TEHSIN'S LAST HOPE! MINE ALWAYS.

On the eve of the Bersih Walk I appealed to our King (here) to ensure that the police do not harm the participants of the Bersih Rally. I did that because he was our last bastian of hope. Probably he did not get the message or he was shielded from such messages from the common folk.

This morning, I read about another plea from blogger-friend TEHSIN..... a very impassioned plea that left me unsuccessfully holding back a sob. This happens to me every time I read about desperate appeal to the only hope we have, our King, to bring back some sanity to this beautiful country and its equally beautiful people.currently at a loss for succor.

I post here, in toto, TEHSIN's passionate appeal.....a piognant pleading from a hurt heart and desperate soul:

MESSAGE FOR TUANKU MIZAN

Assalamualaikum,

Tuanku,

I have no idea what is the right way to address a King. I have never met a King in person. I have been courted by a prince (but that is a different story, a long time ago), but no, I have not had the chance to meet a King.

So I apologise if my message to you appears crude and unbefitting a King.

I just know that you are human like all of us, and that Rasullulah SAW was the King of men but he remained the humblest and most accessible of leaders. And he is our guide and example. The example for all mankind.

I do not know if you see what we Malaysians see, because you as with all our leaders, are totally detached from the real people by your immense wealth and man-made protocols. We, the rakyat, see a nation slowly and surely dying a slow, protracted, painful death. Our leaders, from all parties, BN, UMNO, Pakatan have lost their minds. And lost their focus.

They are either insanely bent on becoming the Prime Minister in an undemocratic way, or in the case of those democratically-elected (unfortunately) to rule the nation, driving us into the ground by their power struggles and back-stabbing actions and incompetent rule and unstudied decisions, plans and policies.

We the people are left to fend for ourselves. In my earlier post, I put up a piece by a Capt Aziz Abdullah, entitled, "I weep for Malaysia". He speaks for ALL of us in the most eloquent of manner.

WE ALL ARE WEEPING FOR MALAYSIA. I WEEP AS I WRITE THIS. AREN'T YOU WEEPING, MY KING? AS SOVEREIGN, ARE YOU NOT HUMILIATED THAT MALAYSIA HAS BECOME A LAUGHING STOCK OF THE WORLD AND KNOWN AS THE LAND OF SODOMY?

I wept this morning as I held my daughter tight and felt her tiny beating heart under my palm. I worry for her. I worry for our people. I took part in a Qi Gong exercise group this morning. We consisted of Chinese, Indians, Malays and me, a daughter of a Pakistani immigrant, whose grandfather fought for Malaysia, for your forefathers. I felt tears in my eyes, because this is what Malaysia is about. My dream is always for a Muslim nation and my dream is for all my non-Muslim friends to receive and embrace the message of Allah, which is for all mankind. If they do not accept it, it is my fault, the Muslims fault. Because I, we have failed in our da'wah, failed in spreading the message well and failed in setting a good example. They are still however, my fellow human beings, and I love and care for them and feel their pain and hunger too as they feel mine. We are all brothers and sisters, from one source. Adam and Eve. We all deserve justice and equality and a safe and secure nation to call our home.

Do you not see what is happening today? Our nation is struggling to survive, to breathe.

The economy is at a standstill. The world's chaos are piling up at our door, and soon that door will fly open from the increasing pressure and we will all be consumed. We are unprepared. Our country has been languishing for years, continuously raped and pillaged by the corrupt leaders who abuse all machinery, from the executive to the judiciary to the local councils, to satisfy their greed. Their bottomless greed. And now, the time for reckoning has come.

As Allah said, all destruction is wrought by our own hands. How very true. And when destruction comes, He Says, none will be spared, even the innocent. Because those who had the power and capacity to speak out, DID NOT.

I looked into the horizon as I do every morning as I sent my baby to school earlier. And all I saw and see daily is a black pall of smog, worsening by the day, hanging over the city and the outskirts. It is like a sign, a sign of doom. Physical and spiritual destruction. A reflection of our psyche and hearts. Black, ugly, sinful. As the leaders play their games, the people suffer. trying to make ends meet. Trying to balance family needs and plain survival. The environment suffers. Everything and everyone is neglected.

