You seem to THINK, you are not sure yet whether you are a better candidate for change. Anyway, why borrow this CHANGE agenda. All these 20 years your late cousin could have, but did no, or would not push for change. Why change when you can milk the fattened calf, that is BN. What is your change agenda if you have one. Did you spell out the how, the when and the whys for change in your manifesto. Nothing was reported! Were you referring to your late cousin as the “someone who has been trying to push for change for more than 20 years? You can’t be referring to your rival Wong as he isnot the MP for Sibu.Why this sudden push for change anyway. You late cousin did little in this direction because it would be contrary to the wishes of his masters in Sarawak and Putra Jaya, which is “Keep Sibuans in the pen….feed them occasionally, give them a little bit at a time and only at the right time. That way you keep their tongue hanging out all the time in anticipation for the next feed. Same kind of scenario that sparked the French Revolution.

"I'm my own man. The late Robert Lau and I were very close... we had our own opinions but we could work together. We may have had different traits, but on principle we were united towards developing Sibu," he said.

Dang, who is interested in how close you were, how varied your opinions, how different your character traits! If you are your own man why refer to yourself as How united were both of you towards developing Sibu. I have been here only 4 days and I hear endlessly that drainage is nothing to talk about, flooding is a way of life, roads are poor, access to long houses of little importance, sanitation and filth is apparently of little concern of in Mayor and the former Member of Parliament. Probably you want another 20 years. Your late cousin had 20 years and did nothing. Maybe you can do better in the next 20 years…..IF. But the people of Sibu is awake now…..not awake and still lying in bed, but have got out of bed and finally realize that they have been had by the LAUs.

Lau stressed that the SUPP have and will continue to develop Sibu "progressively", in line with Prime Minsiter Najib Abdul Razak's 1Malaysia vision and the New Economic Model (NEM) towards building a high-income society.

That is a lot of bull……”progressively” can mean another 20 years of foot-dragging, exploitation of the Ibans….give them a pig in exchange for their ancestral land. Haven’t you heard of the impending economic crash in Malaysia. You still believe in Najib with all his baggage and his First Lady mama? Greed really can cause glaucoma.

"We must help the locals, business, education. We cannot just harp on old issues, we have to move on, because nothing stays the same.

We heard your late cousin bore the people of Sibu with this same tune when he harped….pun intended. Yes, you need to move on like the silted and slow moving Rajan River .Nothing stays the same? Sibu kind of did for twenty years under Cousin Lau.

"Datuk Seri Najib has been very successful in doing this. So when he comes here, we will invite the people to come and meet him. We are bringing it all to Sibu," he said.

In Peninsula Malaysia NAJIB pays people to come to have tea with him. Little Lau, we call this SUCKING UP to……have a good suck but lau (hokkien for “leave some”) for others who are behind you who might want to suck too.
