OF PARENTING, ONE ASIA AND THE ISA.

pic courtesy of Mob

KEPALA BATAS, MON:

Parents have been advised not to “privatise” the duty of raising their children to third parties as the move will result in lack of attention and the kids easily falling prey to social ills.

As such the BN government should spend the hidden Petronas money to build, equip creches and pay certified minders for our children and grand-children.....instead of bailing out cronies and failed government projects. If you cant do that....then shut up....just take care of social ills like your adopted machais, the Mat Rempits. You are in no position to give advice to parents as you are not a fully certified parent YET. We will be monitoring how Gabby behaves.(HIGHLIGHTS MINE)

In giving the advice, Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin said there were parents who totally surrendered the responsibility of caring and upbringing their children to others such as school and tuition teachers.

That is the responsibility of the school and its teachers....total responsibility for our charges. The kids spend 8 hours of their waking lives with us and at most 3 hours with their parents each day. We have to be responsible. Are you subtly intimating that your parents "totally surrendered" you. Come on, your dad was a diplomat and he represented king and country....he cannot be distracted. Did you "grow up" in a malaysian school? If you have not, you do not qualify to give advice to parents. Go advice the Mat Rempits.....there has been no change in their rampages.

“Some parents simply wash their hands off their responsibilities to their children. They leave the duty entirely to others,” he told reporters after launching the “Happy Family Cheerful Society” programme hosted by the Yayasan Budi Penyayang here today.

That is a motherhood statement....some parents....name them for sake of veracity. Young man, you are talking cock! I was quite impressed with you when you just returned and was hosting a tv show.......people, with age, mature for the better.....but let me register my utter disappointment. Is it the company you keep that changed you? Never too late to associate yourself with the young parents who struggle to put food on the table and do their utmost best at parenting. Which right-minded parent would not want to have their kids with them most of the time.

Khairy represented his wife, Nori Abdullah, who is Yayasan Budi Penyayang chairman.

On extra charges imposed by schools and parent-teacher associations, Khairy said parents should not totally rely on the government for their children’s education.

That's cockamamie bullshit again. Easy for somebody who had everything on a silver platter courtesy of hardworking tax-payers contribution.....mine included.....and overseas too. You lucky blighter. Did you get an Ox scholarship too?

“The government has done a lot for education (in this country). Can’t they afford to contribute a sum to the school to help the parent-teacher associations?” he asked.

We dont care how much the government has done for education. They have not done much in the context of QUALITY EDUCATION.....how many hundred thousand graduates unemployed? If you have an atom of care in your soul, I challenge you get your "protector" to use some hidden funds to subsidize schools and the PTA.

However, I get a sense that your mumblings about parenting resulted from your over-exposure to how kids were brought up in the countries you grew up in in your formative years. They always count......Do these pics ring a bell?

The Malay Mail reported Khir Toyo as saying...."ASIAN YOUTHS are capable of achieving the mission of creating "ONE ASIA", He further rambled: "....One Asia to unite all Asian countries into one family grouping, turning the continent into one of the world's major powers." This sounds like a madman's rabid dream. By the way, he is the president of the Asian Youth Council. Anyone heard about this group? I haven't. Jeepers, he is President and he is also our MB who cannot (ow will I also volunteer " will not") bring down the owner of the stolen mansion .

Our Malaysian youths are so rabidly polarised and you have ambitions of a One Asia. One holy book dis say: "Physician, heal thyself". Now this is a real life situation.....it happened on the first day of school for Little Mohd. Iz, who lives on the floor above me and whose grandparents and his uncle blogger Kerp, live beside me. His father and grand-dad took him to his first day in school. He was talking animatedly to Nimmi, who lives in another block. Out of nowhere, a seven year old boy, pushed Iz and said. "kamu, budak melayu, kenapa cakap Bahasa Inggris?" No where the hell did this seven year old get to speak and likewise think like this. In class, this seven year old boy sat behnd Iz and was endlessly provoking him. This ManU fan, lost his temper and swung back at the kid. IZ dad and grandfather witnessed all this. He went into class and got Iz and they left the school. Iz parents discussed this for a while and they came down late in the night to announce to Shah, the grandfather that they have both made up their minds....they were taking Iz out of that school and registering him in a private school. Now there is not only polarization amongst young malaysian of different ethnic origin......here we have polarization creeping into the Malay race.....and all over language. I am just wondering how that 7 year old kid was programmed by his parents. Think about this En. Khir. There is a lot of work lined up for you if you remain as Menteri Besar.

