GEE, I FELT GOOD TODAY.

I arrived at the PJ Sessions Court at 8:15am and was thrilled to see RPK's supporters congregating in batches outside the courthouse and in the courtyard of the courthouse. I thanked as many as possible, for their support. MOST were clad in the now-familiar T-Shirt.

But my day got better as I saw my dear friends Gerry and Christine came through the gates. It was a good surprise. I grew up with Gerard Rozells in the mid 50's, schooled together in St.Xaviers, coached football together in Selangor, and now live in the same condominium. Gerry and Chris had come to lend support to Pete in his sedition trial.

Before Sessions Court Judge Justice Rozina Ayod came in from her chambers we were able to see Pete. I was able give him a hug and stiffled a sob. He looked gaunt, lost some weight, and his sugar level is at 5 from 8. But let me just say this. If the authorities tried to smother Pete, they have failed miserably. He is still gutsy, combative, indestructable (yet) and as sharp as ever.

I came out of the first days hearing, elated. Chandra, Pete's lead counsel was just BRILLIANT! He summarised the days proceedings with questions at the Government's expert IT witness, Harme Mohamad, Deputy Director, International Affairs Department, MCMC:

It went like this, after establishing the fact that Harme does read Malaysia Today.

Chandra: Do you agree that since his incarceration in Kamunting, three or four postings were allegedly posted by Raja Petra?

Harme: Yes.

Chandra: So anybody can put up a post under the name of Raja Petra. You agree.

Harme: Yes.

Chandra: Do you think he wrote against corruption?

Harme: Yes.

Chandra: He also championed transparency?

Harme: Yes.

Chandra: Did he abhor money politics?

Harme: Yes

Chandra: Did he write against ethnic polarisation?

Harme: Yes.

Go here and here for my lawyer/farmer's take on the proceedings:

+++++

Justice Rozina Ayob is pretty/beautiful. She came into courst although she wa on medical leave. She was sharp. She was perky. She came across as firm but fair. Is she God-sent. I fervently hope so.

See you guys tomorrow, 9:00am, same place and thanks so much for showing up this morning.

HANTU ADMONISHES!

Over Macallan and some sushi at the Wharf last night, Hantu said that I have to get my facts right. He chastised that Bloggers who do not get their facts right are sham. He said that Bloggers who have a price are mercenaries. Between stacato belchings he asked me if I was a paid Blogger? I took a swipe at him but the devil in him knew what was coming and thus there was no contact. Dang, I told him I would not mind if some kind soul can put gas into my guzzling tanker and spill some beers into my empty tankard. That could help and that is the only help I need.

remember I cracked into two my MCA live membership card, at Edward Lees final ceremah on 7 March? I am memberless now and shall remain such. I will always support THE CAUSE....and the cause will vary as the scenario changes. For now the Cause, is a change of Government.

To get back Hantu's tantrums. I asked him what facts did I get wrong. His rejoinder: You bloggers were bitching that the immigration department deleted Altantuya's entry into the country. I shot back that it was imperative that she came trough immigration. She was C4ed here wasn't she. The days of the magic carpet is over. It is so easy to delete a computer data.......for a price, no?

"Think out of the box for a change.....she did not come thru immigration.....this is how she came into the country, you idiots"....and he flew off but not without that awful wasabe belch......

features invariably change in this type of aerial situation but you know who is who, ya?

Dang! The old bird could be right......after all Altantuya had powerful friends (lovers?) in the Ministry of Defence, (MOD), mah!!!!!! YES WE GOT TO GET OUR FACTS RIGHT.....DON'T SHOOT AND THEN DECIDE TO AIM.

IF ONLY......if only....

