PKR ELECTION FRAUD AND SURREPTITIOUS MOVES SNOWBALLING?

IN all my previous postings I ended my post by asking for answers on irregularities in the PKR election process. I made no judgments and just asked for verification of misdemeanors reported.

I am in receipt of this (below) and I am producing this unabridged and unedited:

Election fraud & underhanded tactics of PKR leaders in party elections

I, Jenapala a/l Perumal Subaan am holding this press conference to express my total disgust and extreme outrage at the rampant incidences of election fraud and underhanded tactics practiced by PKR party leaders Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali during the current party elections.

To show how serious I am of exposing these practices, I am committed to hold a press conference every Monday at this venue. For today, I will focus on five cases in particular.

1. PERMATANG PAUH – in this case, there were three contenders for the post of Timbalan Ketua Cabang - Deputy Chief Minister of Penang Mansor Othman, Roselai Muhamad and Che Mat Hashim, the incumbent. After submitting his name, Roselai suddenly withdrew on the day of the nomination after intense pressure to do so. In the case of Che Mat Hashim, he withdrew on the day before the elections and his supporters claim that he was pressured to do so by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The removal of both these candidates paved the way for Mansor Othman, Deputy Chief Minister of Penang and one of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s blue eyed boys, to win uncontested.

Even more ironic, the Deputy Chief Minister Mansor Othman was allowed to host a big Hari Raya gathering on the day of the elections. Is this not a blatant disregard of campaign etiquette? This happened in Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s own backyard and could not have taken place without him knowing.

2. BATU GAJAH - The second case involves my nomination in Batu Gajah. When my name was written on the nomination board, a senior party leader, Vice President Lee Boon Chye openly rubbed off my name from the board and refused to allow me to participate in the party divisional elections. First of all, Lee Boon Chye has absolutely no authority whatsoever to do this. Secondly, he also has absolutely no authority whatsoever to decide on who participates in the elections.

3. USE OF THE SELANGOR STATE MACHINERY - I have also been informed by those at the grassroots level that Azmin Ali is abusing the Selangor government machinery - state excos are using their offices and allocations for the party elections while state information officers are coercing and inducing those at the grassroots level to support him. This is an insult to our Pakatan partners DAP and PAS and also the people of Selangor who elected them to serve the electorate.

4. OFFERS OF POSITIONS – Azmin Ali in his visit to Tuaran openly informed a gathering there that the candidate for Ketua Cabang Ansari Abdullah would also be a candidate for the general elections if he won. Azmin Ali has also offered Federal Cabinet positions to those who support him and ensure he becomes number two.

5. DISCREPANCIES IN KUDAT, SILAM, BANDAR INDERA MAHKOTA AND RAUB – as all of you are probably aware, in Kudat over 800 people turned up with incumbent Ketua Cabang Mursalim Tangul, most of whom had only temporary ICs and were identified on the ground as illegal immigrants. In Silam, incumbent Ketua Pemuda Silam and Timbalan Ketua Pemuda Negeri Johan bin Nul’s name could not be found on the membership list despite his nomination being accepted earlier. Johan bin Nul was subsequently disqualified and he could not compete. The winner, Johani bin Abdul Halim is a known Azmin Ali supporter.

In Bandar Indera Mahkota and Raub another suspicious incident occurred. After the close of elections and the initial counting, both candidates aligned to Dato’ Zaid Ibrahim were announced as winners. However in both divisions, a recount was called upon when several members turned up later insisting that they had not voted. Interestingly after the second recount, Azmin Ali won narrowly in both divisions.

CONCLUSION – I now want to challenge Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali to confirm or openly deny their involvement in the incidents I have just highlighted.

I also want to know whether Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is aware of the incident involving the senior party leader who called an Indian leader a ‘pariah’ and whether an apology has been offered to this Indian leader and the community at large.

To Dr Molly Cheah, the head of the JPP I would like to ask you this – do you have two sets of rules that you observe? One set for us ordinary members who want to contest in what you are preaching to be a ‘free and fair election’ and another set of rules for the elite cartel that runs PKR?

