NOT SPORTING LAH!

ANOTHER Despatch just came in from Hantu: You don;t have to go to Penanti. This is one reason I get upset with him.

This was followed immediately by Nasty Bob;s message that the BN will not contesting Penanti.

No Money or Waste of time or abandoning the BN electorate or because the four factions in Pematang Pauh don't want to give in to each other? Or their election machinery needs piston-change?

OK, OK, I get it now. The PM wants to prove to the people of Perak that he is the people's Prime Minister. For a start he will give the people of Perak what they wanted.....a state election. Better to spend the money for the people of Perak than pander to the whims and fancies of Pakatan Rakyat. Meantime we wait, ok people?

Check out Malaysiakini HERE for the full story......me I am getting dehydrated.

  2. BN not contesting in penanti is for sure or not or just a " play " by bn cause in this few days there seem to be a lot of appearances of truck-load of " frus and polices" in taman ciku and kampung pelet in bukit mertajam and appearances of hugest white tent fully air-con with polices present.

  3. The people of Penanti have been shortchanged.

If there is no independent candidate, then the residents of Penanti have not been offered a choice. The Pakatan candidate then becomes the default winner. For democracy to work well, there must be a choice. Even if UMNO fields a donkey, thats alright, I mean thats close enough to their standard, don't you think?

What about the BN supporters and the postal voters? These people are important to BN-UMNO. This is their chance to try and help UMNO win Penanti so their BN-UMNO candidate can serve them and them ONLY - to hell with the rest of Penanti. They will also lose out on having their potholes repaired and new roads being built within a week.

BN-UMNO is not being fair to the people of Penanti. They will miss out the carnival atmosphere and listening to the Malaysian's version of Ripley's Believe It or Not where the politicians will tell all sorts of weird stories - like the one about a strapping big young man being raped and poked up his backside by a 60+ year old man with a bad back.

Its really fun, these Pilihan Raya Kecil. I have seen whole families go to supper and then attend the ceramahs laughing their heads off at the jokes and antics of the politicians. It brings the families together.

Yes, Pilihan Raya Kecil is always a nice circus and the BN UMNO clowns are really fun. Its so "goooood" to watch the politicians sweat when they visit the local smelly stuffy wet market and shake hands with the stallholders whose hands are calloused from years of honest hardwork. Once I even saw one UMNO leech offer wet-wipes to his boss - an UMNO local bigwig - after he shook hands with a toothless Chinese lady selling taugeh.

Sad isn't it? That the people of Penanti have been deprived of a good show by BN UMNO.

  8. We have a flashy UMNO lover boy, who was willing to spend millions to buy 3 frogs in Perak but, afraid of a beating, willingly concede to PR the seat of Penanti..hahaha! What a farking balless eunuch!
The present mob of UMNO goons have no class and sporting spirit, just arrogance and egoism...just like back room players!

  9. Najib may not be an angel, but he is sure shrewder that Pak Lah & TDM. His ploy is to let the UMNO people in Permatang Puah know that if they don't unite...no support from Najis. The next few days will be a flurry of activities in PP and then by Friday Najis will say that because the PP Umno members have cried out to be allowed to field a commonly agreed candidate, BN will have a nominee for Penanti.
Don't underestimate Najis, he works outside the 'Koran'. He is not like good Pak Lah, a good Muslim scholar but poor PM. Here we have a PM who reads books Zen Tsu "Art of War" and such "secular" strategies is not beyond this PM. We need to re-align our thinking and approach with this Najis

  10. For BN this is the correct move. They got nothing to lose and everything to gain. If they partook in the election, they'd have everything to lose and nothing to gain even if they won the seat.

A smart move on the part of UMNO that does not come out of the UMNO or BN playbook. It is not a decision that is even conceivable by any individual or collective minds of the UMNO supreme council or the BN leadership. Najib gets his counsel from elsewhere! Where?? Can't imagine it would be from Rosmah....so where? His brothers maybe?

But surely this is another decision that is going to piss off Mahathir! Now, to me, that is the greatest pleasure that I shall derive from this decision.