We have reached the end of our ropes.

YOU, TUANKU MIZAN, are the last line of defense for this nation. You are the KING. Whatever the restrictions of the constitution, believe this. The people will be behind you. The people need you to TELL THE LEADERS TO JUST STOP! STOP WITH THE GAMES, WITH THE POWER STRUGGLE, WITH THE ABUSE OF THE POLICE, THE JUDICIARY AND ALL OTHER MACHINERY MEANT FOR THE PEOPLE'S CONVENIENCE AND WELL-BEING!

TELL THEM TO STOP! ORDER THEM TO STOP!

COMMAND THEM TO START WORKING TOGETHER WITH THE PEOPLE AND COME UP WITH SOLUTIONS AND PLANS FOR OUR FUTURE. LET THE PEOPLE'S VOTES DECIDE WHO SHOULD GOVERN! NOT THE GAMES AND MANIPULATION OF THE POLITICIANS!

The Messenger of Allah SAW said, "Allah SWT will grasp the earth on the Day of Resurrection and will roll up the heavens in His Right, then He will say, "I am the King! Where are the kings of the earth?" [Al-Bukhari]

The trust put by Allah upon the leaders is so great that they should be quaking in their boots from fear of incurring His Wrath by committing injustices or allowing injustice to prevail. Even you Tuanku Mizan, with all due respect, should be quaking in your expensive shoes.

And so, I beseech you,

COMMAND THEM TO STOP THE GAMES AND GET THEM TO START WORKING TOGETHER.

THE PEOPLE NEED YOU.

DO NOT BETRAY THEM WITH YOUR INACTION AND SILENCE.

*****

We all know the King is a puppet and has no executive powers. To fix the country make sure Anwar Ibrahim becomes PM then we have a better chance. That is the realistic way to go .

Your friend's hallucinating appeal to the King is misplaced and naive to say the least. Its called re-beating round the imaginary mulberry bush

Hi Zorro,
Thanks for posting Tehsin’s message I do visit her site occasionally, but not that often compared to yours. Yes, many Malaysians would share her feelings. And as a Muslim, I feel so ashame with all the going-ons.
Seriously, how do we get Tuanku to read this message from a Rakyat? Can RPK give a hand? One thing for sure, the posting will have a bigger coverage if it gets into Malaysiatoday.
The other day I saw on a TV-news, one of the Rulers (I think its Pahang) was hitting out
at the Blogs ...... if he personally reads Blogs, I’m sure he will not miss out RPK’s.

Very beautifully conveyed. The truth reflects spotlessly in this appeal. And if the Rulers and the Politicians cannot still see the storm coming, God Bless Malaysia !!

Indeed, this message was down right humble, simple and touches the heart.

As an ordinary Malaysian, I fear for the future of the country where I was born.

As an ordinary Malaysian, I did my part and voted for change, a change for better governance of the country without fear or favor and prejudices.

As an ordinary Malaysian, I felt helpless without any recourse while the politicians continue with the bitching and power struggle.

As an ordinary Malaysian, I have completely lost the faith and trust to the rule of law so proclaimed by the government.

As an ordinary Malaysian, I am really sick and tired of these selfish SOB irrespective of political groupings that is making Malaysia a laughing stock to the eyes of the universe.

A very touching letter all of us can relate to. If this is not good enough to get Tuanku Mizan off his throne, nothing else will.

I have tried to refrain from saying this, but I couldn't care less now.

I WISHED RAJA NAZRIN WAS OUR AGONG RIGHT NOW. HE'D KNOW WHAT TO DO AND HE WILL NOT DESERT HIS PEOPLE IN SUCH TRYING TIMES.

1. Our police only brings disrespect to the badge they wear.
2. The director of KLH disgrace the medical profession just so she could keep her job.
3. The judge presiding over the Altantuya case believe 'Justice is Bind' and not 'Blind'.
4. Our leaders thinks the only way to democracy is to rule by autocracy.
5. So what purpose does a King serve in this country of ours if not as the last bastion of hope for the down-trodden? But to serve that purpose, one must really get off that high horse and not just dream about it. Look at Raja Nazrin. He has been making statements that the role of rulers are not limited to just ceremonial duties. So my dear Tuanku Mizan, what are you gonna do? Time to earn your keeps, ya?

