SITTING ON A PILE OF DURIANS?

Zorro breaks his promise about blogging on things positive this week....but national interest prompts this post:

Yes it is 3.53am 17 January but the only way to get Hantu off my back is to blog about the story he threw into my face. I told him I was not going to write about the RCI because I was not there. He shot back at me: "I was there". I could not argue with that because Hantu has been hovering invisible (remember he is a hantu) and incognito throughout the sessions. "His body language was awful but telling." "Whose body language?" I asked. "That Tan Sri Haidar, who else." "And what has body language of the Head of the RCI got to do with the procedings?" I asked sleepily. That's when Hantu unraveled the day's episode. It started when ex-Bukit Bintang MP and lawyer Wee Choo Keong asked ACA Chuah if she questioned Lingam's brother Karasu in her investigation. That was when an agitated Haidar displayed his poor body language and asked Wee what was so important about his question. He was fidgety and was intensely tense, his body language revealed. Body Language experts say that when you fidget, your non-verbal language is declaring silently: I want to find something better to do; or I don't like what is happening; or We are sinking into deeper waters; or "Shit.....trouble is brewing." Experts interpret that when a person shows signs of being tense, the message loudly says: I am not comfortable with this....."

Wee pointed that as early as 5 March, 1998 his client Karasu was questioned by the ACA and again on 12 March, after which he was detained for 5 days and released on 17 March 1998. Evidently ACA Chuah was not aware of this. Wee then pointed out that late last year his client had made another police report detailing intimate knowledge of his brother's dealings with former Chief Justice Eusof Chin. As such Wee was offering his client as a witness to the Royal Commission. This is when the head of the RCIgave the impression to the packed room that he was sitting on a pile of durian! I remember reading this in the Sun:
RCI chairman Tan Sri Haidar Mohamed Nor told theSun today it is good that people are willing to come forward and offer their help in the case.

But this did not seem to be the case yesterday during the hearing. He appeared to prevent Karasu from being a witness. After some whispering from Shanker, Haidar granted Wee leave to represent Karasu during the proceedings but Karasu's appearance as a witness is still in question.

It is terribly perplexing that here is somebody offering himself as a witness and yet a subpoena is not forthcoming. To me this is a shifty shift. The intent of this Royal Commission, commissioned by the King, is to clean up once and for all the mess the judiciary is embroiled in and it looks like roadblocks are put up to prevent the march to justice(pun intended, definitely). Isnt the RCI out to get the truth? As such Karasu should be subpoened as a witness. As a layman I ask why is the commission so reluctant to subpoena Lingam's brother as a witness? What is the head of the RCI afraid of? Are there things still closeted?

I am not being mischievous, but I too want this whole judiciary mess overhauled and running unhindered again....for the future generation that is. I produce here what happened during the Tun Salleh Abas affair over a hidden seal:

The Supreme Court Judges [Wan Suleiman, George Edward Seah, Azmi Kamaruddin, Eusoffe Abdoolcader and Wan Hamzah] who held the sitting were suspended on 6 July 1988. In their press statement made on the same day of their suspension, they said the following: -

“We would add that when we sought to sit in court, we were informed by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Haidar bin Mohd Noor, that instructions have been given by Tan Sri Abdul Hamid bin Haji Omar, the Acting Lord President, that none of the court staff should be present in court and the court doors should not be opened and we should not have the use of the facilities of the court including the Seal of the Supreme Court. In those circumstances, it even became necessary for Tan Sri Wan Suleiman himself as the presiding judge to sign the order which we made which in fact should have been the duty of the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court.”

You tell me, isn't this exasperating? This RCI job is of national interest and transparency should be the order of the day! Intriguing? "looks like it, sounds like it"....CORRECT, CORRECT, CORRECT? The common man rest their case, your Honor.

dang! too early for a single malt....coffee at 5.31am will do....thick and black...no sugar please.

HINDRAF DID IT! SYABAS,SYABAS,SYABAS!

HANTU RESTING BUT EVER ALERT

People....remember Hantu, my trusted courier of good news, bad news and in-between news. Since Parliament is in recess he has been assigned to Camp Kamunting, suburbia of Taiping and hometown of Shanghai Fish and truthfully yours.

Lets begin with the IN-BETWEEN NEWS: It is not known when Pak Lah our PM will make this announcement about......

