A TRANSCRIPT FOR THE PM TO CONTEMPLATE….

Dear Datuk Seri Prime Minister,
I was watching the US Presidential Election and heard Mitt Romney’s concession speech when he conceded defeat yesterday. Mr Romney’s speech was sincere, appropriate, magnanimous, engaging and stimulating. It really takes a politician of rare exemplary stature to bear his raw feelings at a time of great disappointment at being defeated so narrowly in the popular votes. He maintained remarkable poise in the face of his dejected audience and mindful that he was going to be heard throughout the world!
Over five decades and 12 General Elections, your coalition was able to defeat the opposition. However, losing five states was admittedly a rude awakening to your Barisan Nasional. Your retaking of my home state of Perak was besides being detestable, was also wicked and immorally opprobrious. After being defeated in some 8 by elections your infamous uttering about defending Putrajaya with crushed bodies was shameful and viciously vile, unbecoming of a statesman of supposedly established distinguished lineage.
You would be calling for GE13 soon and just in case your coalition is ousted by us the rakyat, we hope you will be graceful in defeat like all great statesmen. As such I have retrieved Mitt Romney’s concession speech for your contemplation and soul searching(?):
ROMNEY: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, my friends. Thank you so very much.(APPLAUSE)
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I have just called President Obama to congratulate him on his victory. His supporters and his campaign also deserve congratulations.
ROMNEY: His supporters and his campaign also deserve congratulations. I wish all of them well, but particularly the president, the first lady and their daughters.(APPLAUSE)
This is a time of great challenges for America, and I pray that the president will be successful in guiding our nation.(APPLAUSE)
ROMNEY: I want to thank Paul Ryan for all that he has done for our campaign. (APPLAUSE) And for our country. Besides my wife, Ann, Paul is the best choice I’ve ever made.(APPLAUSE) And I trust that his intellect and his hard work and his commitment to principle will continue to contribute to the good of our nation. (APPLAUSE) I also want to thank Ann, the love of my life. (APPLAUSE)
ROMNEY: She would have been a wonderful first lady. She’s -- she has been that and more to me and to our family and to the many people that she has touched with her compassion and her care. I thank my sons for their tireless work on behalf of the campaign, and thank their wives and children for taking up the slack as their husbands and dads have spent so many weeks away from home. (APPLAUSE) I want to thank Matt Rhoades and the dedicated campaign team he led. (APPLAUSE) They have made an extraordinary effort not just for me, but also for the country that we love.
And to you here tonight, and to the team across the country -- the volunteers, the fundraisers, the donors, the surrogates -- I don’t believe that there’s ever been an effort in our party that can compare with what you have done over these past years. Thank you so very much. Thanks for all the hours of work, for the calls, for the speeches and appearances, for the resources and for the prayers. You gave deeply from yourselves and performed magnificently. And you inspired us and you humbled us. You’ve been the very best we could have imagined.
ROMNEY: The nation, as you know, is at a critical point. At a time like this, we can’t risk partisan bickering and political posturing. Our leaders have to reach across the aisle to do the people’s work. And we citizens also have to rise to the occasion. We look to our teachers and professors, we count on you not just to teach, but to inspire our children with a passion for learning and discovery. We look to our pastors and priests and rabbis and counselors of all kinds to testify of the enduring principles upon which our society is built: honesty, charity, integrity and family. We look to our parents, for in the final analysis everything depends on the success of our homes.
ROMNEY: We look to job creators of all kinds. We’re counting on you to invest, to hire, to step forward. And we look to Democrats and Republicans in government at all levels to put the people before the politics. I believe in America. I believe in the people of America. (APPLAUSE)
And I ran for office because I’m concerned about America. This election is over, but our principles endure. I believe that the principles upon which this nation was founded are the only sure guide to a resurgent economy and to renewed greatness.
Like so many of you, Paul and I have left everything on the field. We have given our all to this campaign.(APPLAUSE)
I so wish -- I so wish that I had been able to fulfill your hopes to lead the country in a different direction, but the nation chose another leader. And so Ann and I join with you to earnestly pray for him and for this great nation. Thank you, and God bless America. You guys are the best. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thanks, guys.

