I noticed some of the images you used are from GettyImages. They are copyright materials and you need to pay for them. Please remove them if you have not paid for them as they may issue you a demand letter for copyright infringement.
My company 'kena' before. We inadvertently used 2 copyrighted images in our website. We didn't know about it as our website developer vouched all images used were free materials. They demanded for RM50K. We managed to negotiate down to about RM10K.
So please be careful.

SPLIM, thanks for the alert. I am very aware of this. However, this blog has no commercial value (yet) and thus does not entail any payment to Getty Images. I have in an email informed them of my periodic use of their stock library and have yet to get a reply from them. Does this silence mean consent. I dont know. I will mail them again. May some experts amongst you out there can throw some extra light on this subject. Will greatly appreciate this.
Zorro, your blog may not have the commercial value, but those pictures were submitted by photographers to the image company with the hope of being paid a fee when it is used. I reckon when you use it without permission it is the same as stealing. So it more of a moral question rather than anything else.

The photographer would have assigned his/her rights to gettyimages. Hence, it is gettyimages who is the owner of those images now.

I don't think you can assume that silence means consent. We were hit after more than 2 years and the amount of compensation they will demand depends on the length of time the image is used on your site.