The BAD NEWS is that Sam de Velu, the avowed Champion of the Indians (but not necessarily of Hindraf) will not make the announcement about.......

The GOOD NEWS.....Hindraf has subtly hinted to Hantu that THAIPUSAM WILL BE DECLARED A NATIONAL HOLIDAY before 23rd January.

SYABAS, SYABAS, SYABAS.....NEVER WAS SO MUCH DONE BY SO FEW FOR SO MANY!

Zorro and Hantu rejoice with my Hindu brothers and sisters and this popular Kavadi song is fondly dedicated to the Kamunting Boys.

WE ARE MALAYSIANS (Thank you Steven)

I told myself that this coming week is gonna be a good week.....nothing negative will happen in our country. Everybody will do their bit to make this country more livable, more lovable and that those 2 guys will come back to Malaysia from Spain with the Lingam tapes intact. International potographer Steven Lee, who took and featured my profile foto in his recently published book "Malaysians", now currently based in London sent me this YouTube and I thought it most appropriate to start off this week.....but one warning to the moral police in case they are lurking: keep off and fuck off our turf.....WE ARE MALAYSIANS HUGGING MALAYSIANS.

OLE, OLE

OLE, OLE. That's Spanish I'll have you know. Nothing to do with old England as in 'ole days.....more like our BOLEH. So what is the sudden special interest in Spain? Simply because Malaysia is now looking towards Spain for an answer to the mother of all questions: Is the Lingam tapes authentic? I thought the three men panel gave the stamp of authenticity ? Now we have the Royal Commission commissioning Spain to help us. Even the daily UMNO newsletter grudgingly asked why of all place Spain. The RC has sent two guys to make sure that the tapes are not lost in translation.....ooopppps ....lost in transition! I know that Spain is famous for their gourmet bull's scrotum that comes in only two sizes....depending on who wins in the bull fights.

Did the threesome who did the initial investigation ask Lingam if he was the one on the video. If he answered affirmative, why are we sending the tapes to Spain?

Remember my friend Bob who said that it is safer to be a Buddhist monk in Burma than to be a whistle-blower in Malaysia! He was mad as mad can be when we discussed this over 'that" last night. In exasperation he said it was better to send the tapes to Disneyland....show it to Mickey Mouse, Pluto and Snow White.....at least if it is not authentic, the two guys can sell the tapes to Disney and make the trip worthwhile.

PEOPLE, DO YOU ALL SMELL A RAT....FROM WHERE YOU ARE?

PEOPLE OF MALAYSIA
GET READY
TO
BE
GORED
WHILST
THE
WHOLE
WORLD
WATCH.
THIS SURE GONNA BE A FIELD DAY FOR DRAMA SCRIPT WRITERS....GO GUYS....GO AT IT.

MUSA, MOBILISE YOUR FORCE....OR GET THE FCUK OUT OF OUR FACE.

Yesterday's connectivity was the pits....from home to PJClub and finally to a StarBucks outlet and there was not time to surf blogosphere. And this morning we have 50,000 posters announcing the abduction of another little girl, NINI.
The bitter taste have not left us because Nurin's killer is still at large, lurking, leering and jeering at our Royal Police Force (has it occurred to anyone that it is about time the word "Royal" should be expunged. Downright insult to all our ex-Kings and our current King, if you ask me!).
Of course we Malaysian will do our best to help bring Nini back to her family. Is putting up posters sufficient? I say M O B I L I S E your whole force MUSA. Tell your guys for the next few days stop lurking in hidden areas to catch traffic offenders, or spend hours at mamak joints for free lunch, etc......get all your squad cars on the road, your four-wheelers into the off-road tracks....yes even your black-maria trucks.....get everyone of your elite Special Branch on the job.....even your helicopters......yes tell Othman Talib of Web Power to let you use the30 helicopters as goodwill otherwise no dice re the conflict-of-interest sale. Get your officers off their butt.....those spending hours questioning those who donated to Hindraf Enterprise.
And don't forget, the water canon and tear-gas troops, the Blues that is.....this is the test of their mettle. It is child's play banging on their plastic shields and shooting from a distance. Get them to do a man's job for a change or they will turn sybaritic. What was it that Churchill said....never has so many done so little......blehhhhhh.***

*** one exception though....do not include the Police Band...we need them for the celebration when Nini is returned to us.

