I have been a follower of Dato’ Mohd Ariff Sabri’s blog (SAKMONGKOL AK47.) ever since his first posting. He relentlessly hammers home one familiar theme that reminds me of what William Blake said:
“When I tell any truth, it is not for the sake of convincing those who do not know it, but for the sake of defending those that do.”
Don't forget , we had one before, so impressive so like the real one but...alas
ReplyDelete... which failed you & us badly when it matters
Let's hope he does not walk the path of RockyBru...
ReplyDeleteNajib said to UMNO:
ReplyDelete“Each of us must be on Twitter and Facebook. We must be the champion of social networking,”
Fried Rice will be happy that the broadband penetration rate will be achieved when most umnoputera signs up for this purpsoe!
For the next 100 years will never trust this UMNO ...
ReplyDeleteEnough is enough... no matter what, this nation needs total reform and there is no other options.
No action and talk only! so what for maa...
CHANGE is vital if no changes come next PRU...then we will continue to live under budget seluar dalam.
What is Dato Sak still doing in UMNO? The party is beyond repair, had to be given its last rites soon.
ReplyDelete# IF ONLY HE WAS IN PAKATAN RAKYAT #
ReplyDelete- Yah, I suppose so BUT if he has any intent he must watch out for that very insecured conniving backstabbing PKR crowd!
Zorro:
ReplyDeleteYou should not mix friendship with a person's principles.
Sakmongkol47 is an unapologetic supporter of UMNO.
How could a man -- if he truly has integrity -- continue to support a political party that has been plundering the country and that has promoted hardcore racial politics for so long?
On just these counts alone, we, the RAKYAT, reject Sakmongkol47 from Pakatan Rakyat.
The scriptures lead us to the Truth which we have forgotten, but is intrinsic in all.'The kingdom of heaven[Truth] is WITHIN us and all around us'
ReplyDeleteUncle Zorro,
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about your perception of Sakmongkol. As many people already know that you can take a peron out of UMNO but you cannot take the UMNO out of the person. TRH is a good example of a man who gained "fame" by being a severe crtic of UMNO, almost giving the impression that UMNO is a gone case (which is a fact) but at the end of the day, he is helping his diseased UMNO party to recapture the Galas seat. Is this the definition of a principled man? Perhaps this is what is meant as a UMNO principled man, saying one thing but doing another. Everyman has his price (including TRH) so it's best to save your praises for Sakmongkol for the time being.
You have placed your hopes on the wrong man.
ReplyDeleteZaid,In one brush stroke you have painted or tarred some very good and sterling people in UMNO who try very hard to redeem the principles and mission of UMNO blemished by the current leaders. UMNO admits that what ills them, corruption, arrogance, etc was why they lost in GE12. If they can regain Galas by clean maneuvering it could be that these brave men like TRH and SAK's messages are effective. Cancer can be overcome, let's give some of these UMNO people who continue to persevere, a chance to work their cures. If UMNO can change, my inverted flag will fly proudly. Some good men in UMNO are working thus. They need support not condemnation.
ReplyDeleteAnon902am, would you compliment a person who try and try against all odds to instill changes within UMNO? The least, we who sit comfortably outside as observers can contribute is not to put up hurdles and obstructions.I always have faith in GOOD men, few as they are in all political parties, who try their darnedest to make politics tick and work towards our common good.
ReplyDeleteZorro,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to say your eyes have been blurred.
Have you really read some of the things Sakmongkol47 has said?
How he has criticised Anwar Ibrahim so unfairly (personal attacks)??
I am no champion or supporter of Anwar...
I am all for the rakyat and the wellbeing we are trying to win for ourselves...
But Sakmongkol47 is simply a lousy beacon of reform for UMNO. Same goes for Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah -- who has strong connections which big (crooked) Chinese businessmen (Google up and read some books on Malay capitalism).
Sorry Zorro, you are obviously ALONE on this one.
Sorry to disagreee with you, zorro. Have any of thes so-called good men in UMNO come out in the open and told them loud and clear that the road they take is bound to lead the country to implosion.
ReplyDeleteHave they galvanized the majority Malays (UMNO) not to be too greedy lest they lose whatever they have through the prefrential treatment they have been enjoying at the expense of the non-Malays. I did not really bother when the Malays were given their NEP for 30 years but when they want it for perpetuity at the expense of my children, grand children and future generations, I think the Malays (UMNOputras) have taken everything for granted.