  11. Hey Zorro,

You sure your PR can win Penanti or not?

The people of Penanti have already elected that PKR chap, it just that PKR selected a wishy washy fella.

  12. To bad ..no carnival at Penanti. But wait..why are there reports of BN camps/fru etc?? BN fielding in Independant candidate?
Anyway..sorry to Penanti folks..no federal funds in for the state.
Najib & BN kept the funds for themselves probably saving for Perak's fresh election.

  13. This is just to ploy. BN will sponsor an "Independent" candidate. If she/he loses, BN will not be shamed. But if PKR were to lose, this will spell disaster for PKR. Just watch out, this time Saiful and Gang, Ezam, Nalla, will all be campaigning for the "independent"!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. The mess is too much to handle, has gone overboard for Najib the mastermind of Perak's coup d'etat, it's either to grab on to power in Perak or lose federal in GE-13. Put it simply, 'teloq kecut' lah!

    ReplyDelete
  15. this so-called local popular businessman as independent will get full support from umNo ( but not bn)
& if he wins = PR malu lah, but if he losses = bn tak malu what !

for perak, pm : 'up to sultan' !
he wants Perakians to get angry with HRH but NOT him = smart ah ,this pm !

  16. Dear Zorro

    Here's what I posted at http://kadirjasin.blogspot.com/ and http://syedsoutsidethebox.blogspot.com/

    "Dato

I refer to some of your commenters who have said that the inspirational words of Ghandhi and Churchill do not appply to the current circumstances in M'sian politics and that one should walk away from seemingly impossible odds.

This is nonsensical! There are some universal principles and quotes like Ghandi's and Churchill's which cut across national borders and times.

Another famous quote would be JFK's "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what YOU can do for your country." Is this restricted to the 1960's only?

The decision of Najib and BN not to contest can be likened to the situation a couple of years ago when a 3rd division soccer team had to face Chelsea in the FA Cup semis or finals. There was no way they were going to defeat Chelsea. Should they have given a walk-over?

There was also a famous World Cup Cricket Finals in 1981 when West Indies, having bowled out India for 178, LOST (!!!) from a seemingly winning position. The turning point came when Kapil Dev, India's then captain, took an impossibly brilliant catch to dismiss the rampant genius, WI's captain, Viv Richards.

In such moments of decisive leadership are victories snatched from the jaws of defeat.

History and all legends are full of such incidents. BN has lost an opportunity to at least battle well and receive grudging admiration in defeat which will augur well come 2013. There is honour and nobility to fight for, as testified by the suicidal
    'Charge of the Light Brigade.'

No, this is a massive tactical blunder which calls into question Najib's leadership abilities as have the protracted contretemps at Perak!

In the final analysis, if you are in the field, you must play the game hard. Who's to say BN cannot win at Penanti if they adopt some clever strategy (other than massive money politics).

But, if you don't turn up, you are never going to know. And if Pakatan engineers another 5 by-elections within the law and election rules, is BN going to cry foul and QUIT?"

  17. Bro Zorro,
What a disappointment! I just finished packing my 'barang-barang' ready to go on a short holiday cum 'chemah-hearing'session in Penanti. I was so cock-sure that PM Najib and UMNO 'big-guns' will take-on Penanti By-Election from 23-31 May 09.In fact, I was all 'fired'up' just like the Permatang Pauh election having so much fun rushing from one cheramah to another. Now I have to unpack again to anxiously looking forward for another up-coming By-Election. Hopefully it won't be a long wait as age is catching-up and I am looking for the 'Big Change' in Govt through the ballot-box. Frankly speaking, brother Zorro, attending by-elections is really fun and this is how I would like to pass my days. I hope the BN.Govt will NOT keep on avoiding or running away from facing the people. Tell them please don't make it a habit in giving such lame and bull-shitting excuses. They must 'stand and fight' to the last man standing- Waterloo or no Waterloo. Then we will see who will win in Penanti.