To the party leaders, I have only this to say - practice what you preach. We have been criticizing the Barisan Nasional and SPR for the unfair election practices. This is just not an election for PKR members. Malaysians are watching. Let them not be disappointed as I am as to how we have conducted ourselves so far.

Ex Deputy Secretary, PKR

ONLY IF I COULD…..I would call a halt to this circus and declare all current nominations null and void and call for new nominations and this time, do it honestly and minus all the chicanery we are witnessing just these past two days.

How can the rakyat place their trust in PKR when they know what is happening at this stage and will continue to happen if not stopped.

Has PKR no iota of consideration for their coalition partners who are hoping that all goes well.

NO, I AM IN NO POSITION TO PUT A STOP TO THIS INVASIVE CANCER EATING INTO THE ELECTION PROCESS AT SUCH AN EARLY STAGE.

However, if MALPRACTICES carry on I am tempted to have this personal wish that Datuk ZAID IBRAHIM come away from this unclean election. Let’s fight another day after we have purged PKR of its currently inherent uncleanliness.

AGAIN, I AM MAKING NO JUDGEMENTS. WE JUST NEED SOME ANSWERS FROM THE PEOPLE WHO ARE MANAGING THIS ELECTION PROCESS. IS THERE FRAUD IN THIS NOMINATION EXERCISE?

WILL GOOD SENSE PREVAIL?

PAK SAKO. IS HIS A VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS?

Anonymous Jason X said...

Uncle Zorro,

Sorry to distract you. I think you and the rest of us here will find this article in CPI very interesting.

September 19, 2010 12:31 PM

JASON, I read the CPI piece yesterday and had intended to feature Pak Sako's article for my TUESDAY'S PICK.

However, I feel that this impactful piece needs to stand alone.

Thanks for the nudge Jason X.

If a religious position is to be taken by any political party or any citizen that is founded on respect for religious beliefs and support for the freedom to practice any religion (or none at all), then this position should encourage living a life guided by a universal set of shared moral values and one containing aspects of the spiritual, whatever the religious or non-religious route taken. It follows that religion is a means towards these larger goals. This awareness is cardinal. Unity is achieved as a result of these common goals, not by having or propagating any particular religion.

What we should first abandon is the ambition to create a state of “one mankind under one religion”. We should not harbour false and childish hopes that only through one religion for all can we get people to step onto the expressway of righteousness and practice moral values, or that only thus can we lead everyone to the promised land of God-realisation, as if it is our duty and right. Such an aspiration is but a certain road to perdition.

Instead, we should be enlightened and courageous enough to consider accepting that people can take many valid paths towards goals of spirituality and right living.

We should be enlightened and courageous enough to consider admitting that no religion or belief system has a monopoly of or is exclusively privy to these moral values or “steps to the ultimate blessings of God or heaven”.

We should awaken to the fact that moral values and spiritual teachings are not exhaustively found in any one religion. The teachings of one religion can be instructive to adherents of another religion and vice versa.

We should be able to say that the choice of religion is a personal one; that in line with the right to freely practice one's religion as one shall practice it, religion and religious practices should not be imposed upon any individual such as by the authorities or the state, or by a society that has been so conditioned by state policy that it passively imposes religion upon its own members.

Should there be a public demand for religious guidance or for places of worship, then this shall be provided. In no uncertain terms should this be seen to imply consent for the imposition of religion or its practices by a righteous authority.

These are among the things that the so-called religious democrats should be forthright about, but are not.

This is what we should be striving for if we believe in a Malaysia that is just, free and harmoniously multi-religious, but are not.

There are serious obstacles to these that we are reluctant to come to terms with, but must.

IT IS GETTING DIRTY!

Earlier Zaid Ibrahim had won at Bandar Indera Mahkotha and Raub. A group came in protesting that they did not vote yet. They got their chance. Final tally - Zaid lost BIM by 6 votes and Raub by one single vote.

Astounding this PKR election machinery.

Who is behind all this?

ANYONE IN PKR CARE TO ENLIGHTEN US?

....AND IT IS HAPPENING AGAIN.....

In the KUDAT Division election, state secretary MURSALIN TANJUL, who is contesting the election as Division Chief arrived at the centre with 800 new members ALL WITH TEMPORARY ICs.

