EMBARRASSING SILENCE FROM STAR'S TOP GOATS.

SHAMEFULLY, I admit that I do not communicate in Mandarin and can manage some Hokkien to save my life in emergency; a spattering of Cantonese to get out of a fix and some choiced expressions in some Chinese dialects, Tamil , Bengali, Singhalese and Portuguese to hit below the navel base.

But i have read enough in the net to believe that Jamaluddin's suspension and that of his boss is suspect.

Some excerpts from Malaysiakini:

According to the letter, Jamaluddin and the "Hi Malaysia" programme were suspected of "threatening national security" and "compromising race relations".(Siti Inshah, the celup Malay Riduan Tee, Utusan Malaysia did not?)

Another issue has turned hot - the removal of Jamaluddin Ibrahim - a host of the Chinese radio station 988's popular Hello Malaysiaprogramme - for allegedly offending the authorities with his remarks on sensitive racial issues.

The letter named him, saying that the programme is suspected of "threatening national security" and "compromising race relationships".

Hello Malaysia is broadcast every Monday to Friday from 8.10am to 10am. It is hosted by two permanent DJs -Jamaluddin and Qiu Yue and another who is a rotating host.

The programme provides the public with the opportunity to call in and air their views on various current issues and is well-received by the Chinese community.

Jamaluddin, at the same time, posted comments on his Facebook page, urging Qiu Yue and Joe (his co-hosts)to stay strong, and that the talk show must continue.

His fate has sparked heated discussion over the Internet. Until 1pm, over 3,000 comments had been posted on Jamaluddin's Facebookpage to show support for the radio programme.

During last year's MCA internal power struggle, one of the hosts, Koh Kok Wee, was dropped. The allegation is that his frequent criticism of then MCA president Ong Tee Keat (right) caused his departure.

Jamaluddin had been supportive of Ong, frequently arguing with Koh on-air over the MCA and various issues. Since Chua Soi Lek took over as MCA president, rumours have been rife that a restructuring of the radio station's personnel is in the offing.

+++++

However, despite this whole week of posturing, Chua was unavailable for comment today.

  5. CSL's posturing earlier this week was carefully scripted (as with the DPM). He wouldn't have the guts to say those things unless his owners allow him too. Too bad, the rakyat didn't take the bait and Nazri has to come out to play out the back-up script.

Why do I think so? Look at what happened to Jama and his mates yesterday and today right under MCA's nose. Anyone believe snakes can get rid of their sliminess?

  6. The circus hasn't left town yet. Only the ringmaster had been replaced. The country is going to the dogs. More reason to change this corrupt and racist government.

  9. As an ex-Malaysian (am an Australian now), I must say this country is really in the shitter.

For those who are able and willing, do migrate and let those crooks, thieves, racists, murderers have this country. They will bankrupt Malaysia in no time. And when we come back for a holiday (like I am now), we will show them our economic might.

The Awang Selamat and Melayu Celup Tee are more equal than others.

  13. It was claimed by Umno's Utusan that a war that would dwarf the May 13, 1969 riots "is imminent if the government does nothing to curb racial tension caused by those who continue to stoke racial fires".

Read between the lines again, especially the part where it says "if the government does nothing to curb racial tensions". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out the motives of Utusan Malaysia, and that is to prompt Umno to invoke the ISA on the opposition.

So what sort of Merdeka Day are we expecting? Your guess is as good as mine.

People don't trust the government anymore because they blatantly let Utusan/BN-owned media to get away with lies, slander and sedition, while all other non-BN-owned media are persecuted at the slightest drop of the hat.

Thanks to the Internet, the common people can tell that these lies and slanders are propagated by Umno/BN to cause racial tensions so that they can stay relevant. Now, the reverse effect is happening.

The more they lie, slander and incite racial unrest, the more people will reject them. They may still have their hooks on the older generations, but the younger voters will reject them. Perkasa and Utusan will speed up their demise.
