“If you have always believed that everyone should play by the
same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you
labeled a radical 60 years ago, a liberal 30 years ago and a racist today.” Somebody
called Thomas Sowell said that.
Me, I don’t give a flying fuck about rules IF
those rules – TO ME – are unfair! Key operative words “TO ME”. If you think the rules we have are fair you have every rat ass right to push your overweight and over-lapping carcass around. But if you come up TO ME and attempt to stuff this trash talk down my gullet, I will allow you to kiss my ass and get euthanasiatically martyred. “Why so rough?” you might ask. Dang, show me a smooth sandpaper!
So, can rules be unfair? If your Pa made those
rules and you reckon they are fair because he said so, you deserve to be your
father’s son until you find out he is not your Pa just because your Ma “openly”
consented. It is not important WHO ruled that you must obey that rule. What is
important is “IS THE RULE APPLICABLE TO ALL”? If it is not applicable to ALL,
it is unfair……TO ME…..and I act accordingly…..
In early October 2008, after the global crash I got a gentle reminder about my insurance and road tax renewal. Cars below 2000cc could get cash (RM165) subsidy thru Pos Malaysia. My 940GLE did not qualify and there was an extra loading for insurance. This rule was not applicable to all!
Some privileged did not have to pay for gas and insurance. I joined the privileged. Since then I have not paid for my road tax and
insurance. There is a good downside though. I used to collect a good amount of
traffic summonses. In one trip to Penang and back I accumulated 9 summonses. Since
October 2008 I have not received a single traffic summon!
Since October 2008, I
religiously obeyed all traffic signs and adhered to speed limits! You could say
I was a highway example of courteous driving. If everyone drove like me during the festival
exodus, you would not have those sure-dead safe driving drives that annually
challenged this year’s death-rate against last-years suicide achievement. Of course
I was pulled aside during traffic roadblocks and some unusually alert matamata noticed the color of my road tax sticker! I have always got off with a promise that I would be doing the right thing the next day. How I got off cannot be shared here…..maybe later. No, I have never bribed a cop although in those early days when we had just two wheelers and the cops usually preyed on us we used to wear badges that said: DO A GOOD DEED, BRIBE A COP.
I have never, repeat, NEVER bribed a cop. The 3 Ps usually get me off….Poise, Personality, and that thing a former teacher of mine called PLUS…..that stuff that wins a wink! But on occasions I have openly given as much as RM20 to cops who do not waste my time. These are cops who stop you and immediately write out your summons without the usual ritual of delaying tactics until we initiate a deal. I usually tell these cops go buy something for the kids…..they deserve treats because their Pa was honest!
Dang! I just checked that my driving license
expired 3 months ago. I will have to renew this. Although Rosie jets about I know
she has a licence to drive.
NEXT: (and soon) HOW A
GROUP BROKE RULES FOR THEIR FRIENDS….AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Hey Zorro,
ReplyDeleteGood to have another post from you.
It shows that you are still kicking and being a general nuisance to UMNO/BN. :)
Look after yourself, buddy. We are going to need all the help we can get in about 4+ years time when GE14 rolls around :)
Najib has built up a reputation as a big spender, using public funds in a manner that sometimes invites public criticism. Some news portals have emotionally panned him – and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor – as “spendthrift”.
ReplyDeleteIn many Parliament sessions, questions have been raised on various aspects of his spending, including the utility bill for his official residence Seri Perdana in Putrajaya, his use of government aircraft for official business, his penchant for using consultants and the mammoth budget allocation for the Prime Minister’s Department.
People need to know how taxpayers’ money is being spent. However, there is no full access to information on such spending. The only source so far is parliamentary meetings, and opposition MPs are playing watchdog to the hilt.
Transparency International-Malaysia secretary-general Dr KM Loi says while he presumes the government’s spending can be justified, he urges the government to adopt an “open government partnership”.

Sir, you are too polite.. I used to be cross with my journo colleagues in NST who started their morning with the unprintable words, now I know why! As I am mindful of my heart condition a few choice Malay versions have now peppered my many comments. I cannot blog because of time constraint BUt I hope you will continue to delight us with your fiery barang of `I don'ts'.
ReplyDeleteFor I could not keep my cool when ROSakMan think the world is her playground at our expense and NajiBoRos could label evasive taxpayers as `pengkhianats' when its ok for his wifey to jet around at RM half a million, stayed in hotels @ Rm 100k per nite and swear by Tun Razak's grave a planeful of shoppings!
She's happy! BUT we are hopping mad, we deserve the free electricity and water too as they toted up free (rent+apiair) of RM 2.6million excluding petrol! And they put the blame on the dignitaries visits!
Have we come across a couple of knaves the likes of these two unrepentant bin Tun Razak and shameless hussy, trying to be a `lady!'
I'll check Friday if endearing late TunR had turned in his grave. I owed him tons too bad his son OMG!
Your take care Sir, of the BP, best regard to you and family.