(Apologies: pic of Menteri Besar just went pooffffed when editing......prophetic?)

The BLOGGING FRATERNITY had better be careful of this man. I read this posting in MalaysiaUnplugged. By the way, he has morphed into a naturalised Malay and is Cheras UMNO Numero Uno:

Datuk Syed Ali Al-Habshee said,

"Subversives and radicals should not be given opportunities to voice out their ideas and views because they pose a threat to the country's peace and stability.

We want the government to take stern action, if there is a need to use the ISA (Internal Security Act), then so be it. "

In case many of you don't know, 'Syed' means his forefathers came from the land of the Prophet Muhammad.

'Alhabshee', in turn, means his ancestors originally came from
Ethiopia. This probably happened in the days when Islam was expanding and the Muslim army was conquering the areas surrounding the Arabian Peninsular.

Those who resisted the Muslim army and lost the war would either be killed or captured and taken as slaves (while the beautiful women would become your plaything).

So Syed Ali's ancestors were probably Ethiopian prisoners brought back to the Arabian Peninsular as slaves to look after the camels and clean out their shit every morning until the day either they or the camels died.
Dang! This is sapping.....9.24....time for the malt......sans water please.

CAN HE REALLY SLEEP...........WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE.....THAT IS IF HE HAS ONE.

Winston Churchill is known for his sarcasm and wit. Churchill commented on human nature, society, and the world in general. His keen sense of observation brings to life seemingly innocuous concepts and events, I have tis feeling that when Churchill uttered those immortal quips he had in mind somebody in this fair land: Consider these:

He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire.

It is no use saying, 'We are doing our best.' You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.

The greatest lesson in life is to know that even fools are right sometimes.

A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.

Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many(read BN) to so few.

I like a man who grins when he fights.

There are a lot of lies going around...

Election Commission chief has reiterated that nationwide polls are "around the corner" despite speculation the government would hold back due to a host of problems.

"When I say the election is around the corner, you better believe me because it is not a joke," Election Commission chairman Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman told the Star daily, echoing comments made in November.

He has all along been a JOKE and realising this himself he is telling us that this time he ain't joking. But it is hard to believe him.....remember he said that he knew when the election was going to be held until he got a broadside from Pak Lah who was rudely awakened by his impertinence? And remember he also swore that only one regime could govern this country....this one we believe him because only HE can mani........what's that word....it escapes me .....somebody complete this for me will ya?

But JOKES aside just scroll down Mr. Election Commandant, and you tell us whether 40,000 Malaysians were joking when they marched, got gassed and got showered! If you think we had a good time, you have a weird and warped sense of humor.

You figure our kids in London were joking with those posters?

You think this was a picnic in the park?

You figure these boys were doing out-of-step line dancing?

You believe they do not know the meaning of Bersih.....you are a joker if you did not get the message.....was aimed at you for your manip.....dang....what's that manipulative word?

You think these pakciks and macik from Trengganu were having toothpaste for breakfast? No joke, they were preparing for the gas-blast stupid!

This one I think is a joke....cops giving one of our boys a free ride......

This one real joke....our yellow submarine has not arrived yet, because our Smart Tunnel was not ready yet, so this is an informal dry run to ensure that the deal is Bersih.....or something like that lah.....I HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I AM NOT JOKING.....because we promised to send one of our boys up to space.

No joke, we want to be reminded all the time that the GE has to be free and fair.

To assure you that we may consider you a joke, but we hope that you will take us seriously this time around. If you can prove that this is not the beginning of fraud.....just take a look at this:

IS THIS YOUR IDEA OF A JOKE, ARE THESE 3 ELIGIBLE TO VOTE....CONSIDERING THEIR AGE NOW?