Dear Zorro

I do not mean to pour cold water but this is an exercise in futility.

If the Rulers wanted to do something, anything, they would have done so already.Surely they know what is going on in the country lately, unless they are living in another world.

Even our Perak crown prince is all talk only,no action. What more can we expect from the rest of the royalties?

Anonymous said...

As touching and heartfelt as Tehsin's words are, I think His Majesty and the Malaysian royalty as a whole will do nothing. There are a few who hear their people's cries, but let's face it, if they have kept silent all this while, chances are they will keep silent much longer. Whether because out of apathy, their own interests, or fear, I do not think they will step up to the front. I have utmost respect for the handful of the Royalty who have stepped in when necessary, especially for the Sultan and the Crown Prince of Perak, but even they have kept their public words to polite rebukes. I think it's because the Royalty know that they only have so much influence in this day and age where the role and strength of royalty is very much reduced compared to the powers of government. They know it, we know it. And I think many Malaysians do not want the Royalty to hold a larger role. We are quite happy to have them around as long as they are on our side and do not interfere too much with our daily lives. But have we ever considered what if they aren't? What if Royalty fails us? Best thing is don't look to others to help us. If the King won't step in for us, we have to find a way to move forward without his intervention.

Sorry to sound so cynical, but I just wanted to say that we need to stop putting our hopes on other people to affect our destiny. If, at this pivotal moment in time, we don't have (to borrow Bernard's apt words) the scrotal or cuntal gumption to stand up for a Malaysia that is for the people and a country we would be proud to see our children and grandchildren inherit, in future we are still going to get walked over, screwed under and oppressed from above by others, whether it's by our government, the opposition or the Royalty.

Dear Uncle Bernard, if I'm not wrong Raja Nazrin in his speech earlier this week made the point that the Royalties do see and hear everything, but they have to make extra effort to stay impartial. That was in the context of political party shinenigans, but I am not sure at all when the Royalties would push the proverbial "Panic Button" and intervene before the our nation reached the point of no return down the sink hole. I really wonder.

The state of the nation is not beyond hope if Msians fully apprehend the problems that we see surfacing in the last few years. It is af if the scales have been removed from our eyes.

What is the last straw that is probably going to break the back of the present government's intransigence and indifference to citizens and nation's cry for justice, transparency and reform?

Part of the problem of citizens now is we are in the blame game season. Blame everything on the politicians and now blame the King for being a silent witness.

Tehsin's letter is truthful as far as divine judgement is concerned. The revelations of impropreity/judicial fixing/corruption in high places have come out in recent years.

We should see that, as a nation, we have become too proud, too blind, too occuiped with material security that we forgot about the defenseless, the persecuted, the poor, the minorities and those without a voice.

What would Abraham Lincoln do in such a national crisis? Read my blog: www.jeremiahliang.blogspot.com

Thank you for seeing it in a positive light. And the way I intended when I wrote it.

Not for a saviour, but for INTERVENTION because there is only so much the common rakyat can do.

The King, as a Muslim, must realise that it is time to do his duty. And yes, many do not realise that he still has his powers.

All we want it for these games to stop and for all to work together for the NATION.

Thsi is also our proactive action, rather than just sitting and hoping.

Don’t shake tears for me Malaysia
I have tried to vote for change
Believing it will happen in last election
Yet they are others refusing the opportunity

Don’t look so sad Malaysia
You have to suffer the indignity
Causing you a black eye in the world
By the leaders behaving like children

The economy slowing down
Not enough projects to raise the bar
Internal conflicts waging power struggles
On the 3Ps they eye it for eternally

Don’t cry for me Oh Malaysia
I have tried to make the change
The BN coalition leaders never take you
As the cocoon to protect the sun rays

I know the long years
Until the next round begins
There is hope yet
When September comes around

So sing your songs Malaysia
Let the drum beats sway the hearts and souls
For without it the darkness falls
The directionless way we will be sinking
Into the abyss of the dark

Don’t shake tears for me Malaysia
I have tried to make the change
It will happen when others find the truth
Sing your songs we will fight for you
Until the golden shaft of rays shine
Into the bright sunshine

After the land of Sodom and Gomorrah comes Malaysia. Thanks to UMNO!! UMNO has contributed more to the name association of Malaysia to Sodom and Gomorrah than anyone else.