ReplyDeleteSo good to hear from you.
I like the title of your post, fiery as usual. Just curious at the literary meaning of it ... how does one do it suspended in mid-air ...
Looking to read more on your private - public space here.

Why must they demolish the relics of Hindu shrines/temples in Lembah Bujang?
Is this another attempt to wipe out the past Hindu civilization off the face of Malaysia just to conform to revised history books?

How low can MCA go? Wee asking for crumbs fr UMNO? This shows the dire straits that MCA has sailed into. This is due to the rot that has set in more than 20 years when (1) past to present MCA presidents (and its ministers included) has absolved their duty to stand their ground when UMNO made unfair demands (2) Giving in to UMNO due to greed in exchange for positions and projects instead of doing their duty to defend the rights of all Malaysians. If MCA has now get accustomed to this slave mentality instead of standing on equal footing then MCA might as well tau-pau as this bunch of "ENUCHS will not dare to rock the boat. "Shame on you MCA!

So what is the home minister going to do with all the Iranians in Malaysia? Why not send them back since they are from a country practicing Shiitism.

While we patiently wait for Zorro;s next posting, here is a good article by Mariam Mokhtar on 'Debunking the Umno Baru myth':
ReplyDeletehttp://hornbillunleashed.wordpress.com/2013/12/18/54395/
The latest Merdeka Center survey has shown a sharp decline in PM Najib Abdul Razak's popularity, dropping to 52% compared to 62% earlier in August this year.
ReplyDeleteHa ha!
ReplyDeleteNajib has described MCA as a flaccid dick in need of Viagra!
Quote of the month:
ReplyDelete'No matter how much Viagra MCA consumes, it is of no use to them because MCA is already castrated by Umno for many long years.'
Salam Cikgu, Here's Wishing your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

ReplyDeleteHave yourself a very Merry Christmas!

The Heat has done a good job in highlighting the squandering of public funds by the prime minister and wife for public scrutiny. But it has, undoubtedly, been an intolerable act of crossing the red line in the eye of Umno-led government. Under intense competition, traditional media will occasionally be "brave enough" to highlight one or two controversial issues and carry critical comments on the power-that-be, as a way of beefing up sales.
ReplyDeleteBe that as it may, there has been an unspoken practice among traditional media to avoid criticising "powerful" members of cabinet such as Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister as well as the Home Minister (and his deputy), who are key decision makers in determining the life and death of a print media.
Before the general election, the government pledged that prices of goods would not go up but after the May national polls, they are seen as trying to reverse those promises. So it is a normal reaction from people on the ground to gather to voice their unhappiness and it should not be viewed as an attempt to topple the government!
ReplyDeleteInstead of spending money for PM/1st Lady Private Jet, the money should be used to replace the aging Nuri helicopters of TUDM as we should not sacrifice the lives of our pahlawan as we have witnessed many Nuri crashes!
ReplyDeleteThe 36-year-old stepson of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has reportedly purchased a US$33.5 million (RM110 million) condominium unit in New York.
ReplyDeleteRiza Shahriz Abdul Aziz, the son of the prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor from an earlier marriage, bought the property at West 63rd Street in Park Laurel, New York, according to Sarawak Report.
47% of the Malaysian voters were being sweet talked by UMNO to give them their votes during GE13. Today UMNO is repaying them by raping their pockets. The rapists from Putrajaya are telling all to work together with them, enjoy the rape instead of screaming "NO" or "STOP". We, from the 52% who did not vote for UMNO during GE13 could see it coming and try to warn as many of the 47% so as not to believe UMNO sweet talking promises. What we have today in UMNO is a totally corrupted, self serving, shameless racist government in Putrajaya. I hope their hands will very soon get chop off so that the national treasury can be preserved before it is too late.

