Raja Nazrin: Respect the law
My 2 cents in red:
Which mob ruled on Saturday? Who used force….we treat our dogs and cats better
AND ABUSED.....
He said in any functioning democracy, there were rules as to how society was to be governed, and in
…..sounds of a broken record….
“Our constitution spells out not only what our rights are but also what the limits to those rights are,” he said in his speech at the 25th Tunku Abdul Rahman Lecture organised by the Malaysian Institute of Management here last night.
The constitution does spell out our rights to peaceful assembly, but the Police Act limits our rights. The Police Act was pushed thru Parliament to protect the governing against the governed.
“These limits ensure that decisions are not made by those who wield the most power, shout the loudest or behave in the crudest manner.”
Weren’t decisions to teargas and spray chemically-laced water made by those who wielded most power….and you were not there to witness who barked the loudest or behave in the crudest manner.
Raja Dr Nazrin said they would only become entrenched and lead to deep social lesions that would never heal.
Did you read Noor Azman’s piece in Utusan?
He said the country had a good system of governance in place that had served it well and Malaysians should seek to improve on and strengthen this system.
I’d rather volunteer a “good system of corrupt governance that had served the governing pack well…….we onery Malaysians are never allowed to improve and strengthen this suspect system. The ISA, Sediction Act, OSA shackled us. So how? Here is something you may not know. When Datuk Zaid Ibrahim was in the Cabinet, he moved that anyone, even after leaving office for 10 years, and evidence of corruption is produced, prosecution would take place. Believe it or not, not a single member in the Cabinet wanted that? No prize for guessing, yes?
Raja Dr Nazrin said that as Malaysians moved into the month when they celebrate the country’s 52nd year of independence, they should endeavour to restore a culture of civility and respect towards each other as they did 52 years ago.
He also touched on the situation in Perak and said he had to be careful of what he said as many issues were still before the courts.
But truth must be told and justice must be seen to be done.
“I nevertheless think I am not giving anything away when I say that what has transpired is something that is beyond unfortunate. It is a situation that must be resolved but resolved in accordance with the law.”
Let’s not flog this dead horse. Even Tun Mahathir said that the way Perak was taken by UMNO was wrong. The only way to right this wrong is to hold an election in Perak. The results are already written on every blank wall in Perak except the Secretariat walls. I wonder who can and should encourage to resolve that situation in accordance with the law. Najib won’t dare! Who then……assiduously?
Raja Dr Nazrin added that the Malay Rulers were above partisan politics, and this was what a constitutional monarchy meant and what the Rulers assiduously believe.
Not Amin but more ahemmmmm to that bit about partisan politics…..
He said the present situation in Perak stemmed from a political problem, that of political crossovers but was very quickly compounded by other decisions and actions of questionable legality.
Paid political crossovers…..and accepting and paying felons to cross over…..I agree about “other decisions and actions of questionable legality.”
In making the right decision in any situation and act in a manner that is fair and impartial, the Ruler must be guided by the constitution that encapsulates all the values that form the very foundation of Malaysian society.
Bukit Gantang proved otherwise.
In the Perak case, the Ruler adhered closely to the letter and spirit of the state constitution, he said. — Bernama
If you say so, Tuanku.

Sorry, kita sudah tak caya sama Raja Nazrin! Sedap bunyi ceramah dia, tapi bila ada krisis, dia sorok di sebalik istana & UMNO! Macam ni kah dipanggil mempertahankan demokrasi?? Nampaknya dia pertahankan periuk nasi dia je (kat Gamuda!).
I think that post the Ipoh fiasco, HRH has lost a lot of credibility with the Rakyat.
His speeched have lost the zing they had before.
dpp
Who listens to him anymore?
When you are one of the beneficiaries of the kleptocracy, of course, you would defend it.
Nobody gives a donkey's arse what that academic fraud says anymore. If you want to preach, practise it first!
NATO!!!!
No Action, Talk Only.
STFU and go make ur pretty wife happy..
I cant stop laughing. He he he.
MASTER someone should ask who is the one person who own's about 20 rolls and bentenlys in ipoh perak,no prizes for guessing. This what we call cakap tak serupa bikin.
Raja Nazrin, it is best you fully concentrate on your family business...GUMUDA WAS NOT DOING TOO BADLY OF LATE...thanks, to your UMNO PM!
If you have lost the peoples' confidence as ruler of the State, it is pointless to preach your hallow political sermons.
Where were you when the people needed your presence and support? Hiding behind the high walls guarding the palace?
I am a Repulican, monarchs mean nothing to me, just fancy dressed parasites!!
Since Perak Crisis, I don't trust the Sultan and his son anymore. Sultan should give-up his throne. Raja Nazrin shall resign as Raja Muda and join UMNO then contest in election.
