GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.

ON Wednesday I had the opportunity to meet Mr and Mrs Teoh, parents of the late Teoh Beng Hock, at the Shah Alam Court. I told them that I would not be able to make it for the prayers on Friday but would be there at the Chinese Assembly Hall at 7:30pm to participate in the 1st anniversary memorial service for Beng Hock.

I took this opportunity to inform them that SABM would be remembering all the 1805 who died in police custody at a ceremony along the river banks of the Bar Council, tonight at 7:00pm

Say, Zorro, is it a typing error, shouldn't the surname be Teoh rather than Tan?

The sudden and inexplicable disappearance of MACC deputy director Hishamuddin Hashim - whom witnesses identified as the last person to be seen with Teoh before his death, the attempted suppression of the MACC whistleblowers' letter and the accelerated 'early retirement' of previous MACC chief Ahmad Said all point to a concerted attempt to get the key figures out of the public eye.

Teoh Beng Hock died a horrible death because MACC operated as a political tool of the Umno-BN regime which was trying to undermine the Selangor state government by any and all means.

DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang raised doubts today about the sincerity of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) condolence statement yesterday to the family of Teoh Beng Hock, as it was only issued in Mandarin.

In the statement yesterday, MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed said the commission would “not compromise” or “cover up” the actions of any culprit or anyone found potentially involved in the death of Teoh.

“Firstly, the condolence statement is only issued in Mandarin and only given coverage in the Chinese-language media. Is the MACC’s year-late condolence only for the consumption of the Chinese media but not for the consumption of all Malaysians in all language media in Malaysia?

“If so, where is the genuine remorse and contrition?” asked Lim.

Abu Kassim’s statement claimed there would be no cover-up. — file picThe statement was not carried by local Malay or English newspapers.

Teoh’s younger sister, Lee Lan, told The Malaysian Insider yesterday she had not read the MACC statement and would respond to it at a public talk organised by the DAP at the KL-Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall tonight.

She said she had only been alerted to the news by a reporter from a Chinese newspaper.

The MACC statement was not available in Bahasa Malaysia or English.

Lim claimed today that Abu Kassim’s remarks also contradicted the actions of MACC counsel, Datuk Abdul Razak Musa, during the on-going inquest into the cause of Teoh’s death.

SOULS LOOKING FOR OTHERS TO FRY

Surely the dead cannot cry
For their eyes are already dry
But their souls will continue to try
At the door of natural justice to pry

aint no difference with a change in the head so long MACC is being used as just another tool by UMNO.
Beng Hock, dont die in vain. Show us the murderers though we can with educated guess who is responsible. Just like your son lost a father prematurely, let them suffer the same pain.

yes, Beng Hock, come back as a ghost to haunt all these bastards! The worst scumbags on earth are plentiful in MACC and they will meet their Maker one day and they will be made to pay big time!
