THE MORNING AFTER: MONDAY MOOD

It is 11:55am and I am not about ready to leave Magick River in Hulu Selangor yet. Need to clean up #22 my home away from home since 16 April. No, I am not in a dark mood....pensive maybe...that's why I took a chilling dip in the Magick River and thought about what I will write before I drive out of Kampong Orang Asli Petak. I leave with these thoughts and I'd like to dedicate it to my host Antares and Mary McGuire who bore up with me and the Special Bunch and those of you out there who walked with us on this journey.

GO READ KENNY GAN FOR AN INSIGHTFUL INSIGHT.

What ever it is, thank you zorro and gang for helping BN win at HS. You all really did us a favour when you pushed for the wrong candidate. Thanks for pushing of Zaid to run..it was when Zaid confirmed he was running, Bn were sure of this win. Thank you again

After their victory in Hulu Selangor, BN should transform to Manisan Nasional because they are the best candy distributor. What is the next transformation? Tangisan Nasional.

Its a sad day for everyone. No matter what, i think its something expected after all the money splashed all over! Must say that despite that, the majority is not big so thats something Zaid should be proud of despite all the bashing he got.

On hell of a "buy election" this one! Onward to Sibu for the next challenge!

'Dirtiest and most corrupt' by-election ever: Zaid
http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/130200

21st Century Trust
Corruption and its Victims
( Introductory Paper )

http://www.21stcenturytrust.org/corrupt.doc

Any discussion of corruption must start with at least one definition, because in many people’s minds “corruption” is almost equated with “evil”. Perhaps the tidiest and most succinct is that coined by J J Senturia in 1931 - “Corruption is the misuse of public power for private profit”. This clearly includes bribery of national or local officials or politicians in any form, but excludes bribery which is solely within the private sector. It includes, in the word “profit”, money, entertainment or any less tangible benefit..................................
......................
The second reason is that there is little prospect of achieving much reduction in petty corruption when grand corruption is rampant. What hope is there of persuading a “small man” to behave honestly when he know that the “big men” are enriching themselves? The Turks are right when they say “A fish rots from the head downwards”. So does a State.

Hi Zorro Unmasked, Me and my mum had the pleasure of meeting you, Antares and Shanghai Fish at the KKB stadium on Saturday. All I have to say is that, we have done our part to kick the evil regime out, but some ppl are so blinded by money and what not that was given out during the campaign by BN. They forgot the various shitty things they did to us residents. One thing for sure, is that there have not been an active effort to get young voters who have wised up to register and vote for PR. This must be done starting from this moment, before it is too late. On a last note, I hoped that you, Shanghai Fish and others from far away enjoyed the stay at Hulu Selangor. Take care.

It is not about fighting. It is all about God's will.It is all in the scriptures. Our failure is our laziness to read and comprehand his road map laid before us.Do read the latest piece from RPK and I hope we get the drift.Umno will surely die and that is God's will.

MACC dare not even take actions against that 2 lame froggies from Perak and how can the rakyat expect them to take actions against Mr C4, ooppps..sorry the PM. If they do, they will all die standing, literally. The very first day it was created by that sleepy flip flop lame duck guy, it was doom for failure. With so so many obvious cases that involve corruptions and murder to name a few, they just dont have the guts or just turn a blind eye.
PKR lost, but no big deal. The voters of U. Selangor at least got milllions$$$$$$$$$ provided those rich rich politicians and their cronies kept their promises.
As a matter of fact, they should thank our great ZAID for those $millionssssssss.
PKR will bounce back much much stronger. Just wait and see.

Thank you, Zorro for your minutest report. This is the closest I've followed an Elections, and I agree with you "it's the dirtiest" by a thousand miles!

Well, if you want to win bad, that's the game to play. Two can play the same game, maybe the next General Elections we all play dirty! Janji menang, ya?

Sure the Chinese don't trust the indians .Bear in mind ,that the same prejudice ,Also dwells upon the mind of the Indians and the Malays too.

funny ,i, an indian malaysian , were to write such a remark towards another race,i would label as a racist- narrow mind -hindraf supporter.

But apparently, any bad/racial/slur remarks about the indian community is consider as "criticism".

Calling the indians pariah, useless, bodoh, beggar, cheap, deserve to be poor(this one takes the biscuit),could be consider as criticism?no sir! .This is pure hatred, easy targets.UMNO has been doing it all these years, and followed closely by PR now.I support the idea of Bangsa Malaysia ,i want to believe in it but it's become difficult everyday.
thank you

It was really a good competition in Hulu Selangor.
But PR especially the PKR must face reality. No team can goes on winning without losing.
Winning will turns ugly and make PKR or PR arrogant, we dont want that.
Even your favourite Manchester United will turns arrogant if they keeps on winning all matches.
Be ready for the next stop, Sibu.

Uncle Zollo
The DUMNO Leader said BN didn't buy votes in recent Hulu Selangor buy-erection. Even if that dumbo didn't mention such, we the people well aware that BN are innocent. DUMNO DUMBO didn't buy erection, but sure pay for the Choon-Tois resulted in Zaid avoided HS at all cost.

Yes, voter registration must be ongoing now. There is a group in KL doing weekend registrations. If you give me your email, I can link this group to you. You could also be part of this group in Hulu Selangor. keep in touch & regards to your mum.