Events of the last three days - the PWTC Open House, the dday trip to Kamunting to lend support to groups from Penang and Perak to wish RPK Selamat Hari Raya and last night's hugely successfull Pandamaran Anti-ISA Rally - left me emotionally energised but physically drained..............and the punch that Gee concoted at her open house this afternoon left me woozy.......and I got this call:

Pak Lah will not contest the Presidency and giving the said pole position to his annointed 2nd in command with a message: Take it but never say that I did not warn you ......the grinding stone will be out and things will be a-sharpening......be armoured. Me I am going to take a good rest. I hope to send KJ over to Anwar for nurturing and reeducation. Jibby, you can take possession of Omar Ong, Khalid and the rest....how you use them will be how useful they will be to you. My advice to you Jibby, you rule not her ok? Make the best use of your short tenure....you may not have enough time to cover all bases and plug those holes(?). I don't want you to enter the Guiness Book of Records for being the .........you know what I mean, yah? Yes one more item to interest you....Ku Li will court Anwar who may give him the premiership for a term. Howzat? Me I am leaving these interesting times.....and Jibby, your biggest mistake was to send RPK to Kamunting. Remember? He and his boys, those bloody bloggers did contribute to the efforts that wrested GE12 and Permatang Pauh from us. And I heard you paid good duit to start your own blog too. Don't waste your time blogging. Better you start flogging our badly imploded mare UMNO. One parting shot.....the only guy you can trust would be your cousin Hisham. Muhy, is a spent force, like many riding our tired mare. You guys made fun of me and thought that I was sleeping....my eyes may be shut and I could from exprience simulate a purring snore, BUT MY HEARING WAS NEVER IMPAIRED. I am calling it quits because none of you wanted to nurse the old mare to health. Goodbye and good luckJibby, you sorely need the latter. Let me ramble one last time: be warned.

......................and that damn alarm clock clanged annoyingly.....dang it was just a dream....but dreams are ........what is that word for it....some machinations of the subconscious?

...............if only, just if only.......the bait is taken.....time to go a-fishing and to watch MU scorch Blackburn. No?

T'WAS A SUCCESSFUL OUTING MINUS THE FOOD.

I have never and would never attend any political parties’ Open House. Today, however I attended the PM and his Cabinet’s Open House, not to eat but to make a STATEMENT – Free RPK, I Am With RPK, and No To ISA. I’d like to believe that we DID.

I have always said this. The cops have a job to do, but I believe that they could do it with more professionalism. We were prevented by Officer Sydney who said that we could not go in because of the T-shirtS we wore. He was very officious and had both hands in his pockets. We were taught from young, that this was rude gesture and bad behavior.

When Amarjit, RPK’s lawyer told him bluntly that we were going in despite his recalcitrant stance and that he could arrest us if that was what he earlier inferred. He backed down and went away to seek counsel.

We waited for another 24minutes…..and whilst waiting I saw Officer Lee of the Candlelight Vigil night….the same officer that I cussed about. I went up to him, wished him and we talked about Saturday night. Haris snapped us when I put my arm on Officer Lee’s shoulder. I confessed that I called him names and he replied that he did not hear it. We shook hands and his intercom crackled.

We continued our wait…..and then the gods smiled on our good intentions. Officer Lee said we could proceed to the fourth floor but we had to go in twos and threes. We gave him a clap of appreciation.

Pak Lah had come down to the 2nd Floor and as wished him, I asked him to free all ISA detainees. I was thrilled when the First Lady remembered me as Othman's former teacher. I walked away. Maybe I was rude not to have wished the DPM and the other cabinet members. Syed Al-Blurr was hiding somewhere I know.

Go here here and here for stories by Haris, DelCapo and Malaysiakini.

BARISAN RAKYAT BLOGGERS SALUTE THOSE WHO
WALKED WITH US.

TOMORROW MORNING WE TRAVEL TO KAMUNTING TO MEET UP WITH MARINA & ACTIVISTS FROM PENANG.

SHE IS UPSET BUT STILL SHE WISHES ALL SELAMAT HARI RAYA FROM PETE AND HER FAMILY.

I called Marina at 9:15pm and she said that she had arrived in Taiping. "How are things?" she asked. "Gus says that Haris and I have put him in a spot.....he is getting calls about the T-shirts as far away as Kota Kinabalu." I replied. "How are you coping?" I asked pretending to be cheerful.
"I am upset, Bernard," she said. I know why. Read her posting:

I just read my husband's article on www. malaysia-today.net No Holds Barred and was extremely upset and it made my heart so heavy reading what Pet wrote: “It costs RM8 to feed a dog according to the Malay Mail survey and only RM4.50 to feed ISA detainees.....

