PERKOSA SECURES SECOND-CHOICE CHAMPION.

BUT MY FRIEND

KEE TUAN CHYE
ASKS:

DOES PERKASA
GET THE HINT?

The Sultan of Selangor has done the right thing in withdrawing from his earlier agreement to open the inaugural general meeting of Pertubuhan Peribumi Perkasa Negara (Perkasa) on March 27. Although the reason given is that the Sultan does not want to be seen to be supporting a politician, namely, Ibrahim Ali, who heads the NGO, the more important implication is that right-wing organisations, even though they are championing Malay rights, have to be “tolerant and respect other races” and operate within existing laws.

Such a message is timely, especially since the country seems more divided than ever along racial lines. After the 2008 general election, Umno and certain individuals have been playing on racial sentiments to win back the Malays who had voted against the party, by warning them that the race is under threat. This has provided the impetus for organisations like Perkasa to garner support and step up right-wing activism.

If Ibrahim Ali is to be believed, Perkasa is attracting new members every day. He expects a gathering of 10,000 at the March 27 general meeting, which is pretty phenomenal for an organisation that is only one and a half years old. He has since gone on to form the Majlis Perunding NGO Melayu, a consultative council comprising 80 or so NGOs pledging to defend Malay rights, the institution of the Malay rulers and Islam.

Logically speaking, there seems no need to defend any of these because no one is foolhardy enough to fight them. The special position of the Malays is well protected, the Malay rulers are on a strong wicket, and Islam is firmly entrenched as the main religion of the country. The administration of this country, backed by the military and other institutions, is committed to ensuring that they will be upheld. Who would be bold or strong enough to go against that?

This is, however, not logical enough for Perkasa and its comrades. The Majlis Perunding NGO Melayu has asked to meet with Prime Minister Najib Razak before he announces his New Economic Model, which is expected to be soon. Ibrahim Ali, who is also their spokesman, has made it clear that “we want any policy made by the Government to get support from all quarters”. He also said that “if the Government wants the support of NGOs, (it) should also give due consideration to our views and feelings”.

This stance taken by Ibrahim and the council of NGOs reflects what the Jews would call chutzpah. They are thus encouraged probably because the Government has been taking a tolerant attitude towards them. Some political observers feel that the Government is actually making use of these right-wingers to articulate what the Government itself can’t, without contradicting its outward advocacy for 1Malaysia. Perkasa and its ilk serve the purpose of uniting those Malays who feel they are under threat, which Umno welcomes, while Najib goes about wooing the non-Malays with his multi-racial sloganeering.

Meanwhile, yet another right-wing group has emerged. Calling itself the Organisation of Former Umno Elected Representatives, it purports to champion Malay interests in the fields of economics, education, religion and language. That seems to somewhat duplicate the agenda of Perkasa and the Majlis Perunding NGO Melayu but it doesn’t seem to matter to its members. Perhaps they feel that by dint of their being former Umno representatives, they may be better received and considered more influential.

The trend, on the whole, is rather disturbing. The rise of the right wing could further widen the communication and harmony gap between the different races. It’s already giving the impression that a section of the Malays are getting agitated. The sad thing is, they’re getting agitated for the wrong reasons. Their enemy is not the non-Malays, but the right-wing leaders would have them believe this is so. And this is being abetted by the mainstream media.

Khalid Samad, the PAS MP for Shah Alam, recently said that Perkasa is “not a problem”. He asserted that “they don’t have much influence in society”. One hopes he is right. If the right-wing elements within Umno itself should be empowered by this growing development, the consequences might be dire. An Umno controlled by right-wingers is not a pretty prospect. Imagine a Malaysia regressing into becoming an ethnocentric culture when the signs of progress are pointing in the opposite direction. We will all lose out.

One of the messages conveyed by the Sultan of Selangor’s private secretary, Lela Bakti Mohamad Munir Bani, when announcing His Highness’s decision to not officiate at Perkasa’s meeting, contains much-needed advice: “Perkasa should be tolerant and respect other races in Malaysia, live in harmony and work together to develop the country.” There’s nothing equivocal in that message. If Perkasa still doesn’t get the hint, those who support it deserve what they get.

MY TURN TO
ASK:

WHITHER APCO?

WHO'S BREWING THESE

TOXIC BREW?

AND WHAT ABOUT THIS FROM DATUK SAK

The speed by which Perkasa has taken leadership on the issue of Malay economics over sleepy UMNO, can only suggest that UMNO people have not been thinking about economics. Instead they are easily sidetracked into nonsensical things such as making police reports about Anwar using the name of Agong and all that. That's not going to save UMNO if Malay economy is kaput. Forget Anwar. Ibrahim Ali is mowing down your legitimacy.

SQUEAL, MORE SQUEALS, UNLESS SWILL IS OFFRED.

“You mean you did not hear of this? You should ask Anwar about what he promised Kit Siang and Hadi? He must have promised them something,” Zahrain queried a reporter.