These two fellows highness are 'cakap tak serupa bikin'.
Dear Z
I think you should find a discreet way to tell His Royal Highness to keep an elegant silence. All true Anak Banga Malaysia are very disappointed with him and the Sultan of Perak for the role they played/did not play resulting in a suspended god forsaken state.
I use to devour any news about about his speeches and commentary but not anymore; I intentionally abstain from reading what he has to say.
The Prince and the Sultan stand side by side with Najis robbing his own state government. How dare he open his mouth again and again. He and his father rejected the wishes of his own subjects. What kind of ruler and future ruler are this ???
For those who really interested how the politics became dirtier and dirtier, should read the story " Animal Farms " wrote by Gearge Orwell.
Politicians can never be trusted.

Tapi bila baca soal jawab di atas menarik juga, boleh buat derama.
i suppose he best serves the country by assuming a professorship and start giving lectures in universities.
Hi Zorro,
Any idea of when the two froggies' corruption trial going to be commenced or have the charges bn dropped?
Agak agaknya Raja Nazrin baca tak blog ni, atau dia cuma baca NST dan utusan sahaja. Kalau dia baca tentu dia faham kerana dia ada seorsng yang terpelajar dan ada PHD.
Tentang periok nasi tu jangan cakaplah, semua orang jaga periuk nasi. Siapa nak miss sorru.
My say in turn -
"Democracy does not mean anything less either. It certainly does not mean a Government is any more legitmate by dubious rule".
Especially denying the Perak people their choice of a democratically-elected Government. And, in case Perak should undergo a stagnant situation whereby there exists doubts who could claim legitimacy on the righful Government, the Perak people should be entitled to cast their choice in the electoral process. And not for anyone else to usurp that function. To express an opinion without due regards to the other side of the equation is at best a misconceived opinion which cannot sustain reason by any reckoning.

Senor,
I anticipated that you will response the way you did when you read this report.
Eat your hearts out, Senor.
As Patrick Teoh says 'Tokkok'!
Who used force….we treat our dogs and cats better
BEASTS!!
Used to think this fler is intelligent, eloquent & handsome.
But guess after UMNO force-fooly wrest control of Perak, seems like this fler speeches are prepared by the UMNO government.
Its quite saddening... a prince has turn into a toad.
Royal wisdom and pontification, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Glory of but yesteryears.
You really are kurang ajar to riducule our rulers advice like this. You ungrateful pendatang. And to think that HRH's forefathers granted your forefathers citizenship when no other countries wanted you.
It is people like you that makes people like us support the ISA. So that we can throw you in there for insulting our rulers like this.
You all have really gone over board.
betul loh ,, gamuda mau lingkup woh
tak tau niaga .. duduk diam - diam,minta vincent kasi no .. tiap-tiap bulan , garanti 6/52 , 6/49
To settle the problem in Perak,it is utmost necessary to hold a fresh election.Let the people decide once and for all.Why ignore this fact ? Let the people be the judge. It is like Jury System.Democracy must seen to be prevailed.
Malay rulers are above politics if they did not get involved in businesses. Otherwise, I am afraid they tend to be bias towards the ruling party. Perak's case is clear as crystal despite all the spin to show otherwise.
Penang has shown open tender and greater transparency did not go down well with businesses used to favouritism.
People go to the streets to demonstrate out of frustration not for fun. The government of the day has to be fair first before the people abide by the rules of law.
The main difference between BN as opposition in certain states and PR as opposition generally is that BN can cause trouble by using the police, MACC and other institutions to do their biddings.
After Perak, Selangor looks next on the list of destabilizing forces which only those in possession of power can effect.
I certainly share your sentiments and frustration or disappointment. Those in power, be they the Monarch or the Ministers including the PM are living on the Eifel Tower and far away from the realities on the ground. The Rakyat is at the losing end of the equation. So everyone learn to exercise your votes wisely.
it's all about the granting of freehold titles to non-malays; who, apparently, are NOT QUITE the royalty's subjects.
oh...sensitive...
"beta mesti jaga hak kaum tertentu...itu termaktub dalam perlembagaan...jadi, beta tak boleh setuju dgn pemberian hakmilik kpd cina dan india...walaupun mereka tu anak warga malaysia...warga perak...
ah..tapi kasi satu gunung sama itu lim goh tong tu takpe...itu boss beta, yakni umno, yang persetujui...pasal ada ganjaran yang amat besar untuk segelintir pemimpin atasan umno..."