And now, to prove to everyone that they are actually sodomites themselves and incestuous pigs they talk of Malay unity like as if there is indeed any kind of unity to show within UMNO itself. When was it that UMNO was ever united? So if you are not an UMNOite what are you to look at to show you what Malay Unity is all about? Even in Kampungs you will find there is no Unity to talk of. Even within families tehre is so much disunity. What unity are they talking of?

No it is not unity that is what they are talking of. They are trying so hard without saying it, that the Malays see the non-Malays and non-Muslims as the enemy. The demons, the competitors. The ones who are going to snatch the rice in your rice bowl. The ones you cannot depend on to defend your home when it comes under attack.

How can you have a rojak when you separate all the fruits, vegetables and ingredients into their separate constituents? Just as it was asked during the times of the Pharohs, can you make brick without straw? Can you have a Malaysia without the fabric of the various races and religions interveaving into a stronger whole?

Dear Zorro

I fully agreed with Temenggong's comment on July 25 2008 at 2:22pm esp the 2nd para.

What does Tehsin means by dreaming of a Muslim nation and her non Muslim friends embracing the message of Allah?

Can Tehsin be more specific and do you, Uncle Zorro, find this sentence rather odd?

Saya... said...

Dear Chopin and temeneggong,

What is so odd?

I as a Muslim, believe in the message of Allah, that it is for all mankind, and always hope that everyone will embrace it and see it as it was meant to be.

However, Islam does not call for compulsion, and any non-Muslim also has the same rights and needs and concerns that must be respected.

Just look at Kelantan, under PAS and see for yourself if non-muslims are restricted in any way.

I cannot lie to myself that i do not wish for an islamic Nation, because that is the duty of every Muslim.

A true Islamic nation is is one of justice, equality, safety and prosperity FOR ALL REGARDLESS OF RACE AND RELIGION!

There is NOTHING funny or misplaced or sinister about what I said!

Tehsin Begum Mukhtar Ahmad

Saya... said...

Islam IS the official religion in Malaysia, and UMNO, being the party purported to uphold Islam as its religion and speak for the majority of the Malays, instead of justly ruling this nation as is required of Muslims, used and skewed islam and the race issue to the benefit of a few.

And so did the other component parties of the BN.

The MIC didnt do much for the Indians, the MIC was also busy lining the pockets of a few...what is SO BAD about a true and just Islamic ruler where EVERYONE BENEFITS!

Or at least in the current system, the MUSLIM KING should at least speak out against the travesty and insanity that is going on! That is the MARK OF A TRUE MUSLIM!

"The Emperor's New Clothes"
by Hans Christian Anderson
=============================================
http://deoxy.org/emperors.htm
=============================================
Read on....

########################################################
Once upon a time there lived a vain Emperor whose only worry in life was to dress in elegant clothes. He changed clothes almost every hour and loved to show them off to his people.
Word of the Emperor's refined habits spread over his kingdom and beyond. Two scoundrels who had heard of the Emperor's vanity decided to take advantage of it. They introduced themselves at the gates of the palace with a scheme in mind.

"We are two very good tailors and after many years of research we have invented an extraordinary method to weave a cloth so light and fine that it looks invisible. As a matter of fact it is invisible to anyone who is too stupid and incompetent to appreciate its quality."

The chief of the guards heard the scoundrel's strange story and sent for the court chamberlain. The chamberlain notified the prime minister, who ran to the Emperor and disclosed the incredible news. The Emperor's curiosity got the better of him and he decided to see the two scoundrels.

"Besides being invisible, your Highness, this cloth will be woven in colors and patterns created especially for you." The emperor gave the two men a bag of gold coins in exchange for their promise to begin working on the fabric immediately.