SO MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN. IF YOU CAN SWEAR THAT YOU WILL BE CLEAN, JUST VIEW THIS YOUTUBE.....BECAUSE WE THE PEOPLE TOO CAN DO WHAT THEY DO IN SARASOTA,USA.

Over 750 people gather in Sarasota's Bayfront Park December 3, 2006 to call for a Revote in the hotly contested District 13 Congressional Race between Vern Buchanan and Christine Jennings.

18,412 votes disappeared in Sarasota County, giving Republican candidate Vern Buchanan the victory with a slim 369 vote margin.

IN THE US OF A, VOTES DISAPPEAR. IN MALAYSIA THEY APPEAR FROM THIN AIR. ANYTHING BOLEH HERE IN BOLEHLAND.

ME BRAVE? NAH! THE BRAVE ARE THE YOUNG MALAYSIANS WHO COME OUT ON THIS SATURDAY NIGHT.

In my previous post I had promised that I would be at Independence Square. My usual walking companion Tony 'McGyver' Yew, Eric 'I am a Malaysian' Voon, Haris of People's Parliament, Old Blue 'Sinister' Eyes Shar101, all had previous engagements that they could not reneged or back out from. I had to do it alone this time, but I was sure I was going to meet up with like-minded others.

At first I intended to park my car at the PJ Club, hop on to the LRT, get down at Masjid Jamek and take a stroll into Independence Square. Haris alerted me that there was heavy police presence. They may not even allow me to cross over to Dataran M. I called an old student Terrence and told him that the only way I could join the people at the vigil was thru the Royal Selangor Club. Terrence picked me up and the normal entrance to RSC was not to be. However I got into the club after having been duly signed in and proceeded to the flag pole. The police did not allow assembly under the Malaysian Flag. What transpired is best depicted in the YouTube at the end of this post.

A commentator FAIR, said that I was a BRAVE man. NO, these are the brave young Malaysians, who have a lot to lose by coming out in the open and on a Saturday Night. Me I have nothing to lose, it was not a big deal braving the Blue Boys.

I met Amin (Black in Korea) and his beautiful companion. Amin and a few friends recently presented the PM with some attarctive bed-time accoutrements. I hope Pak appreciates this gesture.

I also me Anu of Galadriel who was bravely clicking away....but has yet to send me the pics. You OK Anu?

Another brave young Malaysian. Jaya. He sent in the pics below with this note:

Dear Uncle Zorro,

I was happy that finally I have met and shook hand with you. I couldn't find you during the Hindraf Rally as the crowd was big. I have attached the pic taken with you together with the pic of me and friends from Klang. Hope to see you again another time.

Regards,

Jaya

Jaya and me

THE KLANGITES

And then there was Nanda, young engineer activists.....and finally a young lady from MAWI, Chi Too who sent me this YouTube. This video is fondly dedicated to the people who care for our ISA detainee BUT ESPECIALLY TO THE YOUNG BRAVE MALAYSIANS:

4 DAYS INTO 2008 AND WE HAVE TWO KNOCK-DOWNS..

POLICE SAYS NO TO DATARAN MERKEDA CANDLELIGHT VIGIL ON 5 JANUARY.

No permit is given but the organisers are adamant that it will go on: Syed Jamal Zahiid of Malaysiakini has the story:

The police have rejected the application for a permit to hold a candlelight vigil at Dataran Merdeka on Saturday, said organiser Abolish ISA Movement (GMI) today.

However, GMI has vowed to proceed with their the event despite that it would be declared as an illegal gathering by the police.

GMI chairperson Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh said that they have “given the government a chance” to allow them to exercise their constitutional rights but have again been frustrated.

“We have exhausted the proper avenue to acquire approval from the authorities to hold this peaceful gathering but they have insulted us. We will proceed (with the gathering),” said Syed Ibrahim at a press conference held at the Chinese Assembly Hall today.

but our friend below says he is very sure who is organising all "troubles".