Tell us thru the MSM what you will be doing.....never mind if they exaggerate a bit.....if it is just to get Nini home safe. Tell us your action-plans and be quick about this.....the clock ticks and we want to make sure that Nini's heart continues to tick.

Maybe these are not under your command....but use your powerful influence....get those RELA dickheads to do some work instead of bullying migrant workers. Most of the time these RELAx. Anyone believe me when I volunteer that the quality of your people reflects the quality of your organisation? Well that is another story for another day.

Mus, I know it is tougher to go after an unseen abductor than sitting-duck -marchers, but you got to try, buddy. May the Force be with you....

meanwhile

we

wait

anxiously

and

with

a

prayer

for

her

safe

return.

Don't

give

the

abductor

the

opportunity

that

Nurin's

killer

is

saying

to

your

POLICE FORCE,

this....

shucks, bit too early for a single.....but lets see how things develop....maybe we have a celebration if there are some breaking news.....Musa.....I love to celebrate, I'd like you to know.....but with performers.

HOGWASH IT IS AND NOTHING MORE, NOTHING NEW!

"GET RID OF THE SHIT....BEFORE IT HITS THE FAN BEFORE MARCH" ordered an infuriated Prime Minister.

Did the PM really said that? He would have, but the spin-masters, fully aware of the frail sensibilities of Malaysians and hoping to sustain the feel-good ambience they have concoted printed this: "The frank and forthright manner in which Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi raised the issue of the rising crime rate has won the praise of Malaysians. The Prime Minister also struck the right note in proposing measures to improve crime prevention" reported the NST (Lee Shi-ian and Regina Lee....I know you did not write that, although you compiled the story.....no I am not asking for apologies for not mentioning your by-line).

The PM got a report from Bukit Aman and he became agitated and volunteered measures.....like a more visible police presence.....CCTVs in high-density areas......district police chiefs to hold regular meetings with residents.....etc...etc....etc....(some other miracle proposals that we are quite tired of hearing). And what has Lee Lam Tai
vice-president, Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) and former member of the Royal Commission on the Police Force has to say:

'Quite a number of these measures have been proposed before, but it’s better late than never. We hope that these measures are implemented as soon as possible.'

And what has Bakri Musa to add:

'To me the greatest threat to national security is not those sexual scandals that were exposed rather those that are still secret. They would then be a much more formidable weapon.'

But nobody admonishes as well as Citizen Nades:

Wastage of public funds and breaking the law are as bad as being caught in bed with a woman other than your wife.

What about the Selangor Economic Development Corporation (PKNS) which admitted in open court that it cut hills and destroyed greenery with impunity? It paid a fine of RM330,000 but what about the directors and the general manager?

They are all sitting on their high horses pretending that nothing had ever happened. Its chairman, despite all the complaints and the rebuke by the Prime Minister, had the audacity to tell Malaysians: “Semuanya Ok!”

What about Datuk Zakaria Md Deros? Let’s not fault the Datin for applying for the land to build the palace in Port Klang. Anyone can apply for state land, but what about the members of the State Executive Council who approved the alienation of the land way below market prices?

What about the president of the Klang Municipal Council who did nothing as the structure came up without approval? Did anyone have any honour or morals or for that matter, decency, to stand up and say: Yes, I erred. I apologise and I resign?

No. They all played the game of passing the buck, which has become the national pastime of our politicians. To them, it is not their fault but someone else’s fault.

What about Zakaria himself? His answer: The people still support me. How did he come to that conclusion? Did he enlist the services of Gallup or AC Nielsen? No. He happens to be the uncrowned king of Klang and he’s untouchable as far as Mr Semuanya Ok is concerned. No shame. No morals, no ethics. Period.

Going by Chua’s standards, the General Manager of the Port Klang Authority would have been an ex-civil servant six months ago.

From Day One, the plan to build a free trade zone a’la Jebel Ali in Dubai was a disaster. Even the purchase of the land was nothing less than scandalous. Today, Malaysian taxpayers have to pay for the cost of the inefficiency, lack of foresight and the manner in which contracts were entered into. It’s not small change or rojak money as one former finance minister described his foray into the stock market. We are talking big bucks – RM4.6 billion and yet, no one has come forward to explain, let alone take responsibility for this colossal loss and do the most honourable thing. Instead, they are all running helter-skelter looking for spin doctors to do damage control.