"Just tell us what you need to get started and we'll give it to you." The two scoundrels asked for a loom, silk, gold thread and then pretended to begin working. The Emperor thought he had spent his money quite well: in addition to getting a new extraordinary suit, he would discover which of his subjects were ignorant and incompetent. A few days later, he called the old and wise prime minister, who was considered by everyone as a man with common sense.

"Go and see how the work is proceeding," the Emperor told him, "and come back to let me know."

The prime minister was welcomed by the two scoundrels.

"We're almost finished, but we need a lot more gold thread. Here, Excellency! Admire the colors, feel the softness!" The old man bent over the loom and tried to see the fabric that was not there. He felt cold sweat on his forehead.

"I can't see anything," he thought. "If I see nothing, that means I'm stupid! Or, worse, incompetent!" If the prime minister admitted that he didn't see anything, he would be discharged from his office.

"What a marvelous fabric, he said then. "I'll certainly tell the Emperor." The two scoundrels rubbed their hands gleefully. They had almost made it. More thread was requested to finish the work.

Finally, the Emperor received the announcement that the two tailors had come to take all the measurements needed to sew his new suit.

"Come in," the Emperor ordered. Even as they bowed, the two scoundrels pretended to be holding large roll of fabric.

"Here it is your Highness, the result of our labour," the scoundrels said. "We have worked night and day but, at last, the most beautiful fabric in the world is ready for you. Look at the colors and feel how fine it is." Of course the Emperor did not see any colors and could not feel any cloth between his fingers. He panicked and felt like fainting. But luckily the throne was right behind him and he sat down. But when he realized that no one could know that he did not see the fabric, he felt better. Nobody could find out he was stupid and incompetent. And the Emperor didn't know that everybody else around him thought and did the very same thing.

The farce continued as the two scoundrels had foreseen it. Once they had taken the measurements, the two began cutting the air with scissors while sewing with their needles an invisible cloth.

"Your Highness, you'll have to take off your clothes to try on your new ones." The two scoundrels draped the new clothes on him and then held up a mirror. The Emperor was embarrassed but since none of his bystanders were, he felt relieved.

"Yes, this is a beautiful suit and it looks very good on me," the Emperor said trying to look comfortable. "You've done a fine job."

"Your Majesty," the prime minister said, "we have a request for you. The people have found out about this extraordinary fabric and they are anxious to see you in your new suit." The Emperor was doubtful showing himself naked to the people, but then he abandoned his fears. After all, no one would know about it except the ignorant and the incompetent.

"All right," he said. "I will grant the people this privilege." He summoned his carriage and the ceremonial parade was formed. A group of dignitaries walked at the very front of the procession and anxiously scrutinized the faces of the people in the street. All the people had gathered in the main square, pushing and shoving to get a better look. An applause welcomed the regal procession. Everyone wanted to know how stupid or incompetent his or her neighbor was but, as the Emperor passed, a strange murmur rose from the crowd.

Everyone said, loud enough for the others to hear: "Look at the Emperor's new clothes. They're beautiful!"

"What a marvellous train!"

"And the colors! The colors of that beautiful fabric! I have never seen anything like it in my life!" They all tried to conceal their disappointment at not being able to see the clothes, and since nobody was willing to admit his own stupidity and incompetence, they all behaved as the two scoundrels had predicted.

A child, however, who had no important job and could only see things as his eyes showed them to him, went up to the carriage.

"The Emperor is naked," he said.

"Fool!" his father reprimanded, running after him. "Don't talk nonsense!" He grabbed his child and took him away. But the boy's remark, which had been heard by the bystanders, was repeated over and over again until everyone cried:

"The boy is right! The Emperor is naked! It's true!"

The Emperor realized that the people were right but could not admit to that. He though it better to continue the procession under the illusion that anyone who couldn't see his clothes was either stupid or incompetent. And he stood stiffly on his carriage, while behind him a page held his imaginary mantle.

I now know.

You want to know what it is to have the free will that I have to accept or reject your invitation?

You know that you do not possess the same free will that I have. And I also know that once I accept your invitation, the one thing that God has given me that is most precious, my free will, will be gone. How can you even contemplate that I lose it? Just as you have conveyed your wishes, I have conveyed mine. I hope that is fair.

