The appointment of former Negri Sembilan menteri besar Mohd Isa Abdul Samad as Felda chairperson has been unsettling news for the market, says Maybank Investment chief executive officer Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.HERE
Speaking at a forum in Kuala Lumpur today, Tengku Zafrul said a shrinking talent pool could be the reason why top posts in government-linked companies were required to be filled by a bumiputera.

So what if you had commented and the NEAC members/panelist repeated the same things you've written. The fact remains is the top dogs in UMNO are the lords and they decide what is best for themselves. The rest of us and the appointed members of NEAC or other so-called bodies can go to hell. So what is Zainal Azman helped formulate the 2nd, 4th and 5th Malaysian plan. UMNO can appoint whoever they want to head Felda, GLCs, etc as long as the appointees are part of their alumni. Whether they can do shit is another matter. Period.

Hey what logic is that? Small pool means few choices which should imply widening the net which means even if non-bumi, they have to be accepted. If one restrict choice to only bumi, that shrinking talent pool will shrink even further resulting in even less choice.
