After hosting an international conference on MODERATION in Kuala Lumpur, the PM continued in his campaign on the said subject during a recent Chap Goh Meh function.
Like a self-annointed highpriest of Virtue Moderation he intoned to his gawking Chinese worshipers:
“Even though we may differ in terms of faith, moderation exists in almost all religions... Moderation points to an understanding of not practising extreme, fanatical, militant or violent ideology among us.”
This morning Human rights activists failed in their bid to stop authorities from deporting journalists Hamza Kashgari, who face a likely death sentence over a Twitter post. Earlier today, lawyers had scrambled to the Subang Airport in hope of serving the authorities an interim court order to stop the deportation. They then rushed to KLIA but it was too late. Hamza was deported at 10am this morning on a Saudi plane accompanied by the deputy inspector-general of police without his details recorded by the KLIA Immigration. Like Altantuya, yah?
