PARLIAMENT CLOSED TO MEDIA: BLOG HOUSE ALWAYS OPEN TO MEDIA.

It is not only sad, ....the measures the government is taking to muzzle a free press.
It is disgusting that they think that the 100 odd working journalist are a threat to security.
Well, this is where you can prove to Senator Zaid Ibrahim that you people have the gumption to make a stand. YOU can decide on a total news blackout to BN lawmakers. Of course UMNO and MCA will go for your bosses' hides. This is where you tell your bosses if they have the gumption to get BN to bring down the barricades. Knowing how insecure the BN government currently is, that may take some doing. Try this: dont go scurrying to them for statements.....let them come to you. Don't BEG them for news. YOU call the tune. Tell them: You got something to say, say it, but we will decide what we want to write. Man, that would shake them pompous pricks!

NOT TO WORRY GUYS/GALS.....BLOGHOUSE IS ALWAYS OPEN TO YOU ALL ESPECIALLY THIS COMING SATURDAY. BLOGHOUSE IS CELEBRATING 100 DAYS WITH OUR ELECTED YANG BERKHIDMATS. SHOW YOUR PRESS ID AND YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR DINNER.

(I am putting my neck out admitting you free.....for the life of me I couldn't contact any of the committee members so I am making this unilateral decision. I am doing this because I always believe that asking for forgiveness is easier than asking for permission. I will take the chop all for press freedom.)

So come along on Saturday 8.00pm and have a field day talking to the MPs and Aduns.

hopefully this will enlarge if you click on this....otherwise use magnifying glass

SEE YOU GUYS THEN ON 28 JUNE

For program scroll down to "Celebrating100 Days".

The barricades were removed at 2 something. No biggies. All is good in boleh-land. I dont see we should be shouting out about this issue too much anyway.

Hey, we have tony pua, jeff ooi, etc in the house itself to give us updates. lol

I just finished a huge lump of my savings to repair my car after an ambulance (Government-owned) just took its front off in the parking lot at the Gong Badak Stadium in Terengganu.
Now my rear suspension needs some attention, so does my phone bill, my car installment, my brother's pocket money, etc.etc.
I suspect the parliament reporters go through the same shit.
No matter how shitty the paycheck is when measured against the sky-rocketing cost of living, it is all we have.
In order to keep it coming, we have to do what we're charged with responsibly. Put up the barricades, build a wall, run away, gag yourself, etc.etc.etc. That's part and parcel of the job. We can shout aloud, but at the end of the day, what's delivered is what counts.
You go tell our bosses whatever you want. At the end of the day, the job still has to be done, no matter what.

that's why if you want press freedom, you are encouraged to sign the memo for media freedom. it will be presented to the PM on 31 august. (sorry - people might get fed up of me always talking about the memo but we need 5000 signatures, so i'm pushing hard!).

IT SEEMS LIKE THE LUNATICS ARE TAKING OVER THE ASYLUM... PARLIAMENT, THE ONLY BASTION FOR DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES AND FREE SPEECH IS CURTAILED.. JOURNOS OF ALL PERSUASION ... please, please boycott all press conferences for 1 week, you go cover and report stories of normal everyday folk, those living in poverty, ask them how they make ends meet, those refugees who suffer in silence on the fringes of KL, those commuters that have to travel for hours on crowded trains and LRTs, those victims of snatch-crime that is an everyday occurence now..these are the real stories, we need photo-essays, investigative writing from the heart..for 1 week.

You say:

I think this is the BEST idea I've heard in a long while! Syabas!

The msm is filled with trivia and non-news items - all from the mouths of the powers-that-be. The only reason they make the msm pages is because they're in power. Otherwise, no one would care about the drivel they spout.

I hope someone out there sees this, and decides to act on it. It would need be a balsy someone, so, in all honesty, Zorro, I won't hold my breath and wait.
