One hoping for change in Sabah and Sarawak?...one needs to wait till the tropical sun gets cold! The locals are still not ready to lead, the more established political parties from both the present govt and the Opposition are still behaving like grand landlords.... The little rajah Peh Moh is allowed to keep his fixed deposit...unchallenged! The piped pier?...maybe, still sleeping in one of the long houses.
You don’t need to move to secularism to advance this country. Firm religious beliefs in true compliance with the holy books would be fine, because all religions teach us to be good, virtuous, and avoid the sins of theft, debauchery and the taking of lives.
UMNO are nothing more than a bunch of hypocrites who steal, commit unspeakable crimes against humanity and do things that would make the Prophet puke. They control the media and the prosecutory organs, so they do not get caught, and they suppress the truth. These traits are not in accordance with Islam, but they get away with it. Because they can, and they just ignore your rants and accusations.
In the 60s and 70s, the UMNO support base consists of poor and illiterate peasants. Then UMNO invented the crutch which has become like an addiction, and UMNO indoctinates the belief that anyone who tries to take away the crutch should be criminalised. As the support base became more educated, and as more and more Malays go overseas, the indoctrination became less effective, so Mamakthir started another type of indoctrination – the fear of losing one’s identity of race and religion. So UMNO narrowed the confines of what the average Muslim can or cannot do, all in the name of “solidarity” and “unification”. Anyone who goes against this solidarity is an enemy of Islam.
As time wears on, even this indoctrination isn’t going to work, as the world becomes flat, and as more and more alternative media get to report the real hypocrisy of UMNO warlords – boozing, womanising, amassing assets overseas with unexplained gains, billions upon billions of new projects awarded to cronies and relatives without any tender.
Someone is going to wake up and tell UMNO: Why are you committing all these sins if you know that it is against Islam ? When the masses wake up, that’s when a spark can ignite a revolution similar to the likes of Tunisia and Egypt. And this is what is worrying Mamakthir.
Are we in a state of war? Is any country planning to invade us in the near future? Why the urgency to spend RM 6 billion on new navy warships when there are other more worthwhile causes which need this money?
The fact that we are over-paying is one issue and the fact that we need them at this juncture is another. Whose money is being spent? Is Defence Minister Ahmad Zahidi planning to pay for it out of his pocket? If so, then it is no issue but if it is the rakyat's money, I would like to see more discussion on this before any purchase is made.
We the rakyat don't want to see a repetition of the ‘Scorpene deal'. We have enough of mis-management and corruption, perhaps it is time the rakyat made it clear to their MPs that any more wastage of public funds will not be tolerated.
It looks like the corrupt Umnoputras, one of whom (Muhyddin Yassin) was described by the Selangor MB's political secretary as having a shallow intellect, are getting smarter. They must have realised that when they bought the Scorpene submarines, they only got about 15 percent in kickbacks while about 85 percent went to the manufacturers.
Now by this strategy of getting their cronies in Boustead to manufacture the patrol boats, they could increase their loot to about 85 percent. In this case, the amount of money they could steal works out to about RM5 billion and it is about 10 times more than what they stole from the Scorpene submarines deal.
That is why it is not hard to understand why PM Najib Razak sometimes makes threatening speeches and says things like, "Even if our bodies are crushed and our lives lost, brothers and sisters, whatever happens, we must defend Putrajaya."
Yes,indeed you are realistic. BN is still the fixed deposit, be it Sarawak or Sabah. Opposition do not have credible leaders to unseat Taib. Anwar is busy selling his song with Gwo Burne called Teratak. PKR could have a chance in Sabah, but Azmin failed. Taib has got a new wife to garner votes. Her looks can be a vote-getter!
I agree with Anon @ 6.54am. Sabahans and Sarawakians are lost causes, otherwise why would the 1PM be so confident these two states are UMNO/BN fixed deposits? Just leave the Sabahans and Sarawakians to themselves as they don't mind being screwed and sodomised over and over again. God helps those who help themselves.
I have seen many pretty women in my life time and I can say that Taib's wife is not. Just ordinary! Beauty in the eyes of the beholder and this is my opinion.
Beside one can take her as a liability rather than an asset having her campaigning side by side with the hubby.... like dirty old man, gold digger etc...
Okaylah. She's so-so. But her body....You can drown in that cleavage. Shape of a belly-dancer. Dirty old man with a gold-digger and trophy wife. But can he still perform? Imported some more, this old man is not conforming to belilah barang buatan Malaysia. I don't mind marrying her but she has to wait at least 10 years. By then she will be an old hack. Hahahehehuhu.
LOL!!! sounds like 'sour-grapes' aplenty here! I think the woman is stunning, no?
Well, as long as that dirty old man(DOM) is happy to have a gold-digger trophy wife by his side to flaunt her cleavage and it makes him happy, the woman's smart predicted short-term investment, to churn out big gains in under 3-5 years, why not eh?
This reminds me of an Alzheimer's research message via email that read:
"There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2020, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them."
Malaysians know for sure that 1Malaysia is just a slogan. It means nothing because day in and day out we hear and experience racism and fanaticism that occur with the tacit approval of the authorities - some call it legalised discrimination which started from the time Dr Mahathir Mohamad became PM.
No one who came after him had the determination, the leadership and vision to move the country in the right direction.
The Umno half-wits, the racial and religious fanatics, the corrupt and greedy who have no love or loyalty to the country, will not allow any change. But there is limit to all the abuses and corruption, and time will take care of it and those causing them.
If BN and NEP are not removed for good, majority malays will never reform and could compete with others. We have to remove all if not most of the racist, highly corrupted umnoputras and the everlasting relying tongkat to achieve the goal toward an advanced nation.Time waits for no man.Do it in the ballot boxes. We must help to relay useful information or political view to friends, relatives and acquaintance if there are opportunity arose. There are many people don’t even bother to register as a voter or know who their friends and relatives support which political party. Some are reserved to talk for his own known reason??,some don’t have the interest or update themselves in politic.I will normally start with brief and simple discussion with them like the corruption cases, racial discrimination, lop sided judiciary, cops with license to kill ect.It will open up some people’s mind and i managed to get 8 people to register as voters in two weeks.I personally brought them to one of DAP branch. The rest,i just cross my finger that they will register as voter as well.
Dont be a broken record, nothing is gonna change.
