I SAID SO TOO!

ON Tenang Polling Day 30January in my posting TODAY ON THE MATS. I made this comment:

But it sure is bad news for the market....the appointment of a "felon" as Chairman of Felda but probably good ammunition for ANAK!

The appointment of former Negri Sembilan menteri besar Mohd Isa Abdul Samad as Felda chairperson has been unsettling news for the market, says Maybank Investment chief executive officer Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.HERE

Speaking at a forum in Kuala Lumpur today, Tengku Zafrul said a shrinking talent pool could be the reason why top posts in government-linked companies were required to be filled by a bumiputera.

While he was quite diplomatic in outlining reasons for the concern, fellow panelist and National Economic Advisory Council member Zainal Aznam Mohd Yusof put it very direct, saying Mohd Isa's track record of graft had raised alarm bells.

The Umno disciplinary board in 2005 found Mohd Isa guilty of money politics during the party's elections.

“It was a sad day when Isa was appointed chairperson of Felda,” said the economist, who played a major role in the preparation of the Second, Fourth and Fifth Malaysia Plans.

  2. So umno's "Mr Money Politics" is sent in to guard the chicken coop in FELDA? Hahaha!!

UMNO/BN must be so downright desperate having to recycle their old politicians with expired shelf-life, and they expect we the Rakyat to keep maintaining them till their graves? Scumbags the likes of him should be flushed down the garbage trough for good.

What this country needs is a set of bright young politicians with fresh new ideas to move this country forward, not termites ala penguin series!

  3. Hello, somebody has to replace the late Zakaria Deros isn't it? And UMNO needs funds desperately, so who else do you send into a cash bank like Felda?

  5. You only , as other following knee jerkers arer wont to do , only draw attn to adverse market reaction to Isa's appointment.

How about some background ( if you have ie ) on why Isa was ( or has to be ) appointed ?

That would be more on the spot cutting edge Blogging, not an afterthoz or worse childish echoing

  6. Its not like as if our goverment is blind & deaf.... Izzit?

But "HOW" can they in their right mind (if have), appointment a corrupter or whatever name he's guilty of, to such a high position??

Its got nothing to do with 'shrinking pool of talents'. There are many talented bumiputras.

By putting that feller there shows the employer's "understanding" of corruption, guilty of money politics, etc.....

    Who's next?

  7. Zorro,

So what if you had commented and the NEAC members/panelist repeated the same things you've written. The fact remains is the top dogs in UMNO are the lords and they decide what is best for themselves. The rest of us and the appointed members of NEAC or other so-called bodies can go to hell. So what is Zainal Azman helped formulate the 2nd, 4th and 5th Malaysian plan. Did any of the Malaysian plans actually bore fruit??

UMNO can appoint whoever they want to head Felda, GLCs, etc as long as the appointees are part of their alumni. Whether they can do shit is another matter. Period.

  8. One of the most corrupted UMNO politicians in the history of Bolehland...his track records as MB of Negri Sembilan spoke volume of what a rotten bastard this bloody c*nt was!
His appointment as Head of Felda can only made possible in the corrupted UMNO regime...after all, how much better is that UMNO PM?

  11. Anon844 (analytical reader[???])....why Isa was appointed? Ever heard if "gua tolong lu, lu tolong gua".

Old Fart,Anon902 and Jong have analysed well. Anyway, if this blog doesn't satiate your appetite for analytical diet, I suggest you read Utusan. They analyse one thing very well...I dont have to spell it out for you. You could start by reading Edward de Bono's "Six Thinking Hats" for a start.

  13. Is it true Uncle? How come he won Bagan Pinang handsomely?
He garnered the Felda votes. New wife also helping him.
He's just a boy scout who fits in well with the Felda crowd. No airs and graces about him.

  15. I'm very much surprised by fellow panelist and National Economic(NEAC) Advisory Council member Zainal Aznam Mohd Yusof's blunt outburst this time around. I had always thought he's one of those pro-establishment loyalist and has more or less given up on him.

I guess to everything there has to be a limit and for Zainal Aznam, 'enough is enough'?