Maybe it's time for the PR to regroup and think of a different strategy for the coming GE. BN has the all the financial resources, I mean Najib literally holds the public coffer. PKR has a lot of house cleaning to do and I wish them all the best.

Z - have you ever considered becoming a neutral again and working to right the wrongs not by trying to change the government but by changing the way things one by one are done?

Might be more in keeping with your name......

Bernard,

Infact LKS did hint on the "Shortcomings", Disjointed Coordination, etc minus the "Regular Machinery".

There was a mention in one of the Blogs - Because of the initial accommodation logistics & food issue, many from up the North "Machinery Workers" left after the 1st day & did not want to come back until the Nominations/ Election day.

It was sad to see Datuk Zaid & the remaining PR Excos/Supporters, Brigade of Bloggers, their supporters trying to cope up with all the "Sabotages, etc".

I hope it will be a lesson learnt by the PR Leaders, etc. to "Listen" to the "Ground", their BASIC needs & also to RPK's suggestions.

What else is new in Bolehland?

Well, UMNO/BN's "Alternative Provocation Tactics" of Gutter Politics & their Law of the Jungle which can only be found in the UMNO/BN Holy Book... Same Modus Operandi !

So we must be mindful of the lessons learnt, be aware & counter their "Modus Operandi".

Maybe this & many more might help for the next "Buy-Elections"...

http://www.g****e.com/search?client=gmail&rls=gm&q=Strategies for Election Political Campaigning

God always has something Better for those who are willing to Persevere & Wait a little longer.

He has his Reasons to Protect Datuk Zaid for now & preparing PR for the "War" ahead.

Also if One points a finger at someone else, three fingers are pointing at Oneself...

Yes, sometimes we are the "Cause of our own Problems"...

I would like to also share this with you...

A very “Touching, Inspiring & Powerful Speech” indeed…

J.K. Rowlings speaks at the Harvard Alumini….

“The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination”

This speech is worth listening to, c***k on link below:

It was a great pleasure having you and the SB (special bunch) in our neck of the woods. Thanks to you all for an amazing job, Shame we weren't in party mood to finish the buy-election big time but there'll be lots of opportunities for celebratory parties to come, of that I'm sure. It seems the only way to stop vote buying is to try and convince everyone to take the money and then vote the opposite way...that'd teach em heh, heh!

Anon1016am....neutral,stradling the fence with one leg on each side of the fence can damage the family jewels. Being neutral at this point in time will be immorally complacent. Go ahead if you wish to but not me. All the best and hope you will be comfortable on the fence.People usually use fence sitters for target practice because they are so visible.

Nathan Kamal, you and your brother are always welcome. Email me and tell me where we can meet. I will buy the drinks. Cheers and hope to hear from you yah?

JK Rowling Harvard Commencement Speech Part 3 - June 5 2008
http://vodpod.com/watch/3389685-jk-rowling-harvard-commencement-speech-part-3-june-5-2008

...."What I feared most for myself at your age was not poverty, but failure.....

At your age, in spite of a distinct lack of motivation at university, where I had spent far too long in the coffee bar writing stories, and far too little time at lectures, I had a knack for passing examinations, and that, for years, had been the measure of success in my life and that of my peers.

Actually, I have wracked my mind and heart for what I ought to say to you today. I have asked myself what I wish I had known at my own graduation, and what important lessons I have learned in the 21 years that have expired between that day and this.

I have come up with two answers. On this wonderful day when we are gathered together to celebrate your academic success, I have decided to talk to you about the benefits of failure. And as you stand on the threshold of what is sometimes called ‘real life’, I want to extol the crucial importance of imagination.

So why do I talk about the benefits of failure?

Simply because failure meant a stripping away of the inessential. I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else, I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one arena I believed I truly belonged.

I was set free, because my greatest fear had been realised, and I was still alive, and I still had a daughter whom I adored, and I had an old typewriter and a big idea. And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.

You might never fail on the scale I did, but some failure in life is inevitable. It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.

Now you might think that I chose my second theme, the importance of imagination, because of the part it played in rebuilding my life, but that is not wholly so. Though I personally will defend the value of bedtime stories to my last gasp, I have learned to value imagination in a much broader sense.

Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the fount of all invention and innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathise with humans whose experiences we have never shared.

If you choose to use your status and influence to raise your voice on behalf of those who have no voice; if you choose to identify not only with the powerful, but with the powerless; if you retain the ability to imagine yourself into the lives of those who do not have your advantages, then it will not only be your proud families who celebrate your existence, but thousands and millions of people whose reality you have helped change. We do not need magic to change the world, we carry all the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better......"

Cheers.

We have not obtained the complete details of the results but.......... PKR now needs to keep in mind they are not going to get to Putrajaya without paying the due price. That much is clear from these elections. The ball has been in PKR's court for some time now.

===============================.

Well ! HINDRAF thought that itself is the kingmaker for Hulu selangor .
Haaaaaaaa...haaaaa.....

To be frank to you , HINDRAF , the true kingmaker of this by-election was " Ringgit MALAYSIA " or aka "Buy-election ".
So , please don't ever confuse yourself.
