PENNY CHAN REPORTS FROM MADAGASCAR.

A power outage messed up my router thus the unfamiliar silence. I meant to do this piece earlier and this is just as good a time as ever. I thought I will shoot off this post before I join our people for the 16th candlelight vigil. For all you know tonight some of us will be arrested by the ever-vigilant Police.

++++++

PENNY CHAN aka Gobloking, is on my blogroll as Aunty from Madagascar. A very intense Malaysian, she never fails to stop her car when she visits, gets out and spits at the Pavilion because that is where her old school BBGS (Bukit Bintang Girls School) used to be. She was the one who immediately wrote out a cheque (RM5000) when she found out that Bloghouse was in rental arrears. She was the one who kicked off a fund raising for All Blogs. She came back in December with Uncle, a strapping 6+footer who is numero uno in the Utilities Board in Madland. We met to fish at the Wharf after she participated and spoke at one of our vigils.

Madagascar is in turmoil and she and Uncle are in the midst of this. Uncle refuses to leave as he cannot allow water and power to be disrupted. Meanwhile bags are packed and the sporadic shooting and smoke arising from the city means that nothing is solved.

Visit her HERE, because news of Madagascar seems to deserve no mention in our MSM. At tonight's vigil I will inform our people to remember her after we observe a minute silence for the late A Kugan.

Thank you very much Bernard for the free advert. I don't deserve the fame for my essentially private rambling blog.

We are fine after the mad opposition leader here announced to an astonished population that since the government cannot control the rioting & inciting HE started, He will take over the entire government!

There are lessons here for us to learn in our madland from this madland

More importantly hope there will be NOBODY arrested at the gathering tonight.

Dear Uncle Bernard,

Thank you so much for highlighting Penny's case. Indeed, Penny is one fantastic woman powerpacked with the gift of the garb and might of the pen. She is a very supportive friend/fellow blogger with an endless capacity to give, love and to encourage. Indeed, Malaysia, Madagascar and all who know her are blessed by this wonderful woman. Our hearts and prayers go out to her and her husband, not forgetting Madagascar during these trying times.

Thanks also Uncle Bernard for been supportive to me during my challenging times. We will prevail and you are indeed the 'Father of Bloggers'.

God bless you and all readers, especially Penny, hubby and all in Madagascar.

cheers

Zorro,

Saw u tonite when u are face to face with the men in uniform, along the walkway to Lotus (just to show that I am there...:))

Anyway, did not have the chance to meet with u personally as u are too engaged with the occassion and mrs is too scared with the numbers of the men in uniform.

However, noticed that the other side is just waiting for u to light up the candle before they can pounce on u...so for next week's vigil, maybe all of us bring a Malaysian flag and see what they will do to all the proud Malaysians. And also, as a token, maybe Lotus restaurant can introduce "candlelight dinner" for every Sundays. Heck, we deserve "candlelight dinners" unless the Govt says it's a strict no-no candlelight dinner from now on, which will leave all lovers with no "candlelight dinner" to celebrate valentine's day....
And next week, will be there amongst the diners...if u know what i mean...

Till then...G'nite M'sia...wherever u are...