Similarly, those responsible for the diversion of Telekom
Malaysia shares meant for Maika Holdings to private companies are still around, pretending nothing has happened. One is happily domiciled in Australia, popping into Malaysia on and off. At least two others are sitting in Parliament and another is a municipal councillor. But where’s their conscience and can they sleep soundly? No one talked about resignation, no one talked about accountability. They will continue to rule the roost while the rakyat – some clueless and apathetic – continue to suffer.

Now just listen to what these apple-polishers have to say over the PM's remarks:

Datuk Amir Sulaiman, Former Police Management Director: The Prime Minister was right to release the crime index as it shows that the government is indeed being transparent. The figures merely indicate that we all have to work together to tackle the problem.

Abdul Latif Mohd Som, Chairman, Penang Taman Tun Dr Ismail Residents Association: The Prime Minister was right in giving the bare facts. It is time for the public to discard the 'tidak apa' attitude and join the police in fighting crime.

Deputy IGP, Datuk Ismail Omar: If the relationship between the public and the police is strained or estranged, then a vital source of information to solve crimes is lost...."

HEY PEOPLE, THEY ARE NOW BLAMING US FOR NOT CO-OPERATING AND THAT IS WHY CRIME IS ON THE UPTREND.....SOUNDS FAMILIAR....THE BUCK DOES NOT STOP THERE.....IT IS THROWN BACK AT YOU PEOPLE. YOU UNGRATEFUL MALAYSIANS.

OK IF YOU A-SMOOCHES WANT TO KNOW THE REASON WHY WE THINK 40 TIMES BEFORE WE COOPERATE WITH YOU.....IT IS BECAUSE WE DO NOT TRUST THE POLICE. IMPLEMENT THE IPCMC. AND FOR GOOD MEASURE GO AFTER THE ABOVE CASES HIGHLIGHTED BY NADES, THEN MAYBE WE MAY TRUST YOU........AND HOW ABOUT INVESTIGATING THE MOLEST CASE BROUGHT AGAINST THE 70 YEAR OLD UNCLE OF MB OF SELANGOR BY A 45 YEAR OLD LADY IN TG KARANG. LOST THE REPORT? I CAN MAKE A COPY FOR YOU. AND WHAT IS THE LATEST ABOUT NURIN'S MURDER? DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING AFTER US WITH YOUR WATER CANONS WHEN WE WALK IN PEACE FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE. USE YOUR WATER CANNONS AND TEAR GAS TO FLUSH OUT THE IKAN (scavenger fish) BEDUKANG SWIMMING SO FREELY IN OUR "POLLUTED" WATERS. ABOVE ALL PROVE TO US THAT YOU DESERVE OUR COOPERATION.

Dang it....why am I getting stressed over this ......time for a MALT....Loy, make it a double and no water please.

OF PARENTING, ONE ASIA AND THE ISA.

pic courtesy of Mob

KEPALA BATAS, MON:

Parents have been advised not to “privatise” the duty of raising their children to third parties as the move will result in lack of attention and the kids easily falling prey to social ills.

As such the BN government should spend the hidden Petronas money to build, equip creches and pay certified minders for our children and grand-children.....instead of bailing out cronies and failed government projects. If you cant do that....then shut up....just take care of social ills like your adopted machais, the Mat Rempits. You are in no position to give advice to parents as you are not a fully certified parent YET. We will be monitoring how Gabby behaves.(HIGHLIGHTS MINE)

In giving the advice, Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin said there were parents who totally surrendered the responsibility of caring and upbringing their children to others such as school and tuition teachers.

That is the responsibility of the school and its teachers....total responsibility for our charges. The kids spend 8 hours of their waking lives with us and at most 3 hours with their parents each day. We have to be responsible. Are you subtly intimating that your parents "totally surrendered" you. Come on, your dad was a diplomat and he represented king and country....he cannot be distracted. Did you "grow up" in a malaysian school? If you have not, you do not qualify to give advice to parents. Go advice the Mat Rempits.....there has been no change in their rampages.

“Some parents simply wash their hands off their responsibilities to their children. They leave the duty entirely to others,” he told reporters after launching the “Happy Family Cheerful Society” programme hosted by the Yayasan Budi Penyayang here today.