Good for you Zainal Aznam! I'm glad you finally woke up; I see finally your hair is in place. LOL!!!
    There's hope, thank you!

  18. This is nothing but political appeasement.

Najib needs the support of Isa and his grassroots.

I just hope the settlers will blame the right people if FELDA is run into the ground.

  19. Even TalentCorp, the government agency created in 2010 that is supposed to encourage overseas Malaysians to return home, is headed by a Malay, with an all-Malay Board of Trustees.

That just about sums up PM Najib Abdul Razak's two-faced approach to 1Malaysia, doesn't it? Many now view Najib as playing the good-cop role; while Mahathir, Perkasa and Utusan Malaysia donning the bad-cop apparel.

Just as MCA tries to scare Chinese voters by demonising PAS, Umno plays up the insecurities of Malays by portraying DAP as traitors to race and country. In truth, 1Malaysia = Two-faced Umno.

Cheat me once, shame on you. Cheat me twice, shame on me. Malaysia used to punch above its weight, now it's just a punchline.

  20. NEAC, NEM, NKRA, NKEA and all the other N’s.

They are all nuts. Najib’s nuts.

BN should just forget all those nutty propaganda, return to earth, truth and integrity. Only a nincompoop can beleieve that BN has still some shred of credibility left and that, given time, honest BN folks and their underlings will still be able to do Malaysia a world of good.

Have some sense. Any idiot can tell you the country is in a sh**itty state of affairs.

If I can believe Najib, then I can believe that cows do jump over the moon and that RM8 billion for 8 OPVs is petty cash for MOD and that Altantuya’s real name is Aminah.

  21. Najib administration must be criticized for dropping the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) from the New Economic Model (NEM). It showed a policy flip-flop.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s omission of the panel showed that Malay rights group Perkasa was dictating the country’s economic policies.

I have turned from having faith in the Royalty, Sultan and Agong....to having Ziltch...Zero. I now know their Myth Status among Malays. No wonder so many Malays are having second thoughts on the Agong and Sultan usefullness. ...UMNO uses them Sultan matters for their Sedition and ISA thermo Nuclear crack down when faced with Egypt, Tunisia revolt....... Just wait for the Hunger and Anger Global Food Crisis.....or GFC 2. Meanwhile keep watching those rubbish reality show to fill your gaps in your life..... but true Malaysian will do their little Tok Janggut and Mat Kilau...... take children/relative prisoners in exchange for return LOOT from overseas banks of UMNO and cronies.....

  23. It all started from Perak that revealed their desperation for power and money - yep, ..the Perak Power grab!

Malaysians today have lost much confidence and trust in these so called "leaders/guardians"whom they thought would act in the Rakyat's best interest but it turned out not to be so.

    It's troubling and a shame.

  24. Once upon a time, Isa came to acquire a particular photo and went to see Mr Jibby. Mr Jibby saw the photo and traded a parliamentary seat and lucrative post in the richest GLC (ripe for 'picking') for the photos (Isa stil kept the negatives!).

There was another time, Mr Lee came to acquire a photo that can never be shown in Bolehland and went to see Mrs Dotty. Mrs Dotty saw the photo and pleaded with Mr Lee to make the photo dissappear, so Mr Jibby traded the KTM land in Tanjung Pagar and made other deals to make the photo dissappear

This is how we trade in Bolehland.

  25. It is a common knowledge that Isa has in his possession the photographs and negatives of Jibby's adventure with Cik ZZ (the celebrity singer) at a Port Dickson hotel.

Now he is using it to his advantage.

    Jibby's hands are tied.

  26. "a shrinking talent pool could be the reason why top posts in government-linked companies were required to be filled by a bumiputera"

Hey what logic is that? Small pool means few choices which should imply widening the net which means even if non-bumi, they have to be accepted. If one restrict choice to only bumi, that shrinking talent pool will shrink even further resulting in even less choice.

    Isn't that very obvious?

  27. Anon 9.53PM,

Jibby threatened 'Negeri9' on Perak and if that was to happen, many would have lost power and disappear overnight, no? Where do you think the father's arrogant son will be when he's gone? About time he learn some humility!

This was how trading was done in Perak!