Stirring racial hatred and unrest and fanning the flames of religious bigotry helps keep the Ketuanan Melayu UMNO Malays in existence and power. Whether UMNO is in control, post GE 13 or out of the power equation, a likely post GE 14 scenario, they will continue to sell the idea that the non Malays and the non Muslims are the eternal enemies of the Malays. Again, Shuhaimi Baba’s Tanda Putera comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteAlways the backward race that they are, the Malays will be forever fearful they have nowhere else to turn to but UMNO to ensure the survival of their agenda – 1Melayu 1Agama, 1Bangsa dan 1Negara. Mind you, this godforsaken slogan tells us that this wretched Tanah Melayu country belongs to no one else but the Malays. Your loyalty and patriotism as a non Malay or second class native bumiputra is of no value and consequence here. Lately you have another Siok Sendiri project in Zahara Sulaiman’s Nam Tien. http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/print/sideviews/the-pseudo-theory-on-origins-of-the-malay-race-lilianne-fan. They want us to believe the Malays are now Allah’s Chosen People. They are Prophet Abraham’s direct or indirect descendants now. Are we to carry on calling god by name of Allah, they are telling us. It subtly tells us Allah is not ours to call. They are the anointed ones. We are the step-children.
The psyche of the Malays, always engaged in a siege mentality as if the whole world is up against them. is forever ingrained with a sense of insecurity as only UMNO alone can ensure their survival. Ever wonder why UMNO keeps them subservient and enslaved to their Special Malays Rights or NEP handout mentality. That’s the modus operandi for UMNO to play on their minds. Playing racial politics and using Islam as a bait, UMNO ensure the automatically Malays flock to them and such issues often always afford the warlords the opportunity to divert public attention away from their own endemic corruption and abuse of power on an individual and collective level.
A good example is the Allah controversy. Notice nowadays nobody talks of Ajibaba’s involvement in Altantuya’s murder over the RM540 million Scorpene commissions scandal anymore. Even Teoh Beng Hock’s demise post GE 12 is yesterday’s old news. The latter involving of course AhCheatKor, the ex Selangor MB Khir Toyo and the MACC in their botched attempt to topple the PKR Pakatan state government. Closer to home, they are plundering our oil and resources right at our own doorstep, and even have the audacity to come into our house to tell us not to pray to god calling him Allah. Allah belongs to them as well.
Here is my feedback on the so-called 11 steps to cut cost in Putrajaya.
ReplyDelete1) Cut to the entertainment allowance? The correct cut should be to abolish entertainment allowance. Government is not in the business to entertain. In fact, in many instances, businesses who want to deal with Govet does the entertaining. Why does Govt have to entertain?
2) Tolls allowance. Abolish!! Suffer the same pain as all of us in using the tolled highways.
3) Decrease in electricity utilization?? For heavens sake, just Sri Perdana alone rakes up millions per month. A cut of up to 90% is more realistic. What in the world are they doing there using so much power? In some countries, such power consumption is indicative of dadah processing going on in the premises
PDRM, for the sake of your credibility, please stop making second false accusation, right after you made the first one. Please safeguard the interests of rakyat (i.e. the dissatisfied voice of increasing cost of livings) instead of interests of government which fails on financial management. The government is elected by rakyat: rakyat has the rights to voice out during this 5 years to ensure good governance. Else, do you mean government can go extremely corrupted during the tenure, but rakyat can only voice out during the election? Please think again, what is a role of public servant: to serve the public, not a servant for government.
ReplyDeleteThere are no rules in cowboys towns. Anyone can come into the neighbourhood, perform some activities that could endanger your health and threaten your life but you can't do anything to stop them.
ReplyDeleteNetizens have made known to PM Najib that they are unconvinced by Putrajaya’s cost-cutting measures to practice more prudent spending in the new year, with many lamenting over price hikes of goods and services. Many have said that it is ministers that should start the ball rolling by implementing cost-cutting measures and austerity drives instead of squeezing the people. But BN did not give a damned fcuk at all.
ReplyDeleteUmno state liaison chief Datuk Seri Noh Omar should take note that he will not get a single vote from the non-Malays the next time around. This clown does not understand that it is not merely a fight with the Christian community but also all other minority communities in this country. IT IS ABOUT MINORITY RIGHTS AND THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS THAT IS BEING TRAMPLED UPON. Well, I doubt this clown will ever understand a word about human rights.
ReplyDeletePenang Chief Minister bought a Mercedes Benz S300L and opted for a 2012 model because he could get a tax exemption as well as a discount of RM100,000 from the dealer for clearing old models and he got lambasted left, right and centre. The critics couldn’t care less that he once was caught stranded at Karak Highway at 1.00am in the morning after a political function in Kuantan and luckily for him, the MP for Bukit Bendera then, YB Liew Chin Tong (now MP of Kluang) was about 15 minutes behind in another car. No, they have to whack him good for buying a new car to replace an old Mercedes S320L bought in 1995 by his predecessor Koh Tsu Koon.
ReplyDeleteYet the critics remain silent about another Chief Minister using a Rolls Royce as an official car. In fact, the Rolls Royce even fly the state flag which is against protocol as only head-of-state ie Governor is allowed to fly the state flag on their car!
And the critics too remain as quiet as the church mouse that this same Chief Minister has a Cessna Citation II at his disposal or the Chief Minister of a neighboring state leases a Boeing 737BBJ each time he flies overseas….
Such are the abuses… we even hear of an ex-defense minister who used to return to his constituency in Bagan Datoh in a Black Hawk on most weekends. And a Home Minister regularly hires a helicopter to return to Sembrong…
When will all these abuses stop Din?
Have these people thought how the folks (irrespective of race) in the cities and big towns are sweating blood because the school bus operators have increased RM34 per student wef from yesterday? Or the electricity tariff has shot up by 4.9 sen per KWH unit or 15% since 1.1.2014?
Do you remember?