That is a motherhood statement....some parents....name them for sake of veracity. Young man, you are talking cock! I was quite impressed with you when you just returned and was hosting a tv show.......people, with age, mature for the better.....but let me register my utter disappointment. Is it the company you keep that changed you? Never too late to associate yourself with the young parents who struggle to put food on the table and do their utmost best at parenting. Which right-minded parent would not want to have their kids with them most of the time.

Khairy represented his wife, Nori Abdullah, who is Yayasan Budi Penyayang chairman.

On extra charges imposed by schools and parent-teacher associations, Khairy said parents should not totally rely on the government for their children’s education.

That's cockamamie bullshit again. Easy for somebody who had everything on a silver platter courtesy of hardworking tax-payers contribution.....mine included.....and overseas too. You lucky blighter. Did you get an Ox scholarship too?

“The government has done a lot for education (in this country). Can’t they afford to contribute a sum to the school to help the parent-teacher associations?” he asked.

We dont care how much the government has done for education. They have not done much in the context of QUALITY EDUCATION.....how many hundred thousand graduates unemployed? If you have an atom of care in your soul, I challenge you get your "protector" to use some hidden funds to subsidize schools and the PTA.

However, I get a sense that your mumblings about parenting resulted from your over-exposure to how kids were brought up in the countries you grew up in in your formative years. They always count......Do these pics ring a bell?

The Malay Mail reported Khir Toyo as saying...."ASIAN YOUTHS are capable of achieving the mission of creating "ONE ASIA", He further rambled: "....One Asia to unite all Asian countries into one family grouping, turning the continent into one of the world's major powers." This sounds like a madman's rabid dream. By the way, he is the president of the Asian Youth Council. Anyone heard about this group? I haven't. Jeepers, he is President and he is also our MB who cannot (ow will I also volunteer " will not") bring down the owner of the stolen mansion .

Our Malaysian youths are so rabidly polarised and you have ambitions of a One Asia. One holy book dis say: "Physician, heal thyself". Now this is a real life situation.....it happened on the first day of school for Little Mohd. Iz, who lives on the floor above me and whose grandparents and his uncle blogger Kerp, live beside me. His father and grand-dad took him to his first day in school. He was talking animatedly to Nimmi, who lives in another block. Out of nowhere, a seven year old boy, pushed Iz and said. "kamu, budak melayu, kenapa cakap Bahasa Inggris?" No where the hell did this seven year old get to speak and likewise think like this. In class, this seven year old boy sat behnd Iz and was endlessly provoking him. This ManU fan, lost his temper and swung back at the kid. IZ dad and grandfather witnessed all this. He went into class and got Iz and they left the school. Iz parents discussed this for a while and they came down late in the night to announce to Shah, the grandfather that they have both made up their minds....they were taking Iz out of that school and registering him in a private school. Now there is not only polarization amongst young malaysian of different ethnic origin......here we have polarization creeping into the Malay race.....and all over language. I am just wondering how that 7 year old kid was programmed by his parents. Think about this En. Khir. There is a lot of work lined up for you if you remain as Menteri Besar.

(Apologies: pic of Menteri Besar just went pooffffed when editing......prophetic?)

The BLOGGING FRATERNITY had better be careful of this man. I read this posting in MalaysiaUnplugged. By the way, he has morphed into a naturalised Malay and is Cheras UMNO Numero Uno:

Datuk Syed Ali Al-Habshee said,

"Subversives and radicals should not be given opportunities to voice out their ideas and views because they pose a threat to the country's peace and stability.

We want the government to take stern action, if there is a need to use the ISA (Internal Security Act), then so be it. "

In case many of you don't know, 'Syed' means his forefathers came from the land of the Prophet Muhammad.

'Alhabshee', in turn, means his ancestors originally came from
Ethiopia. This probably happened in the days when Islam was expanding and the Muslim army was conquering the areas surrounding the Arabian Peninsular.

Those who resisted the Muslim army and lost the war would either be killed or captured and taken as slaves (while the beautiful women would become your plaything).

So Syed Ali's ancestors were probably Ethiopian prisoners brought back to the Arabian Peninsular as slaves to look after the camels and clean out their shit every morning until the day either they or the camels died.
Dang! This is sapping.....9.24....time for the malt......sans water please.
