TAIPING'S SUNDAY MORNING TRANQUILITY WAS DISTURBED, BUT FOR A VERY GOOD REASON.

For the last few days we have had an earful from UMNO themselves that they are so steeped in wheeling and dealing corruption-wise that everyone who just got elected swore that they need to change.That is easily said than done.All those utterings are, what sexologists refer to "Oedipus ograsmic drip", Drip, as in insignificant; as in typical motherhood statements...nice to hear; just drips, no substance - period.
I am Taiping-born 69 years ago My first two years was spent in that heritage building that is Peace Hotel today, and in my pre-teen years, as an Asam Kumbang scaliwag before I was deported to Penang. No Taipingite can ever say that Taiping is not Shangrila.
Taiping was the original capital of Perak before the capital moved to Ipoh and no Perakian is unaware of how the Federal government unscrupously stole the elected government from the citizens of Perak. Perfidy found legitamacy whether royally sanctioned or claimed otherwise.
I will for the next ten days make my fellow Perakians so angry and incensed that they will lay the red carpet for Nizar, the legitimate Menteri Besar of Perak. Are you with me People of Perak.
I am never good at riddles but one gift endowed on me, more likely nurtured from my 19 years studying students who studied under me, is that when I first meet a person, I like or I don't like that person. To date I have not been wrong. By the way, there are some who don't share my views, but I still like them although they may not take me as their friend lately. Over different ideologies I have seen "thick-as-thieves" friendship get shipwrecked!.....all because one says that that is a rock but the other says it is an outcrop. Yes back to my Basic Instinct. I met this CHARACTER in the National Press Club. I never liked him from the word GO. My friend-in-exile Pete proved my instinct correct today.Something off my chest now as I can now get up to the two Bukits without any distractions. Are you ready Old Blue Eye's?

Eleven aspirants, ten of them independents, have so far paid the RM8,000 deposit, RM5,000 for contesting and RM3,000 for posters.
The independent candidates are Husaini Yaakob, Abdul Rahim Abu, Zahran Abdullah, T. Chandraraajan, Tan Hock Huat, R. Loganathan, Mohamad Fazil Abdul Wahab, Mejar (B) Anwar Abdul Hamid, L.Saralla and A.Jayagopal. Really beats me why the chinaman and 6 bumis are thrilled to contest in an Indian constituency? In this country, as an independent you just need someebody on nomination day to buy you out. It is a national habit entertained by the equally non-independent EC. Many independent candidates have become instant noodles.....(ooppppssss), millionaires when they withdraw.
The highest number of candidates ever to contest a parliamentary or state seat was eight.
Several candidates contesting the Bukit Selambau seat are expected to lose their deposits as it will be difficult for all 13 candidates to receive one eight of the total votes cast. Why worry? The next day or two they will be owning MANY lembus and cars under the noses of the MACC.

Recent events show that Hindraf is willing to give MIC a walkover due to its focus on who will be the candidate for the upcoming Bukit Selambau elections. A messy nominations process can be expected.
A saying in Tamil goes like this “When the village is divided into two, the drama troupe will be the happiest of all” (due to the fact that they get to put up a show for each side and make twice the money. Here, the Drama Troupe is MIC and are they glad looking at the squabbling going on which will give them an easy victory by pushing Indians toward the MIC candidate by announcing to boycott and have an Independent candidate.
.....................This is not the time to go against anyone else but MIC. The other parties can have their own representative in the assembly but the Vision and Goals of Hindraf should go on with political power or without. MIC and BN have many tricks up their sleeves to create chaos -- and having Indians boycotting the PR candidate is definitely not going to help.
It's time to focus on only one mission -- to be rid of MIC's gameplay which will keep Indians subservient for another 50 years. Unite against this with the Makkal Sakthi given by the people to ensure victory in Bukit Selambau.

Earlier this week RPK vented his anger on the bodoh cina.....He continues today......but being a fair guy he picks two other races.....Some Chinese feel I have unfairly whacked the Chinese in my article Bodoh punya Cina! Okay, I may be a racist, but I am an equal opportunity racist. I whack all races without exception. I suppose that still makes me a racist but a fair racist at that. To balance off, why not I now whack the Indians and Malays as well? Later, I will get to the ‘lain-lain’.

I don’t remember what time I left the wharf after our pre Bukitmeeting to tie up loose ends. At the lights I get this call from Rif, an SAS student of mine in 1979. Typical of him he asked: Where you sir. I told him I was on my way home from helping some friends drink beers in Taman Desa. And typical of Rif he threw the bait…..Sir we celebrating KJ’s win and Kamal says that he will buy a bottle of Macallan if I can make you come to Grove Junction. I asked Rif who are the “we’ celebrating. The reply: Kavasan, Bong, Fendi, Rosli, Bulat. Dang, these were some of the last batch of students I bullied to success. I told Rif, “ Tell Kamal where one bottle enough especially with Kavasan, Fendi and Bulat around,” Also, typical of my trusty 940, I was walking up to Grove Junction before you could say Jack Robinson 340 times.
I hadn’t seen these bunch for close to 6 months, so this was an appropriate semi-annual get together. Of course we talked about KJ and my blogging. They were afraid for me for obvious reasons. After four straight successive shots they said they were not afraid for me anymore. Dang, don’t ask me why but I suspect that they too might join me in striving for a better Malaysia as anak bangsa Malaysia.
Kavasan and Bulat (who is now nimrod slim) quarreled over who would buy the next bottle. At 2:40am, we were politely told that it is way past closing time and we headed to Penang Nasi Kandar at TTDI…..of course with whatever was left of the malt, because it goes hand in glove with soup kambing, admittedly the gods most wondrous combination. Fendi asked, “So who’s this Friday’s Guest Blogger…Raja Petra on Najib’s speech good lah sir.”Dang, I clean forgot about this.
As we said our farewell I asked, “None of you are KJ’s fan, so what’s to celebrate?” “Come on lah sir,” Bong said, “must have excuse to come out lah.”
Dang, I taught them well, no?