Just because they hold majority stake holder status, that does not confer on them the right to keep on hammering the minority into submission with the help of the PDRM,Judiciary, MACC and the worst AG.
Worst still is when the PM of the country behaves like a jaguh kampong with his war cry to defend Putrajaya at all costs -with blood and crushed bodies. What a feudalistic way of thinking? UMNOputras and the PM should be reminded Putrajaya is not their hereditary kampung house. It is the administrative capital of whichever party is in power.
Lastly the present PM and future PMs should realize that he or she is the PM of ALL Malaysians and not the PM of UMNOputras only. Until that time comes do not expect all Malaysians to be swayed by his empty sloganeering and opportunistic political rhetoric.
Razif, some battles you fight alone. But if one has belief, faith in a few good men, one continues in this lonely journey. Thanks for your concern or are you concerned? It is OK, I will walk alone over rocks and brambles.
ReplyDeleteZorro, hope you don't fall off the edge when walking over the rocks and brambles!
ReplyDeleteWe the rakyat are going to zoom ahead without tainting ourselves those who work in the interest of the corrupt elites... including so-called "reformist" way (so superficial) like Sakmongkol47 + Tengku Razaleigh.
We have enough good men on our Pakatan Rakyat/civil society side. We don't need people like Sakmongkol47 who will dilute our cause. He and Ku Li can stay with UMNO and fiddle with this sinking ship. The only reason they are staying there is out of narrow nationalistic interest and their social-group/elite interest. If they want to save UMNO, they should have the guts to quit UMNO to force a change. But we all know that won't happen.
As Karl Marx once said, when you are faced with an organisation that is so corrupt, the only way to save society is to have a clean break away from this organisation -- there is no hope for "reform" in such corrupt-to-the-core organisasi.
Keep safe, Zorro *give you a compass and walking stick*
Luckily we still have abang Haris Ibrahim who is still more sane.
Hidup Rakyat!
Anak Muda Era Baru....thanks for concern. What compass...if you are really concerned get me a GPS lah, china-made also can.HIDUP Pakatan but also HIDUP the few good men in UMNO who seek change in UMNO.Thanks for your input son.
ReplyDeleteMauriyall, noted with thanks. Sak is not the type who want crushed bodies etc...u know that for a fact.
All the same la on both sides of the political divide whether it's umno or a case in point - PKR where good people with honesty and integrity gets one in trouble easily; worse if they have impeccable credentials they become instant threats to the now insecured pleateaued "veterans" who had been waiting and waiting in the wings for years for a chance to go up the political ladder.
ReplyDeleteGuess to be successful in politics, it pays(!!) to be cunning and conniving? And never call a spade a spade(!!) les you'll be hauled in to be ‘toilet-trained’ under close scrutiny than to be left out hopping all over the place, soiling their already dirty linens.
The head will turn to the direction of the smell of money. That's umno for you. Trust not their blogger.
ReplyDeleteAfter all is said and done, I believe Uncle Zorro still has a glimmer of hope , when all has lost hope and all seemed so useless.
ReplyDeleteThat is the mark of a true caring human being, believing in the intrinsic goodness of man... not another Devil May Care opportunist
Zaid scored high in the trial exam but failed terribly for the real test. Will Sak too ?
ReplyDeleteYES he will be the same
He is just an armchair politician, writes a lot but doesn't seem to be doing much to make the changes he laments.
ReplyDeleteThis is what Sakmongkol47 is:
ReplyDelete- Armchair politician trying to give UMNO a good name, kononnya UMNO got truly "good men" left
---> He is basically is a perfume seller spraying perfume on s**t so that it smells nice and the Malays will rally behind UMNO again.
Let me tell Sakmongkol47 this ---> He is NOT going to bring back Malay votes to UMNO so that UMNO can retain 2/3 majority. This time, its Pakatan Rakyat's turn.
Sakmongkol47 --> if you are a man, say this out loud in your blog: "Let UMNO lose power in General Election 13 so that they will reform from losing being in the opposition".
Change umno from within??? Are you kidding??? Is this a joke??? Even Ku Li cant do anything...even Tunku Abdul Rahman was "kicked in the butt" and died a broken-hearted man...even the current pm cant really change anything cos of the ex-pm! Since when has umno changed? If not for coming election, they AGM will be more aggressive against all pendatangs, so to speak.
ReplyDeleteWith a name like Sakmongkol47 you know it is up to no good.
