BREAKING NEWS
2 DAP volunteers were detained for questioning and remains in the Tenang Police Station in Tenang Station. It has been over an hour since their detention. They went to make a police report on phantom voters.
VOTE BUYING IN TENANG?
When FMT surveyed a table in the school hall, there was a torn-up cash cheque of RM3,000, which was not addressed to anyone. On it was written: “MCA cawangan Tenang”.
HERE is the story.

BN Fears……
But BN is harbouring a new fear: a “whispering campaign” is making the rounds among Malay women and this may cause BN significant votes.
The Malay womenfolk are apparently unhappy with BN’s character assassination of PAS candidate Normala Sudirman. They are whispering their displeasure into the ears of their husbands who in turn may be casting their ballots for Normala. (FMT)

5:00pm
Polling ends. Counting is expected to begin in
about an hour. EC expects results to be out by
8pm.
4:43pm
Arif: On the way to Felda Tenang BY BOAT.
4:40pm voters turnout is at 68.68% or 10,133 voters.
I have reservations about the reported 65% voter turnout. Many polling stations have been cut off by flood waters and boats have just been deployed.
4:20pm
Arif: urgent boat rescue required at Jalan Ah Kiang near Payah Merah....
Please....if you can help alert the authorities.
4:19pm
Arif: Felda Tenang is totally inaccessible by vehicle. Voters can park at Payah Merah and army transport by BOAT is available. Syabas Tentera.
4:15pm
Shang: 52% at JKK Labis.....total voters 1274. Everybody is soaked....and I am looking for a modest location to pee.....if my pants is wet, as it is already, you know I had to take emergency measures.
Shang....do what comes naturally in such unnatural situation.....cheers buddy.
412pm: YB Salehudin Ayob just walked in. He tells me that 65% have voted....despite such harsh conditions. He also tells me that EC need not extend time of voting! Thats pretty harsh!
4:10pm
Arif: Police need to be called to man traffic 2km before Labis. Anyone staying near the Labis police station please relay this urgent news.
4:05pm
The flood has cut off the SMK Kamarul Ariffin, the polling center for Bandar Labis Tengah from the town area. Those registered to vote there are not able to vote at this time. The situation has not improved.
3:58pm
Arif: Road from Muar into Labis is cut off.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL ME.
I HAVE TO HANDLE SMS FROM ARIF AND STEPHEN AND WILL NOT BE ANSWERING ANY CALLS EXCEPT FROM OUR TWO ON THE ROAD.
IF YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING UPDATES FAST ENOUGH, BEAR WITH US AS WE ARE NOT WORKING UNDER IDEAL CONDITIONS. A BIT OF HELP WOULD HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE.....BUT WE WILL DO OUR BEST WITH WHAT WE HAVE....THANKS TO ARIF AND SHANGHAI.
+++++
TURNOUT OF CHINESE VOTERS IN LABIS TOWN IS WORRYING DAP. YB TEO'S TWEET IS URGING THEM TO COME OUT.
+++++
3:40pm Received this SMS: Agi Idup, agi ngalaban. May Allah bless you and your friends. Thank you 0127628926
3:36PM
Shang: Police wont allow us to proceed to Kg Redong, Pekan Ayer Panas.....road is blocked. I am knee-deep in water.
+++++
This by elections should be stopped until FAIR conditions prevail. I have received sms on discrimination in transporting voters to poll stations. SEVERAL POLLING STATIONS ARE INACCESSIBLE. THIS IS NOT A FAIR BY ELECTIONS AND THIS IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE DEPENDENCE OF THE EC ON THE BN. Pakatan Rakyat must initiate a protest to the EC to stop this travesty.