"I feed my cats and fish premium food such as science diet and would never dream of feeding my pets the food that we are fed here. I actually stopped eating the food here after the first couple of days because it gave me diarrhea. A couple of nights ago I vomitted after eating the food and now I cannot even stand the sight or smell of the trays that they sent to our cell twice a day. I now survive on dates and plain bread....."

Umno preparing food for 200,000 people for their Open House for the 1st day of Hari Raya and what would the cost be per head?

How can Muslims of high authority use this unIslamic law, the ISA, on people during the month of Ramadan (the holy month for Muslims), put them under such barbaric conditions and rehabilitate them according to their perverted standards. Where is the compassion, where is the humanity and most important of all, where is the love of mankind that Islam enjoins its followers to observe? Can someone please explain all this to me? I am really very confused. All I can see is hypocrisy and man's inhumanity to man, not compassion, consideration and common decency.

Jakim is coming up with an Islamic rehabilitation program for my husband, it is a joke. Did they even understand what Pet wrote in the first place since it is in English? What he wrote was not anti-Islam. The use of the ISA on Pet is all politically motivated. He has taken on powerful people and since the Prime Minister is weak, he is unable to use the powers that are available to bring justice. This is the tragedy of our country. Let us work towards a change in government, one that is committed to abolishing the despicable ISA. We want Rule of Law not Rule by ISA.

I am in Kamunting today, staying the night so that I can be first in line to get into the prison. It pains the grandchildren, children and I to be without Pet on Hari Raya. We miss him and the joy that he brings to us each day.

Thanks for your support and prayers my family have received. We must continue this fight to free Pet and his friends under detention in Kamunting. "Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf, Zahir dan Batin."

Love from Pet and Family

OVER THIS FOOD THING, SOMEBODY MAY THROW A MOLOTOV COCKTAIL INTO PETE'S CELL.....YOU JUST CANNOT DISCOUNT THE POSSIBILITY.....THEY WILL CLUTCH AT ANY STRAW.....NOW THAT THE SHIP IS SINKING AND THE CREW IS DROWNING.

I AM DEMANDING FROM HAMID-ALL-BLURRED THAT YOU PROVIDE RPK WITH ALL THE PROTECTION HE DESERVES SINCE YOU PUT HIM IN THERE TO PROTECT HIM.

PETE, HE DID IT AGAIN AND WITH FLAIR.....

GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH

NO HOLDS BARRED: TUESDAY 30SEPT.08

Raja Petra Kamarudin

I was perturbed when I read YB Teresa Kok’s statement that the food under ISA detention is equivalent or slightly better than dog food. It costs RM8 to feed a dog, according to the Malay Mail survey and only RM4.50 to feed on ISA detainees.

I feed my cats and fish premium food such as science diet and would never dream of feeding my pets the food that we are fed here. I actually stopped eating the food here after the first couple of days because it gave me diarrhea.

A couple of nights ago I vomited after eating the food and now I cannot even stand the sight or smell of the trays that they send to our cell twice a day.

I now survive on dates and plain water and I suppose if that is good enough for camels to survive in the Arabian Desert, it should be good enough for me.

I was told camels have a healthy sex drive and I would like to believe it because of the date that is my staple food. Of cause, there is no way I can test this theory until I come safely out of this place.

Actually, food is the least of my worries at this point of time. I am presently in three months solitary confinement and the only pussy I get to see is this mangy cat that somehow has found its way into my cellblock to sleep outside my locked door.

It has not rained since I arrived here a week ago and I was told Kamunting has not seen any rain for the last few weeks.

The heat in the cell is unbearable and the air is very stuffy.

The uncomfortable environment does help to put your mind off your growling stomach.

I am what they call under orientation. This three months' orientation I suppose is to get me used to the 2 years I am going to spend here.

One of my favorite classics that I used to read in Standard 1 is the Tale of Two Cities, which is about the French Revolution. I can now better appreciate the battle cry “give me liberty or give me death”. They say you appreciate something only after it has been taken away from you. Today, my liberty is at the top of my priority list. But I know it shall not come soon and it shall not come easy and it shall only come if there is a change of government and if the new government fulfills its promise to abolish the ISA.