This is why as Anak Bangsa Malaysia I always prefer to leave such wishes, inclinations and invitations out of these blogs. I am with Chopin on this.

Keep your religion to yourself. Everyone should keep their religion to themselves. Many do not even believe in god, chosen people, heaven and hell, or the idea of prophets which I find ridiculouly insane.

Isalm is the official religion of the Federation of Malaya. It is not the religion of Malaysia or Malaysians. We do not care what the Federation of Malaya believes or whether it performs the haj.

Islam should be confined to the Agong's palace (as the head of the Federation of Malaya) and royal rites, as it was originally meant. Islam has no place outside royal rites pertaining to the Federation of Malaya.

Those who wish to discuss about religion should first study Taoism (The Way) to show that they have some basic grasp of philosophies (otherwise its just mere beliefs in superstitions, like UFOs). Thereafter they will learn to hold their silence.

Sorry dear Temenggong, old fart and chopin...

Islam is a way of TOTAL and COMPLETE way of life and cannot be separate from every aspect of our lives like the other beliefs.

Allah created us for a purpose and as with everthing else in this world, we came with a set of rules and instructions, and those instructions are set out in the Quran.

From a to z...

However, there is no Compulsion in religion...as a Muslim, I can appeal to the KING based on his belief in Allah and Allah's decree and punishment that awaits unjust, deaf, dumb and blind rulers!!!

Tehsin,

I feel for you and your passion of Islam. But after reading MT, I realise that a true Muslim should speak out against evil or wrongdoings. But in UMNO, all we see is evil but what happened to the millions of Muslim in Malaysia??? Is UMNO doing the right thing in the eyes of all the other Muslim?

I sincerely hope that Muslim will do what's right since for Muslim, keeping a blind eye to UMNO blatant show of corruptions, murders, extravagance, etc is not the COMPLETE way of life.

Let's hope that in Malaysia, there are more true Muslims than UMNO Muslims.

Saya... said...

Dear Benny,

I am well aware of that...that is why I am asking the King to Speak out, because he is the Head of Islam in this nation against the rot and wrongdoing that is going on.

Umno is not practising islam. It is practising racial politics.

Old Fart said...

Tehsin Begum Mukhtar Ahmad

Unfortunately Muslims have been hounded into thinking that good can only come from another fellow Muslim. This is where a lot of us have problems.

You highlight MIC supposedly to help Indians but a few of their leaders having squandered..and that is why you feel it is for a good Muslim to lead us out of this.

Well, we have presumably a lot of good Muslims in UMNO leading us. But can you name one? If not there, maybe in PKR you know someone. Or maybe in PAS you know someone.

I can offer you Lim Guan Eng from the nons.

Well, after reading the rest of the comments,I really have strong disagreement and odd feeling to your letter.

Hope not offence you ( Me... Only Better )at all.

" Equality, Quality and Sincerity "
toward the country is every Anak-anak bangsa Malaysia's dream.

We are all living in a multi racial, multi religion and multi cutural country ( MALAYSIA ). It's not PAKISTAN, can you tell me how free or safe you can get in an islamic state like PAKISTAN ?

Can you see the diferrences among the country like Turkey and other muslim countries like Iran , Iraq , Afganistan and so on ?

Please do not bring your way of dreaming here.We should always work as a whole not as a "hole" !

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.........
Furthermore,I hope you should realise this before you (Me... Only Better) speak further, although you have your right in this "free space".

In additional,I fully suport those who have secular minded like
" dear Temenggong, old fart and chopin " and so on.

Religion(beliefs and worship) is so "pure and topmost",it's never allowed to mix with any politic that so " dirty and filthy " .
You should also knew that it's a sin to mix them both.

Religious is always in our heart never practice in our mouth.

Again ! We , RAKYAT of Malaysia strongly support a secular equality country.

I am surprised how Tehsin has concluded that the rakyat do not want Anwar. Anwar's team includes Nik Aziz, Lim Kit Siang & Guan Eng, Karpal Singh, Sivarasa, Nizar, Nurul, etc.