  20. the last 3 by-elections, he only got hold of his batang air but...

his 2 bukit or bolas, altantuya yanked it off!

so every thing & every decisions he make now are... bolaless.

  21. ngtiewley,

Najib has bigger problems than Penanti. There is this Mongolian spirit which has a huge score to settle with him and his friend Baginda Razak. I don't think Najib would risk having Pakatan invoking the name Altantuya during ceramahs in Penanti.

As it is, that unmentionable name was mentioned by our Foreign Minister Anyfart Aman at a press conference in USA! Woohoo! Its worsened the situation now.

While the battle for Perak is still raging, do you think Najib will risk having to fight another front? He knows that BN-UMNO will be buried in Penanti but it will be another nail in the coffin for UMNO in Perak when that happens. Don't forget that Najib appointed himself as UMNO Chief Liason in Perak!!!

And don't forget that Najib has a lot to offer to Pakatan by way of dirty laundry when it comes to campaigning in Penanti. All that Zorro and Gang has to do is to distribute the VCDs of the Perak DUN fracas and guess what will happen to BN-UMNO when others make copies of the VCD and circulate it to a wider audience?

Yeah, and don't forget HINDRAF - they are a force to be reckoned with. Najib knows that HINDRAF will be there in Penanti and what is his cousin going to do? Rearrest Uthayakumar and Manoharan? Kerismuddin would be falling on his own keris if that happens.

There is so much at stake personally for Najib, he wouldn't risk fighting Penanti.

Similarly, he is fighting tooth and nail to avoid a snap in Perak because that would also be his waterloo.

Its no longer just about BN-UMNO, its more about himself. Najib is trying to save his own arse and not UMNO.

So, ngtiewley, sorry lah, you have to unpack your bags, BUT wait, you might just get to travel the length and breadth of Perak attending ceramahs if the Najib finally caves in and goes for a snap.

  23. People, I allowed the comment "bernie bahamas:5:32pm thru to drive home the point the extent some comenters would go just to show their true base self. They take on a false front because they are ashamed of their true self. Probably they cannot reveal themselves for fear that their parents would know the son they brought up was a total failure. By the way "bernie" is my teenage grandson who lives in Bahamas, but loves to come back to Malaysia every alternate year. He is every poarent's and grandparent's pride unlike the imposter who used his name.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Z,

The 'Bernie Bahamas' impostor has another nick which is equally false.

But we know which hole he came out from, don't we. This is a deliberate attempt to ruffle your cape, Z.

RPK's 32 year old son pleaded guilty in an open court of law. So be it. Until and unless I hear otherwise from RPK, the son has admitted his guilt.

So can we now have the real person(s) responsible for Darren Kang's murder as well as the perpetrators involved in the PKFZ RM 12billion fiasco brought to justice as well?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bernie,

zorro, haris, and rpk will probably blame BN for what happened to RPKs son

    ReplyDelete
  26. If RPK's son screwed up, so be it. I don't expect RPK to defend his son, unlike some asshole minister who said his son wasn't involved in the killing of an undergraduate student, Darren, but his son's friends did it; that was his version.

I also recall Tony Blair's son being hauled up by the Metropolitan Police for reckless driving and Tony didn't give a flying fuck if his son was charged or fined or jailed for a week. An offense is an offense.

So, if RPK's son is a criminal, then he should be duly punished. And I don't expect RPK to defend him, no way.

If one wants to argue if the son's behaviour is a reflection of RPK's family values, then let me direct you to the many instances of foul behaviour amongst the sons and daughters of our "respected" BN MPs. I will substantiate this statement - check out the leaked photos in gutteruncensored of one BN minister's son drinking alcohol and screwing around with other VVIPs half naked daughters.

RPK's son being a criminal does not mean that RPK will bring our country into ruin. But having thuggish people in government and ministerial posts will bring our country down.

It doesn't even take to be caught in the act. All we need is some idiot, and thank GOD that guy is a idiot, to admit that the DPM post as per the BN view is a "LUCRATIVE" position. What the hell did he mean by that, I'll leave it to the readers to conclude.
