SIEW HOON was seen every day last week at the Sedition Trial of RPK. As this goes to post Siew Hoon is on her flight back to New Zealand. She came into town because she wanted to attend Pete's trial. Merinne is her eyes during the week of the court-hearing.
Since Monday last, at sharp 7:30 each morning her car is outside Marina's house, ready to give Marina a ride to the PJ Sessions Court. What's with this blind lady. Hasn't she got better things to do than to attend court? I had the opportunity to ask her this on that Thursday when court was adjourned for the prosecution to amend their defective charges against RPK.
Tell me about your sight impairment, I asked Siew Hoon. Before delivery of her child she was faced with a chilling decision. The gyne put it very firmly and honestly to Siew Hoon: You have a choice. You child lives but you have to lose your sight. Siew Hoon gave life to her child and accepted this world of darkness.
So what's with you and Raja Petra? I asked.
Her story: We had all moved in to this new community in Sg. Buloh and the usual petty thefts were regular occurances. Raja Petra organized the Rukun Tetanga for our taman. We lived opposite each other. Raja was always thinking about the welfare of others. One night, a thief had got into my house through the roof. When the alarm was raided Raja Petra chased the thief down the road, giving little thought to his own safety. That was Raja Petra.....others before self. When news broke that he was to be brought to court, the least I could do for this champion of the people would be to lend my support by being there. I am grateful that my friend Merinne is my seeing eyes throught these four days. I thought the trial would be over by tomorrow (Friday) and I had booked my glight back to NZ on Sunday.....but I will be with you in spirit.

As Marina has said, all those who visit Malaysia Today have become one large family of those under ISA. We all come from different walks of life, race, religion and culture. I assured RPK and Marina that we are now RPK's eyes, ears, mouth and legs and our hearts will carry his love for all Malaysians.
So let us in unity keep the Malaysia truly Asian and Malaysia Boleh Spirit alive!

The following text message correspondence is betweenYAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Dato' Shafee Abdullah, a Malaysian lawyer who initially represented Abdul Razak Abdullah Baginda who is on trial for abeting the murder of Mongolian national, Altantuya Shaariibuu.
While it does not answer lingering questions about Najib's alleged past relations with Altantuya, the text messages show clearly Najib's active intereference in the case very early on. The messages highlight Najib's willingness to speak with both members of the Attorney General's Chambers and Inspector General of Police about the case, something that suggests an abuse of executive power.
What is particularly revealing and troubling is that the counsel, Shafee, keeps asking Najib for details indicating some political intervention that may have influenced the case. This observation is strengthened by Najib's message to Shafee on 16 November 2006: "Pls do not say anything to the press today. i will explain later. RB will have to face a tentative charge but all is not lost." This message raises a lot of questions about Najib's role in this case. Why did he mention "tentative" charge and that "all is not lost" for RB (Razak Baginda)? How would Najib know this before Razak was charged? Is there already a deal in place that will see Razak aquitted? These are important questions which will have ramifications not just on this case but far beyond.
The text messages were transmitted between Najib's personal mobile phone (+6012 2143177) and Shafee's mobile phone (+6012 3257052).
Those who seek the truth should challenge Najib and Shafee to deny that this correspondence took place between them. Perhaps a record of the messages still resides in the server of the relevant telecommunications company.
The truth is buried somewhere. Those who know what truly happened hope that the truth has been buried deep with Altantuya. But the funny thing is, the truth always finds its way into the hands of those who fight for justice – sometimes in the most mysterious circumstances......ahaaaaaaaaa!

If ever I have a case to answer in court, and I am brought to court because I am in government employ, I WILL NOT ALLOW THE AG'S BOYS TO SPOIL MY CEREAL IN COURT. Over the week I have witnessed enough of their mis-steps, flounderings, idiocies, and inadequacies in Raja Petra's Sedition Trial at the PJ Sessions Court. For most of the time their insipid questioning of their witness have lulled us into sonorious slumber, of which a few of us (I stand guilty, if charged) succumbed to.
If patience, long-suffering and forbearance are the prerequisite virtues that can jettison one into the Hall of Sanctity, the beautious and comely Sessions Court Judge, Justice Rozina Ayob would be my candidate to be inducted, without a doubt. Despite being on medical leave after an operation, she had to go thru these shinanigans perpetrated by the AG's choir boys. I have researched her condition and conclude that sitting thru these frivolities engineered by the said choir, can cause excruiciating pain, physically and emotionally. And she sat through all these, cajoling, advising, probing, admonishing and dispensing procedural processes - SMILING!!!UNDOUBTEDLY, MY TYPE OF A WOMAN. I just might give her a stalk of roses at the end of the trial.
However, whilst the the prosecution tried their damnedest to put us to sleep they did entertain too.
Indi Nadarajah and Alan Pereira of Comedy Court could get some material for their next appearance.