3:30pm
Whilst Arif and Shanghai find their way around HERE are events as reported by Malaysiakini early on.
3:35pm
Shang: I am going around in circles! Need GPS badly!
3:32pm
Arif: Chemplak Barat turnout 63%...official.
3:20pm
Shang: Extension of voting time on sms is a hoax. Hishamuddin also caugh in this crawl. He came out of his car waving....no kris.
3:10pm
Shang: i cant move....news that a bridge collapsed near Bandar Labis Tengah.I am turning back to Labis town.
++++++++++++
TODAY, i experienced Murphy's Law (what can happen will happen) from the word GO. Arif is overing the Tenang district and Shanghai from Sawar Baru to Chemplak.
At the DAP centreI lost connectivity.....the phone just went kaput.
Am now at the PAS media centre and we are ready to roll. The rain of course has not abated. Arif could not get out from Kampong Redong as a tree got uprooted. The army is doing all they can to clear the road. Shanghai is completely drenched but carrying on.
WHAT THEY REPORTED EARLIER
Arif: At Tenang Station turnout was just 12%.
Shang: caught in a massive crawl and just arrived at Bandar Labis Timor....voter turnout less than 15%.
Arif: Sawar Baru main road is not accessible....flood at chest level and inaccessible to passenger cars....thank God we have Desmond's Discovery. Voter turnout seems to be some 60%.
Shang: I can't move. Watching a good smaritan untie five cattle that would be drowned if not for this stranger....locals say he is not owner of the cattle. Good omen?

Your dedication and stamina are wondrous to behold, all of you! Thank you for keeping the momentum going, Special Bunch. It's raining non-stop here too, and we are praying for a miracle in Tenang along with you.
ReplyDeleteOOooiii ZORRO,
ReplyDeleteDon't try to COPY CAT 'Anil Netto' with your LIVE feeds lah. You're such a CETAK ROMPAK BLOGGER lah.

