BOLEHLAND OR WASTELAND?

Taxpayers forked out RM3.8 billion last year to pay for the salaries of almost 43,544 staff of the Prime Minister's Department and to cover the operating costs of the department and its subordinate agencies.

The department has been given an allocation of RM3.9 billion for this year, to meet its operating costs and salaries of 43,544 personnel.

The expenditure included costs for a secretariat for former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the Early Childhood Education Unit (Permata), of which the Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor is chairperson.

The entire state government of Perak only employs 7,900 people. The RM4 billion spent by the PM's Department is almost five times the budget of Perak.

Taiwan, with a population similar to us at 28 million, has only 530,000 government employees. Japan with a 120 million population employs 380,000 civil servants. But Malaysia ,with a population of 28 million, has a civil service of 1.2 milion."

AND NOW THIS!

RM10.5 million had been allocated for the Graduate Employability Program (GEP) Our authorities are trying to fix the shortcomings of graduates who flounder in the competitive marketplace by pouring money to correct their mis-education.

“Malaysia is probably the only country which retrains graduates. Instead of addressing the root of the problem which is of course the poor quality of students that are being enrolled to universities, as well as the poor quality of our universities, our “boleh land” government has decided to spend more of our tax payer’s money for this kind of idiotic programmes!” claims Dr Pagalavan (HERE)

SO WHAT IS THE DECENT THING TO DO?

THE GOVERNMENT HAS NOT BEEN FAIR TO THESE UNEMPLOYED.

GRADUATES FROM OUR PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES.

THE PUBLIC SECTOR SHOULD ABSORB THEM IMMEDIATELY

INTO THE PRIME MINISTER’S DEPARTMENT.

THOSE WITH DEGREES IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES WOULD FIT IN ADMIRABLY

WITH JAKIM.

(Those with Diplomas should complement the Snoop Squads. The able-bodied with Degree can go into the RAID Squads and Honor students could monitor opposition mosques and known deviant groups. Ladies can supervise the squats or take photographs.)

LADIES WITH ARTS DEGREE

(Can help out in the PM’s 2nd wife’s pet project PERMATA.)

NON-MUSLIM GRADUATES

(could be gainfully employed by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency MMEA, since the Navy does not need them. They can alternatively be employed to jaga sand mines.)

SEE, WE SAVE RM10.5 million

ABSOLUTELY NO WASTE!

CAPITAL IDEA YAH?

THINKING OUT OF THE BOX, NO?

  1. PM want to syiok sendiri to be in Malaysia Book of Records with 43,544 staff in his Department.

Also can give job to the jobless bumi graduates who are not qualified for private sector for the obvious reason.

Also to get more votes in election when 'buying' is not needed.

  5. PM Rosemajib's total budget is $12 billion - 4 for operating and 8 for developing expenditure!

"donplaypuks, you are right. The operating budget of the Executive Office of the President of the US — our equivalent of the PM's Dept — is US $394 million, or RM 1,263,000,000.

    The staff is 1,888 people.

That includes not just the President’s own office but also the US Trade Representative’s office, the National Security Council, the Office of Management and Budget, and so on.

Bro, ALL M'sians can now see how much the Rosemajibs are ripping Malaysia off!

Rosemajib's staffing and $ budget exceeds the President of United State of America's by 40,000 persons and RM 2.7 billion!! and that doesn't include $8 billion development expenditure!!??

Wtf does Rosemajib think he is doing? Does he think he's Emperor of the UNiverse? He should be jailed!

  6. Read about accusation that the UTAR's new management is instructing lecturers to tamper with the grades of the students in order to have good passing rate. No doubt this kind of practice will produce un-employable graduates.

Zor, don't you know, civil servants are UMNO "undercover monkeys" fed with peanuts!

  8. That our graduates need re-training after graduation is a measure of how low education in this country has sunk into. Imagine having to teach a graduate how to work and think. What exactly did our graduates learn in varsity? Probably they were taught how to apple-polish Umno. I wont be surprised if the govt decides to retrain lecturers since most of them have dubious PhD qualifications from dubious varsities in the US. By the way, a friend of mine, who graduated from Brinsford in the Sixties, has been earning about RM6000 a month tutoring varsity undergraduates on English. Shows these undergrads have lost faith in their high-qualified lecturers. And he is in his late sixties!

  14. They just want to ensure that there is nothing left in the coffer when the opposition takes over the running of the country or will go bankrupt in their tenure.
When that happens I wonder where can Malaysia go for help ? May be Singapore ?
Is that the reason why they are getting so much better with them.

  15. UiTM will continue its intake to produce more unemployed graduates (the type of courses they took has no relevance to the industry needs)so that the PM office could continue to employ them to guarantee their votes after the remedial class of BTN.