The prosecution admitted that the exhibit which forms the foundation of the charge against RPK was not originally taken from Malaysia-Today but was a police cut-&-paste job.They also did not deny that a large part of the original article is true.
The prosecution is seeking to stand down the trial, and decide what to do as the charge may be defective. The judge is alarmed that the exhibit to the charge is not the original but a police's cut-and-paste article.
. at this point it became apparent that the charge was defective....court adjourned till Monday.....to save us from a bad weekend and for the A G Patail's choristers to sing a different tune....or they might recruit.......

Whilst the next PM put up his team I will be busy seeking out a former student who engineered this born again thingy. Such powers, mystical/diabolical I am told this born again thing has. As such I need to find out from my former student if this thing is for the good of mankind or is it some stuff to do in your enemies and in-laws.

Altantuya’s dad speaks: RPK shouldn’t be a victim of political (in)justice <>
Altantuya Shariibuu’s dad, Stev, has emailed me his statement (through his lawyer in Mongolia) regarding RPK’s trial and detention under the ISA. The image above is his own handwriting. The translation copy I receive in his mail says:
I understand, Mr. Raja Petra has good personal character and has a good reputation and runs humanitarian activity.
I understand that the below issues were directly connected with murder case of my daughter:
- Who did arrange visa issue for my daughter while she visited in French?
- Who was attending in the trip to French and what did they do?
If it could make clear those issues, they would understand every thing. Why is there so much force and influence in the case? Because there was a serious issue. Thus they destroyed my daughter.
Unfortunately, they pressed down Mr.Raja Petra’s statement. I think this issue needs to get attention from international human right organizations.
He (RPK) shouldn’t be a victim of politic for justice. It would be justice if they release Mr.Raja Petra.
As we are, all Mongolian worry for him and his justice, we lack of information on truth and situation.

I was late today. The air-cond acted up and I got a lift from my grandkid's grandmother. The crowd was not as yesterday's but you couldn't get a seat in the gallery. So we stood outside - the outstandingsupporters. We bonded, strangers no more as we were there with this mission -

And as such I was not discouraged by a lesser crowd......mostly new faces.....people who could not come out yesterday, being the first day after a week's vacation.....and were here today.
I sneaked in when a recess was called. This recess was to enable the prosecution to set up their video. When court resumed it became apparent that the prosecution wanted to play the talk-show that Pete took part in on RTM Blog programme. The defense, the incisive Chandra and the indomitable Gobind, MP for Puchong took turns to squash the opposition's request as irrelevent, to which an accommodating Yang Arif Rozina Ayob sternly obliged. (Aside: some of you guys requested for a photo of Justice Rozina. I am sorry. Being a law-abiding citizen, no camera's are allowed.....and moreover James was not to be seen around today.) Round One to the Defence. Dang, she can be sweet, but she can be firm I tell you as when at one stretch the boorish prosecution lulled some of us to sleep. The sleeply heads were awakened by her chiding: My court is not for you to have your siesta. If she made eye contact with me (one of the guilty ones) I would have said that I was nodding in agreement wih her succint repartees (with my eyes closed of course.) Let me not forget to mention that our two upfront defence lawyers, Chandra and Gobind were their effective selves because of the support from Amarjit, the third member of the defence team. His periodic passing of notes to the front contributed to a second good day.
Lest I forget, if I was the Attorney General I would send his bunch for some refresher. However, it will be a sheer waste of time....some are untrainable.....or like boss, like subordinate......no wonder some can get away with murder......and WILL get away with C1,2,3,4 murder! NO? They were dismal compared to Cool-Cut Chandra and the Puchong Panther (the latter's dad was the Lion of Jelutong, if you recall)..
The prosecution's second witness of the day went AWOL. And the beautiful lady looking down on all of us were not amused.
The last witness of the day, the producer of the said Blog talk-show, to me was a friendly witness. Our defence team did not want to cross-examine him, As he left he shook Pete's hand and gave Pete a reassuring tap on the shoulders.
Proceedings will continue tomorrow. The crowd thronged and greeted Pete. When I hugged him, he whispered to me: Be Careful Bernard.