Speaking of statemen, we too have a vile, corrupt and a frustrated racist and to some a so-called "statesman" of Indian lineage who's not fit to even tie the shoe-laces of this Romney.

Like father like son, the real reason for the delay calling for the 13th GE is to enable him to hang on as the P.M. for the glamour the come with being the P.M..
He was never elected as the P.M., even though it was indeed a razor close win it was, but it was still a win for AB. He knows on his own, just like what it is now, he will never win the election and also become the P.M.. Unfortunately for him the legal time limit for him to hang on to the position of P.M. is just months away.
He will, just like his father, find an excuse to hang on as the P.M.. His father was using emergency as the excuse to kick out TAR and he will use something similar to remain as P.m. just mark my words.

His son will suffer his sins and be kicked out of Putrajaya next time around...Kharmic influence doe'nt stop and it will haunt this buggers till the ends of the earth....WE HOPE WE CAN BE WITNESS TO IT.

You have just exposed the smallness and arrogance of Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Kit Siang - as leader of the Opposition, they have never made any concession speech to the leader of the winning BN coalition in the last GE and the previous ones. Never accepted their loss and yet feigning victory because of their ambition which have blinded them.

This Romney speech illustrates why America has been the greatest country in the world for many years, and looks set to continue to be so for many more years to come. It reflects the fine values of democracy and human rights upon which America was founded – also the values that have become the bedrock of other successful democracies. Please spread this speech far and wide in Malaysia, so that it would encourage all Malaysians – in particular, Umno and our Prime Minister, who has demonstrated the lack of such democratic spirit to accept defeat – to remain faithful to our Constitution, whatever the outcome of the coming general election.

When you are staring at the prospect of a lengthy jail term and confiscation of your ill-gotten wealth, you would get on your private jet immediately after you know you lost the election and go stay with your son-in-law in one of the land of the 'stan'.

There wouldn't be anyone there to hear his ucapan because he doesn't have anymore money to throw around ... and his former best friends and allies would not want to be seen with a loser.

So, forget about the speech, okay.

In reply to Anon November 9, 2012 10:53 AM,

In Malaysia, there's never a tradition on concession speeches...but then if the previous Elections have been FAIR & FREE, I think the Leader of the losing Party would not mind giving the concession speech.
Come GE13 we'll see if NR will concede graciously with that level of concession speech.

Thank you.. God Bless Malaysia.

Anon412pm, thanks for the comment. I meant to express the same sentiments -concession speech not traditional to us. Victory and concession speech should be a good way to thank your supporters for their dedication and loyalty to your campaign.

The US election is done in a fair manner.
They even gets to vote who gets to be the president.
And it is by the Number of Votes.
In Malaysia , there is this gerrymandering . Whereby a small Pootrajaya qualify to be a seat.

This is why PR why NOT kowtow to BN illegal wins.
Will be fine for PR to concede defeat during the 12th election if it is fair level ground.

Malaysia politicians are cross breeds of the Mahathirs, Najibs, Nazris, Muhyiddins, Amans, Taibs, Soi Leks and any dirty people you can imagine. You wouldn't want to touch them with a 10 metre pole unless you want your pole to be contaminated.

Tak selupa lah! You are comparing a chimpanzee UMNO kingdom and Americans, men of culture and long history of human civilization. Americans may have their weaknesses but, they hold true to pure democracy which they harbor dearly. So can be said of other Western nations such as UK, Canada, France, Australia and the list goes on. It is a privilege to witness the losers taking defeat with such grace and respecting the decision of the electorate. So don't waste your time explaining to these deranged low beings, self-claimed UMNO Ketuanan Melayu. Puuit! They can lick my arse!

Najib Razak is not even 10% of Mitt Romney; the only similarity these two men have is, both represent parties with diminishing and shrinking appeal to their countrymen!

Romney had good words for his wife.. "She would have been a wonderful first lady... and to the many people that she has touched with her compassion and her care"

Wonder what Najib will say of his fat butt, huh?

Zorro,

Great to know that you are back, congratulations.

Yes indeed, Jibby is desperate !

To compare himself with Obama or Romney...is like comparing a "Mule (Jibby) with a "Thoroughbred Racehorse (Obama/Romney)"

Take care and Shalom.