Minister of Education Hishamuddin Hussein is very sure the SOMEONE is behind all the rallies and illegal gatherings.....

Yes, Hishammuddin Hussein, "Someone planned (the) recent rallies and street demos" (The Star, Dec 4, 2007.) It is definitely not a coincidence and this "someone" is going to see that there are more street protests and civil disobedience.

BUT YEO CHEE WENG SAYS "GOOD TRY, BUT YOU ARE WRONG."

Yeo Chee Weng in Malaysiakini commented on this Star report:

It is very fine for the Umno Youth chief to lament “It’s very easy for one party to address its own constituents, to address only one race and promise the world to them, but when you ask them to make a stand which involves the future of the country which is multiracial, they are not able to so" when speaking about the opposition parties. But has everyone in Umno been doing that?

Umno leaders have been cloistered in the corridors of power for so long that they no longer recognise

that the "someone" is the struggling worker trying to stay afloat in a sea of rising prices and marginalised as a third-class citizen.

That "someone" is an angry person who sees a bleak future for his children, where lucrative jobs and contracts are parceled out by the colour of your skin and the political largesse that party sycophants receive for their loyalty.

SO TOMORROW NIGHT I CANNOT JOIN SYED IBRAHIM?
I DON'T REMEMBER ANYWHERE WHERE IT SAYS YOU CANNOT LIGHT A CANDLE OR YOU NEED TO GET A PERMIT TO LIGHT A CANDLE IN DATARAN MERDEKA.

YOU CAN SNUFF OUT MY CANDLE BUT NOT MY SPIRIT.

I WILL BE THERE!
YOU ARE WELCOME TO JOIN ME BECAUSE I STILL REMEMBER.........

WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE
ALLAH GAVE US THE POWER TO SPEAK UNLESS HE STRIKE US DUMB!
NO ONE CAN TAKE AWAY THIS GIFT....ONLY GOD CAN.

WEREN'T WE BORN FREE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY?

WHEN INJUSTICE BECOMES LAW, RESISTANCE IS A DUTY OF EVERY FREE MALAYSIAN.

WE SHALL OVERCOME.
WE MUST OVERCOME.

I LEAVE YOU TO THINK ABOUT THIS. LISTEN TO " We Shall Overcome" in Hindi and in English.

Pete Seeger is also widely credited with popularizing the traditional song "We Shall Overcome", which was recorded by Joan Baez and many other singer-activists, and became the publicly perceived anthem of the 1960s American Civil Rights Movement soon after musicologist Guy Carawan introduced it at the founding meeting of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) in 1960.

LET'S DO A C.Y.A. BEFORE OUR FORMER COLONIAL MASTERS THROW STONES AT US.

So we are not alone when it comes to our politicians at their hanky-pankiest.

Malaysian Politicians Oleh dan Boleh.
Can you guys catch the subtle parallels? Intriguing huh?

"WHITELIGHT" SHEDS SOME LIGHT ON OUR DARK SPOTS.

I received a comment this evening at 5.03pm and I thought it was a good posting and it has to be shared with readers. A commentator signing in as WHITELIGHT and it is his/her maiden visit to this blog posted this comment which I now produce in toto.....no editing....the unexpurgated whole.

I choose to share this with all because, though harsh,(read TRUTHFUL) it is nevertheless TEMPERED with sincerity.

Allow me to share a thought that I came across sometime ago and whose origin I cannot recall:

"WHEN INJUSTICE BECOME LAW, RESISTANCE IS A DUTY (OF EVERY PATRIOT.)
Parenthesis my own.

Whitelight wrote:

In MY opinion -

Malaysia needs to ban all political parties based upon race or religion. Political parties must be based upon political ideology and therefore provide a choice of different ideologies for all citizens to vote on.

During election campaign the different parties must "sell" their vision for Malaysia for all Malaysians - none of this bumi, chinese, indian, muslim, christian, buddhist, hindu, special rights etc etc. Once the population has voted then its government for all based upon equality for ALL Malaysians.