I do not know whose camp Mursalin is in. He should be DISQUALIFIED immediately. Has Sabahans forgotten how they were robbed because of migrants with MyKads. Has money politics reared its disgusting prick again? Will Sabahans ever learn? And who in PKR is employing this trickery again?

I received this news from "Concerned", This can be confirmed until somebody in Kudat give proof that this is rubbish and not be be believed.

ANYONE IN KUDAT?

HANTU III AND I ARE ANGRY.....WITH EACH OTHER.

My humble RM90 nokia donated to me when its predecessor went into the washing machine does not allow me to twit, so sms is my means of communication.

This morning I received this from Hantu III:

Hantu III: Do u know that Azmin is in Tuaran?

Me: Yes, I got the schedule of PKR visit to Sabah and Sarawak.

Hantu III: Do u know that Anwar was with him?

Me: Yes, as per schedule.

Hantu III: U c no wrong in this?

Me: Wats so wrong?

Hantu III: He cannot take sides!

Me: Did he?

Ten minutes later.

Hantu III: M not dumb.

Me: Never said u are.

Hantu III: But you are!

Remembering anger management techniques I read, it is best to respond rather than to react to triggers like this from Hantu III, I responded.

Me: If u feel that way.

Hantu III: Do u know what Azmin promised Ansari in the presence of Anwar?

Me: Nope.

Hantu III: He told the audience that should Ansari be elected, he would be a candidate in GE13!

This time I reacted and broke one of the cardinal rules in anger management: failing to empathize, failing to see things from the perspective of the other person.

Me: U talking cock!

Hantu III: F O then.

End of chat…..both angry with each other.

From the start I was hoping that this PKR election will avoid rumor mongering, back stabbing, defaming and maligning.

Did Azmin make that promise?

Who is he to make that promise?

That is pompously usurping the rightful authority.

Dr Molly Cheah should book him!

However, I forgot to ask Hantu III if he was at the gathering in Tuaran.

So, we now depend on anyone in Tuaran to verify Hantu III’s allegation.

Anyone?

AM I AN ENEMY NOW?

YES. Am I also now an enemy because I root for Zaid? Even if labeled such it is of no consequence. But to label Zaid as traitor and enemy is reminiscent of UMNO’s style of branding its opponents. This is inSTINKtively UMNO modus operandi.

Will the 400,000 PKR members remember who the real enemies are? Two PKR MPs initiated the move in Selangor to have aduns and aides investigated. Unfortunately

an aide ended dead. Fortunately one MP has leap-frogged out of PKR whilst the other is seeking ascension into the PKR hierarchy!

SO I ASK AGAIN. DOES PKR WANT LEADERS OR RINGLEADERS?

I say PKR needs a leader like Zaid Ibrahim.

Another leader said the same thing. She is none other than Puteri Reformasi, Nurul Izzah.

“PKR is the party of the future,” Nurul said, pointing out that the party did not want “wolves in sheepskins”.

'We need Zaid' she said in Kuching last night. HERE

At a press conference before returning to Kuala Lumpur this morning, Nurul indicated her support for party leader Zaid Ibrahim who is set to face vice-president Azmin Ali for the deputy's post.

“In my speech I was referring to some narrow-minded politicians at national level, who talked about the interests of certain racial groups only,” she said.

Who the PKR members choose as their Deputy President will decide on how the journey into Putrajaya will unfold. PKR cannot afford to back a narrow minded politician. It may even cause the breakup of the coalition.

Possible probability or probable possibility?

I may not have Zaid's ears but I would like to caution that he not burn any bridges. Zaid is aspiring onto an important position. He needs to stress more on the strengths, past, current and future, rather than weaknesses of PKR. When one works on the strengths, it invariably cancels off some of its weaknesses. Focus on your strength and the strength you can bring to strengthen PKR. Leave the weaknesses to detractors.

Think deep about this whilst I get ready to go celebrate Malaysia’s 47th birthday and Anak Bangsa Malaysia’s 1st birthday at Rumah Anak Bangsa Malaysia.