In an immediate reaction, DAP’s Parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang denied ever being offered the DPM post if Pakatan Rakyat captured Putrajaya.

“Anwar has never offered any post to me,” the Ipoh Timur MP told The Malaysian Insider.

“You think they (DAP & PAS) would support him for nothing? You mean they are going to say — ok, ok, we support you as prime minister but we do not want anything. Come on,” he said. (LIKE LGE DISALLOWING THAT RM2 COMPANY TO TAKE OVER BUKIT JAMBU GOLF CLUB….COME ON.)
(Parenthesis in CAPS mine)

“In any case, how can you have a prime minister who is merely a popularity seeker, who only knows how to make promises and who cannot deliver?” he said. (I REMEMBER FIVE STATES WERE DELIVERED TO PAKATAN RAKYAT BUT ONE GOT SOLD BY THREE RENEGADE FROG OF SIMILAR SHADE.)
“PAS wants hudud law. You think DAP will stand for that?” (COME ON ZOMBIE….WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING. PAS HAS GIVEN UP THIS LONG AGO. A TWO-THIRD MAJORITY IS NEEDED DUMBO. YOU MEAN YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT HUDUD IS NON-EXISTANT IN KELANTAN? COME ON!)
This particular four-legged squeal when deprived of swill and also squeal in a feeding frenzy of its staple swill. Go figure out this hoofed specie.  Come on, positively not the Police Inspector General!

FOR FISHA

KUDOS TO 2 GREAT SIDES.

Was a wondrous night of good football. I had as my companion the irrepressible Admiral, a kamikaze Liverpool adherent. We had our Davidoff and a litre ot that saintly stuff.  i went into the rival's lair, Backyard being a Liverpool sanctum. Bossman, former student,  Gerry Chong reserved the bar section for his Liverpool rooters and gave the dining area to us MU maniacs, but the Admiral sat with me in enemy territory.  My point is this, the Admiral and I may be on rivals camps but we respect and  trust each other.  This is so unlike what I was directed to read HERE. You see,  I choose who I want to drink with.....even the opposition....primarily because they are DECENT!

Damn, I lost the bet to RPK. He says 2-1 and I 3-1. Pete, the Macallan will be either hand-carried or DHLed to you.

Dang, time for some shut-eye yah?

BE MY PARTNER.....URRGGHHHH

(Bernama) - Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak today invited the local media to be his partner in his journey to transform Malaysia into a more prosperous and peaceful country.

APCO not doing a good job?

He said the government needed the media to communicate with the people and educate them throughout the country.

Educate by spinning?

"I would like you to be my partner in my journey to transform the country," he said at the inaugural National Press Club-Naza Awards Night here today.

Transform the country that has been deformed by corruption, nepotism and cronyism?

Najib said mainstream media organisations obviously had a higher standard of accountability and were more mindful of what they reported, being aware of their standing as respected media establishments.
"I, for one, believe that the Malaysian media is something that we can all be proud of," he said.

This picture appeared in blogs. Notice Barisan Nasional logo on umbrella of the apprehended BN supporter.
.......and presto, it disappeared in Utusan

Miraculous! If miracles like this can happen you have the right partner, sir.

"I believe the world media can take some lessons from our Malaysian media, who don't shovel into the private lives of individuals, generally speaking, or launch... personal vendetta.
Sir, you have just spoiled my Saturday happy hours. I nearly puked out my pig in blanket at Sid's.

"I believe that if we are at peace with ourselves today, it is because the Malaysian media has tempered its coverage of sensitive issues with a huge dose of social responsibility," he said.

Yes, China Press cannot, Utusan has free rein. You near friggin spoilt my Saturday......but luckily it will be redeemed in an hours time at Lilian and Bill's.

Forget it sir, I will choose my own partners, if it is OK with you!

LOST A GOLF CLUB BUT GAINED TWO 'SCHOLARSHIPS'.

ZAHRAIN is having his day washing dirty linen in Parliament. He revealed the following as those who were to cross the floor on 16 September 2008. These were Abdul Ghapur Salleh (BN-Kalabakan), foreign minister Anifah Aman (BN-Kimanis), Bung Mukhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan), Chua Soon Bui (Independent-Tawau), Enchin Majimbun (Independent-Sepangar), Tengku Azlan Sultan Abu Bakar (BN-Jerantut) and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (BN-Gua Musang) and  Batu Pahat MP Puad Zarkashi the deputy education minister. TRH firmly denied being in the equation whilst Puad says he was saved by divine intervention.

He told Umno-linked daily Utusan Malaysia that he performed a special prayer called istikharah and subsequently the answer was given to him in a "dream".

"In my dream, god told me that if I signed a letter in support of Anwar as the prime minister, it would mean that I have sold the country," said Puad

He added that god provided him with the strength to refuse the invitation by the PKR de facto leader to topple the ruling coalition.

