When UMNO (and not MIC if you don’t mind) announced their candidate Kamalanathan for the parliamentary seat in Hulu Selangor he went heavy on the accelerator and spoke of nothing but himself, as any PR (public relations, that is) geek would do. He knew that he was offered on the altar and he might as well spin somewhat, as UMNO knows little about him and thus can’t speak much for him except to say that his name was a 1Malaysia name…..Kamal (as in Malay), Ah Lan (as in Chinese & if he was Christian, Alan then) and Nathan (a very Indian name).
Kamal said that his Malay friends remarked that his Bahasa was superior to Zaid’s.
Ah Lan said that he had friends and one of them had a durian estate and he would visit the estate to enjoy durians in season.
Oh yes, he said he was a team player unlike Zaid who attended opposition gatherings. Well, the way I see it, Zaid is a discerning person very particular about who he teams with unlike Kamal-a-lan-nathan who was not even in the MIC team list, much less in the starting line-up. Dang, I would have been devastated if my own team did not pick me and instead another team picked me as their RESERVE player. Let me remind Kamalanathan that reserves normally replace either an injured or a regular and thus do not play the full match because they are not good enough to be in the starting eleven.
Nathan, as I recall did not say much about the Indians in Hulu Selangor but instead went full throttle defending Ibrahim Ali’s PERKASA.
And as such Ib Ali may want to campaign for him in Hulu Selangor. A naïve Kamal might salivate at this prospect but not Datuk Sak asked:
Now, what business does a political hydra have in Hulu Selangor?
If I were the campaign director of UMNO in HS, I will refuse to associate UMNO with the head of Perkasa, UMNO is not a Mafia organisation which treats an enemy of its enemy is its friend. Ibrahim Ali. Ibrahim Ali can't come into HS and say he is campaigning as an independent. Is Ibrahim Ali a political hydra with so many heads? Then there is only one option for UMNO- lob of his head!
What is the philosophy of Perkasa? According to Ibrahim Ali and the organization's other leaders, the prime objective is to fight for all Malay interest. Everything first for the Malay. Ibrahim has said this so many times, he has even unsheathed a kris to reinforce this conviction. Now, unless Ibrahim Ali is a congenital liar, we will hold on to this pledge to uphold the Malay and Malay interest at all times.
