Party leaders believe that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's comment on Saturday that “if Barisan Nasional doesn't win, no one can” was an indirect threat.
PAS fears a coup if the opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat seizes control of Putrajaya in the next general election.
Commenting on the matter, PAS vice-president Mahfuz Omar described the premier's remark as a dangerous threat to democracy.
"Does this mean that a riot will happen? Will there be a coup d'etat? This statement is made as if there is already a plan," the Pokok Sena MP told a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.
Shah Alam PAS MP Khalid Samad said Najib owed the public an explanation.
He also called on the prime minister to assure Malaysians than BN would hand over control peacefully if defeated in the polls.
"We want a direct response. If he doesn't give a direct response, it's a clear indication that they are not."
I have this simple question for the PM:
IS IT TO BE 1UMNO OR 1MALAYSIA?
However I have no fear of a coup. I know that the King is the only one who can call out the troops and he will call out the troops to protect his citizens whom he has vowed to protect during his installation.
The Agong is not like that Election Commission stooge who when asked about election irregularities said: If we don’t cheat how can UMNO be the government. This same gnat also said before the 2008 GE that the only party capable of running the country is UMNO!
SO MALAYSIANS, HAVE NO FEAR. THIS KING IS NOT LIKE SOME OTHERS!
I hope so uncle zorro,I certainly hope so, may Allah have mercy on us!
ReplyDeleteTuan Zorro,
ReplyDeleteoh yeah??
Threat-mongering of this kind is a threat to national security. We still have the ISA, don't we?
ReplyDeleteTuan Zorro,
ReplyDeleteU r a National Threats, by mongering such a thought. You should be ISAed.
You will be first on the list, come next Operasi Lalang.
Don't you think so Sir.
HHalem
U joker.
ReplyDeleteDear Zorro
ReplyDeleteI wish I can have your confident,, but.. well...
Due to the Perak controversy , most Malaysians no longer look upon them as moderator nor savior of justice.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to know that some still thinks otherwise.
Jibby's speech is a direct threat to all Malaysians as a whole.
It means umno might replaces Yangoon in this region.
Seems like May13th version 2 is in his blood and is already on his planning board.
Bn supporters are ashamed of such threat as well.
They want a bn leader that is respectable just like what PR supporters expect from leaders of Dap, Pkr and Pas.
And most Bn supporters might abstain from voting on the coming 13th GE.
With jibby making such violent threats , this will be his Waterloo.
Please remember 1969 when BN (was then known as Alliance) lost but typical of BN they declared emergency as a result of May 13 that was created by Umno and BN continued to rule even though they lost the election.
ReplyDeleteRazak who was Najib's father also took the chance to kick out Tengku Abdul Rahman as P.M.. He was not elected as P.M. then but became P.M. through the providence of God or Allah shorty he died of cancer. That is the tactics of Umno and now they are hinting what they can do just to hold on to power. Will history repeat itself ?
It will be the son of the then turncoat who is going to do it again. Like father like son but God or Allah is even mightier than Umno I hope !
Would it be insubordination, treacherous or inappropriate for me to hold a different view? Just because I don't know which side my bread is buttered does not mean others also don't!
ReplyDeleteZorrow,
ReplyDeleteSo far those guys have been silent for too long! When they open their mouths its PR is at fault!
Do you think the KING will use his power to quell unrest?
We have our doubts!
Senor, the King will always protect his citizens. No need for you to remind him. Anyway, the King do not listen to an old bloke who don't even respect the Jalur Gemilang. So, save your breath.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, the King do not listen to an old bloke who don't even respect the Jalur Gemilang. So, save your breath.
Bambino, do you understand the significance of a flag flow the other way? I consider this country in distress. Unless you consider 1805 deaths in custody, gunning down 15 years old kid, billions lost in arms deals, corrupt politicians, corrupt judiciary, baby dumping as good governance, carrying on living in your fantasy land. As to saving my breath...its ok, it is mine anyway. Have a healthy day, son.
HHalem....why wait for another Op Lallang. Report me immediately to the authorities. Don;t wait lah! I have already been questioned by CCID over a seditious posting, so if you report me immediately, you can make the job of the police easier. They have not decided to charge me yet. Help them, report me....that way I will know who HHalem is. JUST DO IT. But before filing the report, go collect your breakfast money from you know who.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip to the Police yah?
Uncle Zorro,
ReplyDeleteI wish I have your faith and confidence in the malaysian royalty to protect all malaysian citizens regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion or social status. Given the recent pronouncements of certain royals on the ketuanan definition, it goves me the shivers that whatever the definition is, the royals still tend to be race and ethnic-centric biased.
Our only hope is for all malaysians to be rationale as we can no longer depend on the present government nor the royalty to look after the interest and welfare of the ordinary malaysians like you and I.
Zorro,
ReplyDeleteI think you had one two many drinks. Come back when you are sober.