I agree with Salia that it is not likely that the rulers will act. Not even when the rakyat is behind him, contrary to what Tehsin thinks.

Let us be realistic. What specifically do you want them to do? Can those things be carried out? Is the army, especially the commanders really loyal to the rulers?

Do you know whose side are the IGP, police, AG, judges, ACA, media, top civil servants on? Who has the bigger network - to mobilise the people (of course the bad guys) or to destabilise the country - the rulers or the Executive?

During TDM's era, they didn't offer resistance to the many drastic changes to the Federal constitution, some of which tie their hands while some are a slap on their faces.

Even Raja Nazrin can only offer general guildelines and drop some hints. Do you think he can go further than that? I hope the people will stop calling on him to become the PM. Not everyone who can speak well can be a good leader. In our present circumstances, the aspiring leader ie PM, must be willing to die for our beloved country.

i like chopin said...

Dear Tehsin

You said Islam is the complete way of life,so the concept of secularism does not exist in Islam.

But our Federal Constitution clearly stated that Malaysia is a secular country.

The word secular appeared in the Constitution. So,do you,as a Muslim, view this Constitution as flawed? And flawed for 50 years?

In other word, you fully agreed with TDM when he declared this is a Muslim country and scared the hell out of foreign investors who dropped Malaysia like a hot potato?

Dear Bernard,
I certainly sympathise with you - having to hold back tears and all ...

I believe this is a pathetic and desperate attempt at an Umnophile at preventing Anwar (who should by right, be the democratically leader) attaining power.

She has declared that PR plans to "unconstitutionally grab power", when it was BN that has "stolen the elections and democracy" (with overturned boats and full-fledged rigging in Sabah/Sarawak).
Yes it was stolen, at the country is held at ransom by a few families.

If she had any common sense, she would've whacked BN for their crime of abduction, instead of pleading for an "emergency/ martial law" through the good graces of the Agung (aka UMNO).

Sad that some people prefer to focus on the music sung by the "sodomists", while they have their fill of SodoMee!

Tehsin said "Islam is a way of TOTAL and COMPLETE way of life and cannot be separate from every aspect of our lives like the other beliefs."

Now that statement has been said so many times before. But really....when was it ever? And everytime you claim that a-z is provided...no, i say, a-z is NOT provided for. You just repeat what someone uttered a thousand years ago without veryfing anything. And political correctness requires the rest of us to shut up and just accept what you say. So you mean to say that driving on the left side of the roads was also provided for? Hey, the Middle Eastern countries drive on the Right, just like the Americans? So how eh? Believe me when I tell you, even God did not envisage the Motor car and he certainly did not say anywhere which side of the road one should be driving. That was all man made! Its just that i don't particularly like people polishing up their positions uttering well meaning sentences that no one disputes only because political correctness stops us from doing so. So i am stepping outside political correctness and telling you please stop depending on these statements to make your point. They just fall flat on me.

Rather,we,unlike you, have that basic freedom to choose our religion and we have many choices to choose from. What is the best for you may not be the best for us.So,we chose what we think and feel is the best for ourselves, not what you think and feel is the best for us.You cannot decide for us because we can decide for ourselves, thank you!!

We have chose well and am happy with our choices.

if this letter was sent to the then agong, the sultan of johor, the writer of this letter will get the beatings of his life for writing a letter which is devoid of any protocol and proper use of language befitting the paramount ruler of Malaysia. think about that. RE READ THE LETTER and make some amendmends before you guys wanna be taken seriously by this Agong.

I think you are the idiot for failings to see what is actually the essence of this letter...and who is the agong anyway but a mere man, respect him as leader, yes, I do, that is why I wwrote from the heart fro my own release... even Rasullulah saw, refused to have anyone idolise him or kiss his hand or greet him by any bombastic title and he is the example ALL muslims should live by...

The King/Sultan of Johor is a muslim and he should realise that RESPECT, LOVE AND REVERENCE are earned, and not a birthright.

