of our PKR,DAP and PAS service centres (MP or ADUN, especially in the sub-urban or rural areas are lacking furniture etc.

My appeal is for those of us who have GOOD furniture that is not being used PLEASE identify the nearest service.

Visit them, talk to the ADUN or MP ans see what you can do or a group of the rakyat can do.

I visited YB Xavier Jayakumars service centre in Taman Sentosa. With just a small table and a worn out sofa set, he was attending to the rakyat. NO air-con, no cupboard. This is the office above the 99 supermarket.

Rocky, Harris, Bernard, please publicise this. maybe each of you can pay a visit to some of this service centres and see what you can do to publicise this.

THANK YOU PETER FOR THIS ALERT.

OK PEOPLE.....we voted them in....it is time to help them be effective. The allowance for MP and Aduns is nothing to shout about. I believe they have to give a certain percentage of the allowance to their party. Equiping service centres can take a big slice of the early allowance. Why don't we in the respective constituencies help out. Visit our respective service centre for all PR MPs and Aduns and do an inventory of their needs; get sponsors like electrical outlets to donate equipment etc.....you know what you can do. Lets JUST DO IT.

Zorro
Can you plse request MPS & ADUNS
1. To post a notice on their service centres to let ppl know they need help & furniture etc

And if I am not wrong, there are quite a few without service centres yet!!

2. PR should also Provide & request bloggers to Post addresses of service centres which needs help

3. MPs & Aduns should make a list of what they need otherwise they may well get unsuitable stuff ef sofas & beds!!

LASTLY it would be good to put in the following note to potential Contributors

Only useable and serviceable appliances & furniture

No Broken down Appliances or appliances without complete parts

No Broken furniture

Deliver the donations to the service centres as MPs and ADUNs have little time nor resources to do so themselves

See how good I am at making lists??
Thks zorro!

Dear Zorro,

I'm sure the people are more than willing to lend a helping hand to their elected ADUN/MPs. However, as gobloking pointed out, there are some who either don't have service centre yet, or have not annouced the venue. YB Eli Wong has mentioned in her blog end end March that she will have 3 centres come April. However, today is 15th April and there is no info as of where they are. And she hardly update any info on her blog anymore! I guess it's difficult for the people to know what she needs, what she gonna do for the constituency, etc etc.

The new ADUN/MPs must remember, that we elected the old ones out because they made empty promises. We for sure hope the new ones will deliver. Keep praying.....

Hi Zorro, Hi Theresa,

Unfortunately these days, I hardly have time to blog or get on the internet. Still resisting being Blackberried... Hopefully I'll get a breather in a couple of months time.

My 3 service centres are in operation - actually since April (in stages).

1st - Damansara Damai - by volunteers

2nd - Taman Ehsan (sharing with Sivarasa (MP Subang), William Leong (MP Selayang). Also manned by volunteers. I try to go there every Saturday 2-5 pm.

3rd - BU3 which opened unofficially last week. We're looking for a PC, a fax machine and other bits and pieces. This centre has 2 full-time coordinators and they run around all the areas to try to study the multiple problems and we will try to come out with durable solutions instead of piece-meal solutions.

More volunteers wanted!

If only I saw this notice earlier - I was internet-less, fax-less in my Shah Alam office for more than 2 week! I shall try to blog soon this weekend!

Thanks and cheers,
Elizabeth Wong