If there was one thing all observers could agree on about Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s opening speech at the UMNO General Assembly for its Youth, Wanita and Puteri wings last night, it was how incredibly moving it was. So powerful was Najib’s oratory delivery that corruption — referred to as ‘money politics’ in UMNO circles — was effectively neutralised and eradicated from the organisation.
“I actually saw corruption dissipate from the hall, it was unbelievable,” said Roziman Musa, a delegate from Perak at the main PWTC assembly hall. “Before Datuk Seri Najib’s speech, money politics and vote-buying were evident in the faces of many of my fellow delegates. But as the DPM began his verbal assault on the corruption within UMNO, everyone was cleansed. Detoxified!”
A casual walk amongst the delegates revealed a cleaner, purer sense of being and an overall spirit of absolute harmony.
“I’m a man reborn,” said Jaafar Hussin, a delegate and senior UMNO member from Pahang. “I, like many of my friends, didn’t think twice about accepting money or contracts in exchange for votes before, but now I am free. I feel the wonderful void which all the corrupt thoughts have left behind. I am at peace with the universe."
“Thank you for the rousing speech, Datuk Seri!” he said, before running barefooted around the hall, throwing flower petals onto the appreciative crowd.
The sense of well-being was shared by every UMNO member nationwide, from top leaders to young members.
“We’re returning all our ill-gotten wealth to the community,” said Datuk Seman Azizuddin, a Terengganu branch chief and businessman when met at a hotel nearby. “My friends and I, who had amassed hundreds of millions of ringgit from our close ties to the administration, will now denounce our corrupt ways and live the life of clean, honest people, thanks to last night’s speech. What Datuk Seri Najib said resonated with the child within our souls, and released us from the clutches of our greed for money and power. We shall now embrace purity, selflessness and spirituality."
“Our crony days are over. Thank God!”
Puteri UMNO member from Lembah Keramat, Nina Badariah Ahmad, said that she now was more inspired to put her life into the party.
“Before this, I didn’t quite know why I joined, maybe because I subscribed to some of the ideals of the party, but mainly because I was intrigued by the power and potential wealth I could get my hands on,” said Nina. “But Datuk Seri Najib’s fiery speech has sifted all the impure and immoral reasons from the pure. He has killed all that is bad in the party. I am now in UMNO only for the good of the rakyat. Go UMNO!”
Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, responding to this latest news, indicated that Najib’s speech ‘had rendered the purpose of the Pakatan Rakyat null and void’.
“Oh dear. I guess this is the end of PR,” he said over the phone solemnly. “We went out to the people on the promise of transparency, equality and justice, but now that UMNO is living all those qualities, with absolutely zero corruption, we’re pretty much dead in the water.”
“I mean, I guess you can’t win ‘em all. Even I was inspired by his speech; it brought tears to my eyes,” said Anwar, hinting that he’ll be calling for the dissolution of all opposition parties and a mass entry into UMNO, as soon as he can.
In addition to talking about choosing ‘clean and able leaders’ to take the organisation out of its current doldrums, Najib also spoke of UMNO being more IT-friendly and giving more attention to new media. Early reports have indicated that all mainstream printed media would abandon paper and offer their services online and for mobile exclusively, in effect saving trees and making the world a far, far better place for all our children.
Deputy president of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Joseph Entulu Belaun yesterday called on Nicholas Bawin, Director of Operations of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) for the Batang Ai by-election to join PRS. “I believe that Bawin is only wasting his time by associating himself with PKR, so it will be good if he can use his potential and join PRS to develop Batang Ai,” said Entulu who is also deputy minister of rural and regional development.
My ears and eyes should start to scann "stuff" as soon as we enter the Batang Ai constituency. Look for the longhouse Bara, just after Merindun Oil Palm mill, on the left side of the road to Lubok Antu, because thats where the battle ground commences, and it goes all the way to the Indonesian border in the north, but not before you pass over the great Lanjak/Entimau National Park. The sheer size, vastness and the ruralness of this constituency is mindboggling to the newcomers.
COBBOLD JOHN of Dayak Nation alerts us to the Dayak leader who is oblivious to the fact that NCR land was sold to Taib & cronies. He also touched on POLITICS OF FEAR in Sarawak.
It could be more, but let us take this figure as true for the time being. Taib's regime grossly undervalues NCR land for the purpose of joint ventures by arbitrarily fixing a rate of RM1,200 per hectare (or RM485 per acre).
AUDIE61 asks whatever has happened to the BN candidate Malcolm Mussen. Is he working so hard or is he a reluctant politician? Is he leaving the BN party machinery to answer all before him? Is this complacency or is this his way of being a Politician? Is he leaving it to the people to choose a quiet politician but yet effective administrator?
