The UMNO General Assembly draws interesting parallels with the situation in wartime Nazi Germany. When they trampled all over Europe with their Blitzkrieg victories, their leaders' speeches boasted about the superiority of the German Army. After they got their rear ends kicked in Russia on the slow road to defeat, their speeches correspondingly became more and more apocalyptic, predicting the so called fall of European civilisation should their enemies triumph.
Of course we all know that never happened after the Nazis were defeated.