This was what Anwar said about the ISA on 24 May 1994 when he was Deputy Prime Minister while officiating a "Mesyuarat Agung Antarabangsa ke 27, Majlis Ekonomi Lembangan Pasifik (PBEC)" in Kuala Lumpur, Anwar Ibrahim said:
“Walaupun keadaan dalam negara sekarang adalah baik, namun tidak dapat dinafikan kemungkinan berlakunya ketegangan. Dalam keadaan seperti itu kebijaksanaan untuk mempertahankan ISA adalah perlu demi keamanan negara. Adalah tidak wajar untuk menghapuskan Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA) yang terbukti berkesan membawa keamanan dan kemakmuran di negara ini.”
On 28th Oktober 1987, Anwar's statement when he was Education Minister on the arrest under ISA of both BN and Opposition members during Operation Lallang:
“The goverment’s decision to ban all public rallies showed that it placed national security above the aspirations of certain politicians and political parties…..The government’s actions were carefully planned and placed priority on national interest not that of any particular group. There can be no compromise on national security in a multiracial country like ours.”
Fast forward to 1st August 2009, this is what Anwar Ibrahim defacto Opposition Leader and wannabe PM said in the anti ISA demonstration:
“We gather today to fight a cruel law under a cruel administration..”
belakang skirt bini lahhhh
Respect must be earned. It is harder to earn when one loses respect. What has happened to you man!
“Democracy does not mean anything goes. It certainly does not mean mob rule,” Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah said.
So what does ISA means?..it is worse than mob rule if you happens to be on the other side.
On ISA protest, oops, it is not even a real protest or demostration. All those people want to do is walk to Istana and hand over a letter and im sure they will disperse after that.
Did any of the protesters misbehave in an unruly manner and damange any private or public properties like those riots elswhere? burning tyres, cars and what not, like in france , for example.
All those who walk are true anak bangsa malaysians of all races and background who want the present gomen to repeal an draconian act that even Islam forbids.
So why use tear gas and chemical water to disperse these people who jsut wanna walk.
Constitutional Monarchy means rulers are suppose to be silence and neutral.
But this son of a gun talks a lot.
Normally his speeches are good but
" Cakap tak Serupa Bikin"
the raja say one thing do one thing, call for election in perak, than i say you are right.
I agree with Lynn. Someone shd tell him to adopt the elegant silence stance. Somebody shd also tell him nobody is listening to him anymore.
Everyone knows all these talks are just bullshit and who doesnt know where the Perak Royals stand on the Perak Coup D'tat.
We are all loyal subjects of the Roylkas irrespective of race and sadly, they only think of their Malay subjects only. Where does us non Malays stand?
Please be a Royal for all races.
Every sane Malaysian will be able to tell you that the MOB is the Police with their tear gas and chemical laced wter jet. I was at the scene and had a taste of both...its painful and hurting but I am gald I took part. We came in Peace but was met with voilence and force.
We are lucky that we, the normal Malaysians are not violent in nature or else you will see clashes and then blood will spill. The MOB (Police) are supposed to PROTECT the people but they are used by BN (with support from Upper echleons) to used force on the people. They are the so called "Licensed Gangsters".
Chinese saying "People Are Not Allowed To Light Lamps, But Authorities Are Allowed To Burn Everything".
Day by day more rakyat converted to the Opposition. Let's make our votes count, BIG time!
Yes you can spew all you like but nobody listens to you anymore. We'll all show you in the next GE what we, the rakyat want and feel. We (perakians) were so proud of you and your father once but thats all been washed clean now.
Jini
What do you expect, Nazrin is reading from a text nicely type out by dunno who.
SHAME ON YOU Raja Nazrin. You only know how to enjoy the your life from the rakyat fruits of labour. And when it comes to protecting the rakyat's right you turned your back. SHAME ON YOU to call yourself raja.
MOB rule means filling up the street and blocking traffic from using the road.
Go find some big padang if you want to have "peaceful" gathering.
No need to disrupt others. They have rights too, and you must respect them. If you don't respect others then we can categorize you guiys as MOB.
don't you think so?
Whatever issue you have, taking it to the streets is a big NO. be civilized la.
Is this the way and mentality to run a country aah?
Anyway the police have given plenty of warnings.
What I see was provocation to invoke police actions and then quickly accuse police acting brutal.
I repeat, they have acted in proper manner in giving warnings not to assemble.ie ( no brutality in giving warnings )
Because there is no such place to handle such crowd other than the road and it is not fair to other road user whom want to use the road for their right of purpose.
So there you are. Didnt your mom teach you not to play on the road.
Go find some padang and do what ever you want.
The police will surely give permission if the gathering is properly coordinated and manage.
JUST LIKE YOU ALL DID AT YOUR STADIUM IN KELANA JAYA OR SHAH ALAM.
So there you have it.
Public is not stupid. We all know what is the real intend, to provoke the police.
Years ago, there's a TV programme:
YOU ASKED FOR IT!!!
anyway what result do you expect from these gatherings?