Lucky a god-chosen one.

Sleep came easy for Puad until his Dad took a course in creative speech.

DANG, I am rendered speechless so here are some pictorial thoughts for you to piece together in this jigsaw:

Yes, we can make your dreams come true except that one about monthly leads leaks.

YOU DON'T KNOW?

A VISITOR TO MY BLOG ASKED:

DO YOU KNOW???

Before MUSA HASSAN became the IGP, his superior was then BAKRI OMAR who was dubbed the SUPER CLEAN COP due to his will to fight CORRUPTIONS & getting RID of those from the 'Underground Networks". During BAKRI's tenure as IGP, he even went to the extent of capturing 1 of the 4 so-called UNDERGROUND HEAVENLY KINGS (Pai Kah Lek). This arrest resulted to other 3 so-called HEAVENLY KINGS to flee the country with fear. BAKRI gained a reputation as a CLEAN COP who serves with NO FAVOUR or FEAR.

MUSA HASSAN who was then the DEPUTY IGP was extremely restless & anxious to sit on BAKRI's throne. MUSA HASSAN knew that if his superior (BAKRI) were to continue performing in such a way, MUSA HASSAN would have to wait for another 10 years or so before even being able to smell the post of IGP. MUSA HASSAN simply couldn't wait & thus, he set-up a vicious plan to have BAKRI dropped as the IGP.

MUSA HASSAN laid out a plan to get BAKRI doomed by making use of BAKRI's eldest son as the BAIT . MUSA HASSAN instructed his konco-konco to get in contact with BAKRI's son & they cunningly offered BAKRI's son some F.O.C. Ramadhan Bazaar lots way back in 2005.

BAKRI's son who was then a young & naive guy accepted the offer without even thinking of its' hidden motive. The condition for this offer was that BAKRI's son MUST NEVER allow his dad to know about it. BAKRI's son was later brain washed by MUSA HASSAN's men to sell these FREE Ramadhan Bazaar lots to traders at a ROCKET HIGH price. It was a MOUSE TRAP!!! Potential buyers for these ROCKET HIGH PRICE lots had been pre-arranged by MUSA HASSAN's men.

Thus, an appointment to view the lots was carried out & these pre-planned buyers agreed to buy the lots (even at such crazily high price). However, immediately when transaction was conducted (in CASH, of course), ACA (now MACC) then moved in & apprehended BAKRI's son red handedly. It was a well planned strategy to get BAKRI's son into trouble with allegations of CORRUPTIONS (something the father was fighting strongly against).

When BAKRI's son was caught by the ACA, MUSA HASSAN's dream of becoming the next IGP was almost certain. MUSA HASSAN made a shame out of his superior without his superior even knowing it. Hence, BAKRI had no choice but to step down as the IGP because his own son committed CORRUPTION red handedly (something he promised to get rid of). If BAKRI were to stay on as IGP, it would only bring more shame & humility to the entire Police Force.

Shortly after this case was exposed by the Media, BAKRI stepped down & MUSA HASSAN took over as the IGP. The case of BAKRI's son involvement in the Ramadhan Bazaar lots went into MIA. We haven't heard about this case since then. Perhaps, it could be a closed door deal between MUSA HASSAN & BAKRI for allowing this case to go to TIMBUKTU. It's a typical case of..."If you step down, I take over & I settle this case for you".

BAKRI ignorantly became a VICTIM of MUSA HASSAN's evil plan, while BAKRI's son was used as the BAIT. Even the recently acquitted Dato' RAMLY YUSUF was a poor VICTIM of MUSA HASSAN.

Can you see how sly, cunning & cruel this wanker name MUSA HASSAN could be? He's ever willing to DOOM his friends, colleagues & superiors simply for the objective of becoming the IGP. It's unfortunate he got to become the IGP but we should rejoice as he's going to be SACKED as the IGP.

Now...MUSA HASSAN, it's JUDGEMENT DAY & it's PAY BACK time.

ANOTHER ADDED:
Bernard, this is the message from my  'deep throat' in Bukit Aman:
Heard something similar when Bakri was retiring. That's why Bakri remarked to close circles that Musa Hassan (MH) shed crocodile tears when the papers frontpaged MH hugging and crying at Bakri's farewell. Since then Bakri has nothing kind to say about MH. I had dinner with another former IGP Norian Mai last night. Norian related how MH's phantom poison pen letters were found in MH's desktop computer when MH was promoted to be CPO Johor after DSAI's case while Ramli was exiled to Sabah. At that time MH and Bakri were best buddies to bring down Norian. So to a certain extent what happened to Bakri was retribution for Bakri's and MH's plotting vs Norian. So Bakri then handpicked MH to be DIGP which he openly told friends that he very much regretted that. What is happening to MH is retribution for what he did to Bakri and the cycle of budaya mencantas continues.
