FISHING VILLAGE LASS TAKES ON LYNAS.
On Monday 5 September, I was invited by a former student for Happy Hours at an upscale joint in Bangsar. I asked for a rain-check as Mum had just joined the wired elite (pacemaker) and I decided I will park myself at the SDMC just in case. Before checking out, the surgeon told me that it was not necessary for me to be around and that their staff and trainee nurses would take good care of Mum. “Isn’t this happy hours time?....I read your blog Uncle Zorro.” I knew he will give special attention to Mum and I headed for Bangsar, relieved.
My host was happy to see me and introduced me around. I don’t know any of them. They were the KL Beautiful People, the celebrities who come to this dive to see and to be seen. The only celebrities I know are those who have seen the insides of lockups one time too many after they have been tear-gassed and bathed in PDRM showers. However, I was enjoying the company of some of these gorgeous darlings…..starlets, actresses, singers, models all enjoying their cocktails. JAIS would have had a most successful outing had somebody squealed on us.
Dang we do have some of the most ravishing, drop-dead dazzling stunners, some of whom could be possible Miss Universe…..if only they were allowed to participate. But I digress…..until one of them asked, “Aren’t you afraid to be wearing that tee shirt?” I did not realize that I had on the banned (is it now?) Bersih tees. My stock answer has always been this: If you are afraid, the other side will get braver! It was then that I asked them if they supported any causes. I gathered they get to do promotions sometimes for some charity. “What about LYNAS?” When I got blank looks, I realized that I was looking up at fruitless trees! That was Monday but this morning I was thrilled…… that finally somebody (a celebrity?) made a stand…… HERE.
Tan Chui Mui is a Malaysian-based filmmaker born in Sungai Ular, a small fishing village in Kuantan. She graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in Film and Animation in 2002 from the Multimedia University.
In 2007, she received the Tiger Award from the 36th Internaional Film Festival Rotterdam with her debut feature film Love Conquers All. The film had previously won the New Currents Awards and Fipresci Award at the 11th Pusan International Film Festioval in 2006. In 2008 she had a project of making a short film every month. She had made 7 short films, and she called them All My Failed Attempts.
She has been actively involved in the Malaysia independent film scene, working as producer, editor, script writer and occasionally actress. In 2004, she set up Da Huang Pictures with Amir Muhammad, James Lee and Liew Seng Tat.

BERNAMA INFECTED WITH SYPHILIS?
My first association with Bernama was way back in the early 70s when it was not infected. I was amongst a group who used to write letters to the editor and was one of these who were invited by NST to be a guest of Bernama when the President of South Vietnam visited our national news agency.
Nguyễn Văn Thiệu (April 5, 1923 – September 29, 2001) was president of South Vietnam from 1965 to 1975. He was a general in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN), became head of a military junta, and then president after winning a fraudulent election.
During his rule, Thieu gained a reputation for turning a blind eye to and indulging in corruption, and appointing loyal cronies rather than competent officers to lead ARVN units.
He established a despotic rule over South Vietnam until he resigned and left the country abroad an American helicopter with millions of dollars in gold just a few days before the fall of Saigon and the ultimate Viet Cong victory. He eventually settled in Massachusetts and lived in seclusion until his death, avoiding angry refugee compatriots who blamed his administration for the nation’s demise.
Back to Bernama……he, President Thieu was so impressed with the workings of our national news agency. When he expressed those sentiments, one aide of his said something to this effect during a makan kechil: “When we set up our own news agency, we can call it Thieunama, Mr. President.” He nodded his approval. But of course a very senior Bernama journalist, discretely told the aide that the word “nama” is exclusive to Malaysia, kind of like copy right. As such we never heard of Thieunama!
THOSE days Bernama received the telexes from around the world, and disbursed them to the Straits Echo, the Star, Straits Times, Malay Mail, Utusan and Berita Harian.
THOSE days, Bernama received the government’s communiqué first hand and they passed it down to the mainstream media. They passed the news as it was received. Period.
Those were THOSE days!
THESE days, Bernama not only wants to have a lick, aping our servile MSM, they want to outdo Utusan and TV3.
THESE days, Bernama is behaving like a trollop, some slattern strumpet, has-been hussy slut, and fast fading jaded floozie streetwalker selling its syphilitic wares to their fawning DEPENDENTS.
Why syphilis and not gonorrhea? Because the former is the ultimate in STD!
Bear with me here. During those Woodstock days of weeds, women and wine, a doctor friend made it his apostolic duty to make sure that I went the straight and narrow because I was dating his niece. He called me one day to his clinic after school was over for lunch in Setapak. After lunch he insisted that I follow him back to his clinic to show me something I had to see. I did. A male patient was already in his room. He beckoned me to follow him and the patient into the toilet. He told me to watch closely as the patient peed! Dang! The pee come about in showers. The damn dick-head was like perforated! “That Bernard is one stage of syphilis! And the late stage could be blindness!” I wasn’t sure if he was trying to scare me but that shower of pee DID? What he was warning me was to wear protection.
THOSE days we called protection, the French Cap, the French letter, Dick-Sock, Gentleman's Jerkin, The Goalie, Jimmy Hat, Johnny Bag,
Love Glove, Love Sock, Mr. Prevention, Raincoat, Robber, Willie Warmer, Willie Hat, Salami Sling, Goalie.
THESE DAYS you guys make reference to Prophelactic, Rubber,
Sheaths, Condum or just Durex, easier to remember, for sure for all interested parties.
In 2005, the Guangzhou Haokian Bio-science company of China introduced a line of condoms named for the US 43rd president (with the Chinese spelling of Kelitun). No prize for guessing.
So why be so unkind as to tag Bernama with syphilis. Remember the pee-shower.
Bernama as I understand is the National News Agency. They are to cascade news to the mainstream. As simple and straightforward as that. But no, they SHOWERED the MSM with their pee and like servile slaves the MSM blindly (remember the late stage of syphilis?) lap it up from the gutter. WILL SARAWAKIANS SIGN THIS PETITION?
Sarawak Report HERE now challenges the FBI, as the US’s top law enforcement agency, to launch an immediate review into why one of its main headquarters is located in a building that is the likely product of money laundering.
It is time the FBI also reviewed why no investigation has so far been launched into the Taib family’s extensive string of assets in North America? With Malaysia already investigating the Chief Minister and an investigation already underway in Switzerland, it is high time the United States acted on its own evidence and led by example.

TOO MANY HOLIDAYS AND I LOST TRACK OF TIME.
THIS WAS MEANT TO BE MY FRIDAY GUEST BLOGGER…..but like I said I got waylaid by our endless stream of holidays………
I am in no mood to put up any pics to support this posting….I am pissed off with what I came across today at a low-key gathering organized by cartoonist Johnny Ong.

This is a story about Kam Agong a mother of 8 children who died 30 days after Cesarean Section performed by 2 Doctors who were mere General Practitioners. Cause of death due to Secondary Postpartum Hemorrhage (severe bleeding).
Dang…..the same state with a heart hospital with no heart surgeons?
Come on lah, Sarawakian brothers and sisters….get off your butt and do what you have to do! I have rooted for you in one by-election and one general election. I am disappointed by your apparent inertia! You just cannot depend on Sarawak Report and Bloggers to do all the work. You got to work with them!