Freedom of religion is for your personal self - dont bring God into politics and the parliament. Right to govern comes from majority vote of citizens - I dont recall God ever casting a vote here !!!

Malays, Chinese and Indians are ALL three to blame (sorry but I have to generalise here for emphasis) for the past doings and their respective generationally propagated perceptions of their race being in "competition" with others or even more deserving. I feel all three races have failed the United Malaysian race.

To Malays I say - enough of this special rights treatment, discounted property prices, amanah saham, other favoured whatever etc etc etc. 50 years of independence and also 39 years of May 13 gained special privileges and keris scare tactics is enough. How many more generaions do you guys want to go on with this ? Help should now be given to ALL MALAYSIANS in need on EQUAL merit basis based upon individual needs.

To Chinese I say enough of your favouring each other for e.g. in business and your one upmanship in comparing yourself with others. I still recall my younger days living in a row of shophouses. The Chinese shops always had one set of prices for "others" and one for each other - I wonder if this still goes on, hmmmm ??. Stop advertising for positions calling for Mandarin expertise just to work around the "system" !!! MALAYSIAN race and MALAYSIA should now be your focus and prioirty not the next "Chinaman" .

To Indians I say cultural ties and your future now lies in Malaysia. What Hindraf guys did in trying to present petition to QEII was IN MY OPINION a very stupid and laughable move. If you want to make a point of being treated unfairly - stick to that for all Malaysians as a whole. There are poor people everywhere in Malaysia not only Indians. There was also no reason to demonstrate by bring up historical links to the days of the Indian forefathers and colonial connections - no matter what you thought your clever foxy strategy was. You want to make a point against the governement - say so and do it openly - dont try and be smart and hide it behind colonial history. Be proud and walk like a true MALAYSIAN demonstrating for better chances and more equitable benefits for ALL. You are now 3 or more generations MALAYSIANS not INDIANS. Highlighting colonial links, "forced migration" etc and shortcomings for which you now "require" financial compensation means that you are not proud to be here. If true - hop on a plane back and start your life there - its never too late. If you choose to stay (its always everyone's god given right to choose), think Malaysian, act Malaysian and demonstrate against poverty and inequality for all Malaysians.

Well as Zorro would say - back to my single malt - no water.

HE DID THE NEXT HONORABLE THING.

He moves on but with some honor.

He admitted his misdemeanor
He apologised for his misdemeanor

He waited not for others to make a decision
He made this inevitable decision himself.

You need to possess some streak of decency
to to make this painful but honorable option.

I AM PUTTING UP AN "NOT-SO-HONORABLE" LIST HERE

My first candidate is very obvious....the least honorable in my book
I throw this song, "The Mansion You Stole" at him.
The mansion I own has captured your heart
You said it was love dear but you lied from the start
I wanted true love but you wanted my gold
Someday you'll be sorry for the lies that you told

You've stolen my heart and you cheated on me
But someday my Zaki I know that you'll see
A house without love can make you so cold
And you will be lonely in the mansion you stole

AM I SHOCKED? ARE YOU?

Nah, nothing shocks me where the BN is concerned. The had a full year to prove to us that they are nothing but a bunch of charlatans....banding together to cover each others' u-know-what......all in the name of unity, and do scant nothing about unity of the races. They cover each other over corruption and now I am just wondering how they will cover this up. At best they will look for the distributor of the DVD, who will lead them to the director of this DVD who might lead them to the brain behind this production....and in the end the AG in collusion with the IGP will put this case away with the "no further action" stamp.Correct, correct, correct?

It is magnanimous of his wife to forgive and forget. It was expected of him to own up fast....because he could not hide this anymore. So what next OKT? What will you do PM?...you do know by now, right? Doctor said that he will "serve at the pleasure of the Prime Minister". Remember one of your colleagues did in a 15 year old girl and got off. That precedent was created and now you have a chinese problem on your hands. Probably what Confucious said might help: "If you have problem in head, take solution in hand."

In the West they resign....Profumo? In the extreme East they have the sepuku......in Malaysia what do we have?.......... what can we expect?........somebody tell me......I am going for a new year party now