  16. Speaking of tampering grades, you guys better not be overjoyed that scoring 9A+ at SPM will guaratee you a schorlaship.

Your grades can be 'tampered' to fit the interest of umno to ensure their quota is met according to their perkasa guidelines.

Wee ka Siong and his mca yes men cannot do anything. So is mic.

If you get good grades, don't waste your postage (now unreasnably high) applying for local scholarship, instead go for ASEAN scholarship to pursue your education, career, PRship and life in Singapore where meritocracy is cherished.

  18. RM 8 billion to develop exactly what? Fertilizer?

If I am not mistaken, the "Civil Defence Force" (which uses while vehicles with orange and green stripes) also reports to this ministry. What exactly have they achieved? How did they help during floods?

Where is the information on the names, functions and buget allocations of ALL departments? Do we have the right only to pay, and not to know?

  19. Bernard,

Just how can Jibby (with one Orb squeezed by Madey's & the other in Mama's handbag!) remove his "Master's" plus Dollah's "Loyal" Civil servants, some of whom are even sabotaging him & his Policies...susah lor!

So he has to add on his "Old Loyal Civil Sevants as well mah!

43,554 staff & Rgt 3.8 Billion (Rgt12.0 Billion???) Operating Budget...

Could make it to the Guiness Book of Records...for being the Most Grossly Wasteful & Incompetent Moron PeeM"

The operating budget of the Executive Office of the President of the US — our equivalent of the PM's Dept — is US $394 million, or RM 1,263,000,000 for the staff of 1,888 people.

In actual fact, 2/3 of the staff & budget is "Excess Baggage"...

We should all demand PeeM to Downsize his Staff/Budget, like how they allowed many Companies to Downsize.

As it is most Govt Depts are so pathetic when it comes to service...

Quantity but with NO QUALITY !

    You be the judge.

    Cheers.

  21. Malott said Ibrahim should buy a dictionary. “The word 'militant' has two meanings, one of which is 'having a combative character; aggressive, especially in the service of a cause, such as a militant political activist," he said.

“I stand by my statement that Perkasa is a militant group. If Ibrahim does not understand English, that is his problem, not mine.”

Today he awarded Jibby with some sort of innovation award. Last ime he even produced a coffee table book extoling the achievment of Pak Lah.

I think there are other private institution is malaysia that deserve more without using the brown-nosing technique.

  23. Muslims must not wear the famous Manchester United red jersey because of the 'devil' emblem on its team crest, said Nooh Gadot, a top Islamic cleric from Johor.

Also off limits are the shirts of teams including Brazil, Portugal, Barcelona, Serbia and Norway, all of which carry images of the cross on their team emblems.

'This is very dangerous. As a Muslim, we should not worship the symbols of other religions or the devils. It will erode our belief in Islam. There is no reason why we as Muslims should wear such jerseys, either for sports or fashion reasons,' said Mr Nooh. 'Even if it (the jersey) is a gift, we should decline it. It is even more sinful when people realise this is wrong and still buy these jerseys to wear,' he added. 'These Muslims should repent, repent immediately,' he said. -- AFP

  24. Umno leaders always boast to the world that our educational standards are comparable to that of the developed world. Well, Umno goons are the biggest liars in the world. Just ask any local graduate to speak two sentences in English, and you will know why. We produce first class honours students, straight A students. Yet they cant speak English. For god's sake, dont people realise it? I have talked to so-called straight A students in English and what I got was a blank look. Tiuniamah, what standard are we talking about. My uncle only had a standard six education from the fifties, yet he speaks decent english. Tiuniamah.

  25. nstman has missed the point big time (must be reading to much nst).

No need for local graduates to speak good English. They will be absorbed to balloon the headcount of civil servants to enable them to vote for BN.

    Save your tiuniamah.

  35. Malaysia is in a deep pit now - racial policies, 'kulitocracy' instead of meritocracy, high loss of skilled workers, stagnant income, declining foreign investment, super high corruption, high wastage, unfettered unproductive spending especially on defence, useless mega projects, diminishing natural resources, low university standard, authoritarian government with no checks and balance, whorehouse judiciary, useless MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission), controlled media, etc.

The end result is a depreciated currency and general poverty. The country hasn't declined worse because of oil but no country with such a burden can go up. The only way to go is down, unless there is a political change.

The so-called FDI outflows has all the signs of capital flight. Even local investors do not want to invest in Malaysia. When racists like Perkasa are allowed to run free, where is the confidence among investors? Is this a good time to dismantle our racial policies? Otherwise, maid exporting country, here we come.
