It is always gratifying to read that the PM has finally found the right words after his recent boo-boo FRIVOLOUS frolic with the press at a post-Supreme Council Meeting. Yesterday, he was reported to have said:

What’s THE programme?
On the premise that in every school-going age group, 3-5% are GIFTED, Mrs PM, despite all the negativities surrounding her, has found inspiration and solace to initiate the National Permata Pintar. If this will plug the brain-exodus we are now experiencing, I am, as a former pedagogue, all for it. But I have to honestly warn that unless all the prerequisite structures and processes are sustained, it will just be another flavor of the month, another feel-good programme. We have experienced numerous knee-jerk programmes churned out by some government TIN-TANKS….yes, pun intended. The National Service continuing fiasco is one. We will not use this space to enumerate them….that will be for better times like the next General Elections!
But like I said earlier, I am for such programs if Mrs PM takes full ownership and not give it to any of our Universities that are trying desperately to claw their way out of the pits! Worst still, don’t politicize this brainchild. We don't want anything braindead. And just a word of caution....dont get some Sunshine Something and Isyoda involved in the construction of this school for the girfted,

I think we can cut to the chase and leave out all these b#*^sh%$ "Self Appreciation" talk between the 1PM and his 1Wife.
We can also leave out the objectives and target deliverables of the 1Wife's National Permata Pintar program which is all rhetorics. What is of greatest importance is "WHAT IS THE BUDGET?" for this program.
Rest assured the BUDGET will be a big one, like paying RM20,000 for an obsolete computer, and guess who will be the real beneficiaries of this National Permata Pintar program. No prizes for guessing!!!!
If only these 1Elites spend half their time doing something really beneficial for ALL Malaysians, we would be a truly blessed country. Instead they spend all their time milking and pillaging this country until this country is bled dry.

If the 'affirmative action' and the 'ketuanan mindset' is completely left out of this National Permata Pintar programme and students are chosen based on merits and their superior IQ, then and only then we can be proud of this initiative.
Would the 1PM and his 1wife shake off the shakles of the UMNO,BTN hagemony to implement it for ALL Malaysians irrespective of colour, race or religion?
Let's wait and see. Hope it does not become another billion ringgit fiasco.

Hi Bernard, does her good work cover all Malaysian children or just Malay children. So far, her charitable activities are targeted at only the Malay children. Hardly do I hear of her having anything to do with an Indian, Chinese, Bidayu or Kadazan kid.
Did she consult with the National Association of Gifted Children before all this hoo-ha ? Yes, there is such an organisation - poorly funded, insufficient voice, etc ... all the trappings of a very minor NGO, that nobody gave a hoot about for more than a decade.
Don't be fooled that she loves & adores kids...well all sandiwara punya bollywood lor ..kissing.. hugging...carrying...feeding...
She is there because a lot of money to make MAH!

Aiyaah uncle Zorro, this is another PR strategy cooked up by the Spin doctors hired by Jibby using public monie$ to shore up steroid face flagging Top-Of-Mind market share points.
Like all gomen initiatives, its full of wayang kulit frivilous choozpah. Six months down the road, no body even remembered it happened and the initiative will die a natural death. By then the spin doctors would have cooked up another publicity stunt for first lady.