No, I really don’t see a pattern here to justify racial profiling, do you?
So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly
fanatics and bigots intent on killing us, airport security screeners
will no longer be allowed to profile certain people.
Absolutely No Profiling of Arabs, Muslims and males!
They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old helpless old ladies on wheel chairs,
little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents
who are members of the President’s security detail, 85-year old
Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner
and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males
alone lest they be guilty of racial profiling.
Have the American people completely lost their Minds, or just their power of reason?
Let’s send this to as many people as we can so that the
Gloria Aldreds and other stupid attorneys along with
Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense,
feel ashamed of themselves, – if they have any such sense.
As the writer of the award winning story ‘Forrest Gump’
so aptly put it, ‘Stupid Is As Stupid Does’
Each opportunity that you have to send this to a friend or media outlet…
Do It! OR SIT BACK, JUST KEEP BITCHING AND DO NOTHING.
The sad truth is if you are boarding an airplane and a airline passenger, you should be wary of the other passengers around and about you. Are they bearded like Arabs, Muslims and males. It is better to be safe than to be sorry.

Syed Mokhtar will gain control over the supply of kangkung and prices will go up tenfold very soon. Malaysians, better enjoy kangkung belacan while we can still afford to do so.
ReplyDeleteMarie Antoinette retorted to the hungry citizens "Let them eat cakes", and so stirred up the French Revolution which ended the aristocracy. I sense history will repeat itself to the kangkong regime in Bolehland in the not too distant future when rising prices begin to bite!

A logical consequence of political leaders, not excluding apanamas, living in a world of make-belief and denial of facts, employing all institutions they control for enforcement of what is manifestly not consistent with the Constitution, which is the supreme law of the country. When every wanton racial, religious instigation does not produce violence, it becomes mandatory for cohorts wearing different caps to create situations such as the banners outside the church, hurl molotov cocktails, and strive to appeal to little understood reverse psychology for credibility. Never should the standing rational non-violent response of Christians be mistaken for a lack of conviction or determination to continue to observe their time-worn practices. Christians are made of sterner stuff, and will not be cowed under any circumstances by religious bigots and the apanamas in our midst however loud their rantings or however forceful their enforcement.
ReplyDeleteUmno has lost the plot and will be consigned to the dustbin of history. Globalization is the way forward. There's no such thing as kenang budi in politics. The only majority or minority that matters in a democracy is that in the legislature, not in the population or the streets, as otherwise it would be tantamount to Apartheid which has been outlawed by international law. While the majority in the legislature has the right to rule, the minority -- the losing votes in a seat in the GE -- has the right to be heard. All politics is about the restructuring of power and the restructuring of the allocation of resources. There must be Rule of Law, human rights, checks and balances, separation of powers, public accountability, transparency and openness. There must be a regular change of government failing which the people would have lost their sovereignty to a handful of criminals. Man does not live by bread alone.
ReplyDelete52% of Malaysian voters wanted YB DSAI to be the Prime Minister of Malaysia during the 13th General Election, while less than 48% voted for the Barang Naik, Corrupted Government. That speaks volume of what voters want and Kajang Voters are no exception. As to that Senator clown Nallakurappan who wants to stand against YB DSAI in Kajang, you can try but be ready to lose your deposit. At the end of it all,it all boils down to playing up issues like Sex,Sodomy and religious issues, which Malaysians are fed-up with.

ReplyDeleteAs a muslim, I strongly protest and suggest the majority of muslims in this country should stand up and tell this so called self proclaimed Muslim NGOs not to champion Islam in the wrong way. This country has and thousands of ulamas and ustaz who are doing a fantastic job potraying Islam as the most tolerant religion on earth. And, here we have thoss racist groups, for their own interest blasting openly in the main stream media certain section of the people of this country. Now, who gave them this rights. They are doing it openly in the main stream media and it looks like they are singing some strong party's agenda openly.
ReplyDeleteHow come PDRM, is not calling them up for further interogation before things get out of hand. The PDRM should act professionaly and not just target the opposition. Openly saying, 'a volcano is going to erupt' is a grave threat to the Malaysian public. These people ought to be arrested and charged under sedition.
