REMEMBERING 1957.

19,736 MALAYSIANS HAVE SIGNED
AS OF 11:00AM TODAY.
HAVE YOU?

HARIS of People's Parliament kicked this off; Raja Petra of Malaysia Today on two occasions asked us to get off our butts and sign the petition; I am putting up this appeal again on the eve of Merdeka Day. One candle may not light up the darkness, but 50000 will send an awesome message that we do not want UMNO's Zaki as the next Chief Justice. Your petition in 2007 stopped the former Chief Justice from getting an extension; your involvement in the recent Permatang Pauh by-election have shamed EC's Rashid. Share and be part of this experience. Click on www.petitiononline....provided in the above poster.

DO IT NOW!

Almost all Malaysians are crying for justice, yet, so many are not prepared to move their butts or to make a small effort to sign the petition. Is it a 'fear mentality' or simply indifferent?
The fight for Merdeka II must be a uniformed effort that will only bear fruit for a dignified and untainted judiciary for Malaysia.
Zorro, Haris and co. I take my hat
to you blokes...ever willing to fight without fear for your beliefs.

Hi Zorro,
DOn't suppose a Singaporean signing the petition would count huh?

jojo: if the site accepts your ID, why not. You would come under "sympathisers" no? Thanks anyway.

my humble suggestion for such solemn distress with 'black/white & big/small candles/lilins' = water/plain tea is MOST ideal ! strong/coloured drinks for other times, ok !?

Many would rather see others do the work. Some just cajole others on. I can understand if you don't take to the streets for fear of tear-gas and water cannons. What I cannot understand is the refusal to sign a petition just because you have to give your name.

Being a chinaman, I can't blame those who call us the YELLOW BELLIED. Need proof? You don't call the MCA the 'Chicken Association' fer nothing you know.

Zorro, you can bet Haris would have double the signatories if no names and I.c's were required.

I wish I can be in M'sia right now in the midst of all these happenings.

waste of time. tell me 1 example ..just 1.. that an online petition actually gave results ?

Sham, the 5000 signatures with IC# to the Agung not to extend the term of the previous Chief Justice. It took a month to get 5000 signatures as people were not used to giving out their IC# in petitions, pre 8 March. In less than a month, some 20,000 have appended their names and signed with their IC#.

Sham even if the agung does not listen to this current petition, we know that 20,000 are AWARE of our intentions, which is the non-appointment of UMNO Zaki as the next CJ.

The other online petition to appeal for funds for RPK's defense was an overwhelming success. In less than 3 hours RM34,000 were pledged and we had to stop the fund.

Little steps by people's power Sham.

But no forcing anyone to take the first step, just encouraging.