I think the King will. But Perakians are still furious and unforgiving that they have been betrayed when Palace-backed umno-led BN powergrabbed.
PAS must understand, the riot wont involve the malays bcoz it will repeat history....pointing all fingers angrily to the chinese and indians as the trouble makers which will get wholesale support from malay community...so mission accomplished...and status quo.Pakatan will be checked mate.

ReplyDeleteKEY Word: certain royals. Did I not end my posting thus: MALAYSIANS, HAVE NO FEAR.THIS KING IS NOT LIKE SOME OTHERS! Some others.
Daulat Tuanku!
ReplyDeleteDaulat Tuanku!
Daulat Tuanku!
I stand corrected here: A friend sent me this email and I publish it to correct an error I made:
ReplyDeleteBernard,
The Armed Forces will take orders from the legally constituted cabinet only. It does not matter even if the cabinet is PR's. The Chief-of-Defense-Staff Operations Committee in Mindef, the numero uno decision making body, will evaluate whether the instructions given by the cabinet fall within the context of "lawful command" or not. For instance, the Forces will not obey orders to persecute minority groups or eliminate the DAP coz it will be "unlawful command". The management of violence - the raison d'etre - of the Armed Forces will strictly follow rules of engagement based on minimum force, acting within the law, impartiality and acting in good faith.
The Forces, mutatis mutandis - Army, Navy and Air force - do not take orders from the Agong or any ruler. There has been a precedent.

ReplyDeleteHaha...Hej Zorro! For an old man, you are really cute!! Don't be so naive lah!! The royals are own by Umno, ok?
Thought you eat salt more than other people eat rice. Why still blur blur one??
Anon1010pm
ReplyDeleteToday I am vindicated. I blog to probe. I succeeded. Anon1010pm proved to me what I wanted to hear. I am willing to be silly, old, senile, naive....just to elicit comments like the above. Now who is blur? Salt makes you thirsty and me and my buddies just polished off a bottle of CordonBleau at the Wharf.
Dang! I have to be up at 6am to go to KLIA.
And Lita sayang....just love u to bits.
"I think the King will. But Perakians are still furious and unforgiving that they have been betrayed when Palace-backed umno-led BN powergrabbed" - Jong
ReplyDeleteWhat portion of Perakians are furious may I ask? What about the greater portion of Perakians who are appreciative with the change? Thankful for being saved from the uncertainty of the Pakatan rule which Raja Petra (Zorro's buddy) label as "Opposition not fit to govern the country".
Your last paragraph is something I do not count on. Afterall, who would bite the hand that feeds him?
ReplyDeleteUmno, malays and the monarchy is a trinity afterall.
Anonymouse 11:40AM,
ReplyDeleteObviously, you aren't aware or don't wanna know of the newest biz in town -"rent-a-crowd". Go ask that smiling Pangkor Pirate aka Snake Oil Gambir Salesman!
Perak needs effective leaders not pirates, corrupt scumbags and their servile followers to further plunder the state's wealth. You can deny today, facts and realities tomorrow, and if BN is that confident(cocksure should be a better word!) why do you think they dare not call for snap state election now, huh? Perakians can't wait to chuck them all into the Malacca Strait.
