THE LONESOME JUDGE: BY CHOICE OR BY DESIGN?

I did bestow on him the inaugural "PERFORMANCE NOW FLASH AWARD" earlier this week. Readers have been asking for more information about this lonely man on the lonely bench.

Until he got this award nobody knew about him except a few lawyer friends of mine who did not want to spoil their happy hours in the Oval mixing their beers with (s)lime. However, reader Francis has shed some light on the subject:

Francis said:

Who is judge Ramli Ali, the judge thAnonymousat gave Zambry a stay within 3 hours?

Well, he is a Lingam appointed judge. A former Chief Registrar of the courts. When Lingam was talking to the disgraced Fairuz on how they were to manipulate the judiciary and appoint their cronies into the bench, Lingam said that Ramli was among the three preferred to be appointed by him. The other two were Datuk Heliliah Mohd Yusuf, a former Solicitor-General and Datuk Ahmad Maarop, a former commissioner of Law Revision. They were appointed as directed by Lingam and agreed upon by Vincent Tan and Mahathir on February 1. 2002.
Dear Malaysians, that's the man who gave a ridiculous stay to Zambry
Please expose this and make a post on it. Thanks

And according to MP for Jelutong, Jeff Ooi, Ramli was just sworn in as Court of Appeal Judge some 27 days ago. HERE

  1. Many Malaysians are really disappointed WHY NO CURRENT JUDGES and RETIRED JUDGES(except NH Chan) wish to speak out,not even a word, to save the country from going to the dogs.Like most BN MPs,you guys have failed us too by keeping so quiet.Don't expect our respects

  2. "disappointed" - that's an understatement!!! Look towards Perak, we were 'so very proud' to have a Lord President among us, see what has happened?

  3. There.. I told you all. A fast and furious decision by the appellate court...an instant mee kind of conclusion. The court is the house of bedlam - a mockery institution used by BN over the decades. Did they really change over the years even during Abdullah Badawi tenure? No they never did. Mahathir said that the court decision liken that of playing "musical chair". Of course, he himself is the leading jester, while Najib is the apprentice.

These are supposed to be the next generation judges to occupy all the important positions in the nation judiciary...God helps Bohonland!

Thanks for reminding the forgetful Malaysians about the VK Lingam Tape scandal!

  11. Edmund Bon has an excellent article on why we need to have the written judgements of the Courts available

    http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/opinion/breaking-views/26572-tell-us-why-please--edmund-bon

It has been almost a month since the Courts decided that Article 72 of the Malaysian Consitution does not apply in the current Perak fiasco. As a rakyat Malaysia, I would like to understand the reasoning behind that decision.

  12. The Lingam fella again? Now it's clear as daylight. Like I said before, everyone has a price on his head. I just wonder how much did it cost Umno.

  13. thrashed,

probably they are too embarrassed by their own moronic decisions, no?

else, why the seemingly reluctance in providing the reasoning for the decision?

    IRRELEVANT IRRELEVANT IRRELEVANT?

  14. Is there any reason why we should not perceive that justice is not seen to be done by the judiciary since the exposure of VK Lingam's conversation? So, yes. I believe in the end, Zambry will be the impostor MB until the next snap elections. Hopefully not the next general elections.

I understand what you are saying, but really, a judge who does not provide a written judgement is a discredit to his fellow judges and a disservice to the rakyat.

  19. Here's the reason I think why Ramli has to sit alone:

The UMNO Chief Justice has to reserve Datuk Heliliah Mohd Yusuf and Datuk Ahmad Maarop, the other 2 judges appointed by Lingam for good use in hearing the appeal brought by BN against the High Court declaration that Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin is the legitimate MB of Perak.

  20. Ramli Boy,
You have lost the respect of the majority of Malaysians. That is why I refuse to address you with a Mr in front of your name. You don't deserve it. You have sold your dignity and soul to the devil. I am NOT at all surprise as you are a by-product of the drunkard pariah lawyer Lingam. You broke your sacred vow in dispensing fairness and justice. Your conscience will forever haunt you, That is, if you have one.You have drag the entire justice system into the drain. Anyway, looking st the present situation in the country there is already a break-down in law-and-order.The rakyat has lost confidence in the judiciary and the executive, what more the enforcement units like the PDRM.

  21. and we wonder why they have a NFA with the Lingam case. Almost everybody aassociated to it is cleared of wrongdoing.. with video evidence and what not even. That is the power of distortion.

    Ramli burger?

  22. Very well to critise RAMLI ALI. Give the man a chance. Send all the emails to his house or email address so that he knows what the public thinks. Then he can come out to defend his actions/decisions (i.e. if he has the b..ls) and then we will "really know who RAMLI ALI" is!

  23. This is what happens when you appoint a burger seller as a Judge.

Flipping burgers and dispensing justice are not quite the same, ya?

A Judge can make good burgers, though.

  26. bet my last dollar there will be no reasons proffered on his moronic decision. just like the Federal Court decisions.

Even a novice knows that their decisions cant withstand any scrutiny and indefensible.

Ramly burgers and IRRELEVANT, IRRELEVANT IRRELEVANT are birds of the same feather?

  29. Notice how the MSM keeps refering to Zambry as the Menteri Besar?

They and Datuk PhD are sure taking a lot of liberties in intepreting the CoA's stay order. I intepret it as Contempt of Court.