NOTHING AND POINTLESS.
AND YOU KNOW THAT!
MM
After the Perak incident, I felt really "cheated"/stupid for believing in his previous speeches. Now, I (and many that I know) never bother to read his speeches anymore...
Democracy means using the vilest methods to take over Perak. Ha Ha Ha. Nazrin, thanks for the wise word of advice. Ha ha ha ... he he he...
Anyone can give a good speech, most often written by ghost writers for their masters, but is there conviction to truth and honour. To uphold what is right is most important.
to all idiots and maderfakker..and you, fakking bernard moron khoo... here's my message... use your right at a right time, the GE!! Others need to continue their life and you MF Moron Khoo have no more life, pls for the sake of your mother that put you out to this world...stop your monkey buiness on the street. fcuk your obligations to your kids and g/sons, look at your face, and you call yourself a zorro? LOL. I swear, if i see you i will spit on your ugly face!! post this facker if your balls still hanging there!!
Spot on Zorro, tell it the way it is to him, so that we can see through the bullshit. Patek mohon derhaka.
Shalom,
Admiral Tojo
HOW TO CLOSE A HUGE GAP?
When there's a big gap between what's ideal and reality
All forms of platitude will only be in futility
When there's too big a space between royalty and loyalty
All forms of beatitude will only be in ambiguity

Bro, Tesco Melaka closed for 4 days recently due to H1N1 and BSN tmn. len seng for 2 days. To whom should I advice them to make their claim for lost of business?
Hey Anon 2.40pm, no balls to show your name ah? Dare to call people names but hide yourself. You are the same grade as the speaker who calls for democrazy but the mob....yukkksssss....damnnnnnn!!!!
Salute to you Bernard. I am in the same league as you and will soon join the retired scene and will take active part in politics as what I had done by taking part in the 1/8/09 March agst ISA.
The father and son team are alwyas shooting shit but you both are no longer getting any respects from the people especially from Perak. Talk one thing but do another thing. See what havoc you guys caused? Dont you have any real feelings? Your daugther/sister came out on the Star paper today giving out to the needies...what about the needy people of Perak who wanted TRUE DEMOCRACY?
Be sensible lah...come to your senses lah...at least if you call for a dissolving of the State Assembly now, you will get back your respect. I was taught that you have to earn your respect and not by forcing your respect.
HUMAN BEINGS ARE NOT BEASTS
Don't wrongly learn from the west to apply in the east
By treating fellow human beings as nothing but beasts
Any inhuman treatments of people must henceforth cease
Lest this beastly behaviour fast becomes a disease

This is my message to Nazrin. Stop it. We have had enough of your hypocrisy. The nation has had enough. Pse stop it. I cant take it any more. You let the whole nation down. And you know what? I am doing it with a heavy heart. I feel for Zorro, who had so much faith in you. I feel for the millions who had so much faith in you. I am weeping ...
The greatest hypocrite around.
The way he conducted himself in the Perak ADUN fiasco has utterly discredited himself in the eyes of the Perakians.
"Don't wrongly learn from the west to apply in the east"
samuel goh. are you a nut case ?
who the fuck do you think you are to act in a kurang ajar manner to our ruler?
Inflammatory remarks born out of knee jerk reactions cannot be good for anyone.
http://takemon.wordpress.com/2009/07/29/nh-chan-a-myth-in-his-own-lunchtime/
This particular article demythifies the loud and the dishonourable.
When we willingly and without thinking follow the ideas of those we trust on eithe side of the divide, we run the risk of fighting other peoples battles with our own personal ghosts. Its whats otherwise known as Hyssteria.
Nazrin, your heart is not in the right place. All your academic qualifications will not change this fact.
Furthermore, if you have, in fact, actually exercised your royal power before to sack anyone who has merely displeased you from his job anywhere before, you are yourself actually a medieval tyrant of sorts. There were stories.
The man has lost all my respect for him. Now I don't even want to read what he says anymore. All hypocritical crap.
Horror of horrors, I used to think so highly of him. He got us fooled good n proper. Nobody cares about him or his pontificating speeches anymore.
Just reading the speech I feel malu..the words and action is so far apart. It actually bares all for us to see what is actually inside of him.
Anyway anybody can have a string of Phds. titles or what not but a man is judged by his actions and not his words, and the judge will be the listener.
what do you expect from a person that had change the law so that his son could succeed him after this???
who the next of kin of the previous sultan Idris !?
UMNO just found themselves two new mouthpieces in the father & son.
Anyone would be angry when their wishes does not grant by the higher authority.
The reason is simple why the Sultan does not wishes to dissolve the state assembly.
Because the PR government has lost simple majority in the state assembly. Hold a new election does not guarantee a more stable government... aspecially at a time of perakians angers...