mamanview
thanks so much for the hardwork. may god bless you, dear zorro.
ReplyDelete:)
Yeap...you are sure RIGHT, Zorro.
ReplyDeleteKY is indeed a lubricant & it's a lubricant to insert PAKATAN RAKYAT's hole.
Don't bother blogging about TENANG. It's a SURE win for BN lah. However, I expected you to be a little bit CREATIVE & ORIGINAL to give updates on TENANG but sadly you conveniently used the CETAK ROMPAK ANIL style.
Nice try but do try harder. Cheers!
KY Ong, what's wrong with Uncle Z's live feeds?
ReplyDeleteNot every one will read all blogs, like you.
So, I appreciate and thank Z for this.
Hi Bernard,
ReplyDeleteI would just like to say thank you very much for all the hard work that you and your team have done for us in Tenang. Whatever the result is, Cikgu Mala is an ultimate winner as she has won respect from Malaysians across the nation and abroad given that the conditions were so harsh for her to compete with. It is more important to win the respect of the people than to win the game without dignity.
Cheers,
Serene
So how ZORRO???
ReplyDeleteBN won & won by BIGGER majority??? Are you sad & disappointed???
It's OK. Next time just stay home & watch TV. I don't think you can take another defeat come Merlimau.
Didn't I tell you that your Mala will be buried by her husband's MC fiasco? Gong Xi Fa Cai, Senor
ReplyDeleteWell done master hope to meet u in merlimau,tq sir.
ReplyDeleteHidup BN!
ReplyDeleteThe people of Tenang have decided.
KY, truly sad to have Chinese rat like you...nothing to contribute go KY someone assloh....
ReplyDeletezorro,
ReplyDeletewhy bother with that biadap KY? in cantonese saying, "no home teaching". terribly brought up and stinks like UMNO.
thanks for all your efforts. Chin up coz the big fight will be in Sarawak. If chinese vote swing continues, SUPP will be no different from Gerakan. UMNO will then shit in their pants coz without their fixed deposits in East Malaysia, the hold of Putrajay may just break.
Cheers Zorro.
BN Gagah,
ReplyDeletewe are made of strener stuff than you think. if we lose, we take it on the chin. We dont rant and rave and give threats.
Dont be cocky in your own den. You dont know whats in store outside. Remember when you lose, take it on the chin like us.
Z
ReplyDeleteCouldn't join up with you... unexpected delay from IndoChina...it's time to re-organise for Merlimau...
Let BN thinks that they are the better side now, we will give them hell in Merlimau...
Till then...g'nite Z, Shang and Arif...whereever u are (in Labis)...
Thank you for the dedication and hardwork poured in .
ReplyDeleteWe must remember to thank all voters who voted for PR even when we lost the battle.
There are more battles ahead and Tenang is just one of the many.
Lets wait for the grand finale , the snap election.
Time to head for the bar and down a pint or two. Perhaps bring along a turbanned PAS fella to analyse what went wrong.
ReplyDeleteJokes aside, the swing is due to PKR's leadership, especially the Azmin factor and flawed party polls.
Time to take a good look at a mirror and take the blame, instead of the usual 'Its Their Fault' rhetorics.
What's the prediction for Merlimau?
Where's KITA?
A GOOD MAN DOES NOTHING.
uncle zorro
ReplyDeletegive up lah with the final election outcome. BN won with big majority too, also sign that FELDA atoks and neneks will forever support BN blindly.
about phantom voters claims, donno what to say lah coz that's not new to malaysian election environment.
hope PAS will offer PKR candidate for Merlimau by election. its not about being famous for good character with local people, but being able to show 'ability to stand and debate' may likely wins.
can PKR Merlimau offer such candidate?
Zorro please keep up your fighting spirit.
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, you can rebuild your stamina with the beer duck at Niamah Teoh's restaurant. He should be able to give you discount.
I hope every by-election will expose the rakyat to the evils of BN. I hope Zorro will continue hsi crusade to enlighten the rakyat on the dirty tactics of BN.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the perjuangana.
May the force be with you.
We have shown that we are capable. Our private papers are testimony to this.
ReplyDeleteFurther more it is rather a good news instead the of other way.
ReplyDeleteIt further pushes jibby into a corner to hold an early election ASAP.
Or he will be branded as a coward by his own party.
Good news might not be good.
Just recieved this mail from friend. If this is indeed true, then God help the non-muslim/malay food industries!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete"What is becoming of Malaysia ? The nightmare is evolving and those caught in it are mainly the Chinese and Indians, and perhaps multinational corp with operations in M'sia. I feel sad to receive this email.
Its so sad and what a terrible economic and commercial tragedy that hard working, honest, dedicated entrepreneur like your goodself has to face such kind of rulings in the food business.
It must also been horrific and financially disastrous that Dato
Jackson 's Sliverbird factory is forced to close down under such heart breaking circumstances.
I know about the IKEA's restaurant's shut down because of the so-called question on the alleged foodstuff halal certification.
May the mercy and compassion of God Almighty be upon 1Malayasia !!
God help this country !!
On Fri, Oct 8, 2010 at 9:56 AM, Sani Ong wrote:
Dr.Martin, The Halal Hype that is going on in our country will force many SMIs involved in food production and distribution to close shop. JAKIM has muscled its way to make itself the Monopoly of the Halal certificate. In April 2011 the Halal Act will be passed by Parliament where only Jakim has the monopoly to issue the certificate.
Each certificate cost about RM1000 and with 2000 line items in my company I will have to foot out RM2,000,000 and that is if I am lucky to get all those approved. I might as well close down my business and retrench all the 60 staff with some 100 odd dependents.
The Government will be deprived of some RM800,000 worth of taxes and duties. The Food standard will definitely decline as chefs will have less ingredients to work with. The Halal procedures will increase the food cost by 10%. JAKIM does
not care for the economy of the country. All it cares for is its rice bowl to ensure that it is relevant and seen to be working hard.
Look at the way it closed down IKEA for two weeks. Look at the way it closed down Silverbird in Nilai. It does not care for the business environment in this country.
Even mineral water has halal logo. Eventually all vegetable, fish, grains, rice, etc will need halal logo. Eventually all Muslims will not touch all non Muslims if the Halal fever is allowed to spread. Even Saudi Arabia is not as strict as Jakim. I have suppliers who could sell their products into Saudi Arabia but not in Malaysia .
80% of the food industry is run by Non Malays. One of the criteria to obtain the Halal Certificate for restaurants is to employ Malaysian Muslim. If you do not have any Malaysian Muslim in your restaurant you will not be issued with a Halal certificate.
Where are we heading???? "
Dear Zorro,
ReplyDeleteCongrats and many thanks to you, Shang and also Arif....(notice the 1Malaysia comradeship) for providing us updates whether or not it is ciplak or not, I truly admire and salute your commimtment in traveling all the way to Labis and braving floods to give us and our children hope for a better Malaysia. The important lesson that needs to be learn here is that more n more Malaysians like your goodself are coming out to speak the "thruth" and give the rest of us real updates which we do not get in the MSM....God Bless you, Zorro and the rest of the gang for for your efforts....and to people like KY, be positive in your comments to make our country a true 1Malaysia.
Who is telling the truth?
ReplyDeleteDid more Chinese vote for PAS this time compared to 2008 or was it the other way round? What DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang is saying runs counter to what MCA chief Chua Soi Lek and the Election Commission are saying. Who can tell us the truth?
What is your analysis on this matter Mr Zorro?