The blog piece was just a personal expression on my part and not meant to be formal...and i hate all them stupid formalities anyways...there should not be a barrier between a leader and his people...

the reference to Islam was made to appeal to the King as a Muslim and to the Malay/Muslim fanatics who keep seeing other races as sub human and less than Malaysians!

And if the Sultan of Johor nak kick anyone like a dog for failing to idolize him, he should remember, he will get the biggest kick in Akhirah when Allah the KING OF KINGS BRING US ALL BEFORE HIM.

I weep for Malaysia & all Malaysians. But that's all I, like so many others can do...weep and pray. But what are we praying for? And after so many years weeping & praying my eyes are now no longer capable of shedding anymore tears. And I get the feeling that my prayers have gone unheard. So what next can I do? I've stopped weeping & I've stopped praying. I've started cursing instead. Cursing at all these bastards that run this lovely nation to the ground. And I curse the ONE PERSON responsible for bringing this country to its knees. And I curse NOTHER PERSON & his SIL that have so successfully taken over from the other ONE PERSON who have laid the foundation of destruction. Each day my curses are becoming more severe and cruel and the curses are spreading to the family members and loved ones of these bastards...until eternity and to HELL they will suffer and burn forever and ever. What else can I do? So stop weeping & praying. Start cursing. This may not be a GODLY thing to do. But are these bastards doing any GODLY thing? So join me cursing. If the GODS are not listening and responding let's hope the devils will do something!!

Haaaaaaaaaaaa…………….

Religion is not a product, do not needs any TV , Radio or even written commercial to promote .

Religion isn’t something like washing powder(serbuk cuci)named “cap Parang”, needs a lots of talk , publicity or promotion or free gift given out or discount provided in order to sell up the product.

Religion is so pure and topmost , is not a product indeed. Never mix with politic(dirty and filthy).

Truely god’s believers will not talk about god in his or her mounth always like a promotion’s product.

I pen down for my blog, my own thoughts and desires...I think the main thing, people like Zorro understand what I am getting at...

For others, i leave you to interpret however you wish...

No anger..just tired...and Islam and secularism are incompatible...I may wish for an Islamic state (as a muslim) that is fair and just to all races and religions, but I cannot shove it down the throats of others...what i expressed were my own thoughts and a blog is just that...a free form of personal expression...

What is the difference now anyway? Umno professes to practice islam, and islam is the official religion...the only difference is that Umno's brand of Islam practices racism, corruption and wrongdoing. And that is not the real islam.

i like chopin said...

Tehsin/me only better

I fully agreed with colorsmalaysian and other 'secularists' who commented earlier.

We are equally tired like you.We are sick and tired being treated badly and unfairly by our leaders.
We are law abiding and tax paying citizens. We are born here.We grew up here and this is the only home we knew and the only country we loved. So why treated us so badly just because we are born of different race and religion? Is it a great sin to be of different color and faith?

Tehsin,do you know how it feel to be discriminated in education and career in the country of your own birth?Have you ever experience it yourself?

The reason why we are so angry with a certain part of your letter is because you make a sweeping assumption that we will receive and embrace Islam if only you show a good example as a Muslim.Things are not so simple. It is not that straight forward. We have to take into consideration of other factors first before we decided to accept or reject any faith.

Yes,it may be your blog and you are free to write anything but once it appeared in a blog,it will become public consumption. If you wanted total and complete privacy, write it down in a diary, not a blog where others might see it.

Bottom line is,be more sensitive and considerate in future.Don't just tolerate but accept that others are different.

Honour killing.Female circumcision.Young girls being married off to settle their father's debts.Little children are brainwashed into hatred and take part in suicide bombings. These are what you will see everyday in Muslim countries. Is this real Islam?

The stupid call for hudud laws is not a step forward but many steps backward. It brings us back to the dark ages.Chopping hands, beheading, stoning to death, public flogging.YUCKS!IT SUCKS!BARBARIC AND UNCIVILIZE!ANOTHER SAUDI ARABIA in the making.

That Nik Aziz is another liar.Did we hear him mentioning hudud laws during the GE12?No,only welfare state. That is why we voted Pas in droves. But now he flip flop too and push for hudud laws.He betrayed our trusts, our hopes, our dreams and our votes. Is that real Islam?
