THE word around is that you pluck a mean guitar. You need to continue de-stressing doing that instead of distressing us by being a mouth organ (in my time we call it the harmonica) of the BN. I tipped my cap when you turned around MAS. I even harbored hopes of you being the future Chief Minister of Sarawak if you hadn't been "sucked" into the Najib administration. To me that was the end when you worked for BN.
Are you saying that under the BN, we would be Greec(ed) by 2015 if subsidies continue? Hold it! How sure are you that BN will be around in 2015? You thoroughly disappoint me. You are fortunate I have no authority of asking you to stand in the corner!
When every resources should be mustered to buffer the current economic crisis, we are giving away land, oilfields, sponsoring two F1 teams when giants like Toyota and Honda have left the paddocks. Why are we buying jets without engines and armored vehicles at exorbitant prices? What steps are made to bring back the billions that have been siphoned out of the country? Why do we need submarines that cannot dive because of irregular maintenance? Word has it that the submarines are torpedo-less. Also word has it that in its journey home to Malaysia, the submarine spent less than 1/3 of its journey submerged. Why spend billions to harbor the submarine(s)? I thought our KL smart tunnels would be ideal just like how Singapore's Air Force prepared their highways as landing strips.
And why spend the millions during by elections distributing largess? If you are not laughing, the world is. So until all the above questions can be answered you are just a mouthpiece. By 2015 BN may be greased!
This is what position and money can do to some people.
ReplyDeleteZorro, Idris is being groom by Najis to split Idris's people who are mainly SIB christian. So lets see how far this so called christian have sold his soul. He is widely said to be used to counter Baru Bian. Lets see whether he will be the factor to split the SIB.
ReplyDeleteCurrently, it's getting more likely that BN will last through 2019.
ReplyDeleteI know, Opposition's getting stronger and there's movement to get more people to register in order to vote. But right now, I don't see them making significant headlines.
It seems more likely that Malaysia will be bled dry than being saved by the people. I hope they buckle up; BN will not surrender control that easily.
Bravo Zorro, hantam him kuat-kuat...
ReplyDeletewhat can we expect when one sucks the ass for too long, rubbish come out from the mouth la...
i think they know they cant retrieve the votes from the Chinese, so now, they are trying to split the votes of christians.
May Allah grant christians wisdom to vote out corruption completely in the next GE !!!
Pity the poor fler, if no say big things like Malaysia bankrupt in 9 years nobody will even know his name ! He is Koh Tsu Koon's best friend we heard. Best of the
ReplyDeleteuseless cum helpless
team scumbag
Idris Jala for whom many had respect is now playing the UMNO game of scaremongering and APCO spin.
ReplyDeleteOut of so-callled $74 billion in subsidies, nearly $50 billion is for Education, Health & Welfare!!!
What do we need a Govt for if they can't even provide that? And only last week, they were talking about 2017 as the year we MAY become net oil importers!!
In any event it is UMNO/BN and Najib who are responsible for our $350 billion debt and if they were a private company, would have been booted out by now!!
PM Najib and his Govt should resign today for their political and economics mismanagement of M'siaand call for fresh elections.
dpp
we are all of 1 race, the Human Race
He used to be such a bright man when he was in Shell.
ReplyDeleteGod only knows what has turned him and his mind to mush.
Very frust! Today, many veteran leaders are still using "scare" tactics to seek "control" over the populace.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow, let's do away with these leaders and only elect REAL leaders who can help us shape a better future, and to bring prosperity to nation.
Register today and use your vote wisely! Make your single vote count!!
But i thought our list of billionaires net worth had increased last year (just read mkini)
ReplyDeleteGolden Boy
Idris in the Jala should be advising North Korea how to play guitar and destress instead of threatening the World. Ibans just cant stop helping themselves away from BN... pity them all, seen them in Sibu and disappointed lot!
ReplyDeleteIt seems that they still don't get it, or they want to remain in a state of denial.
ReplyDeleteYes, there'll be huge savings by doing away with subsidies.
Yes, any economists would agree that subsidies is unhealthy for a free market.
The problem is when corrupted politics come into the picture. There is this fear that the savings would again go to wastage and corruption by the govn as Zorro has rightly pointed out, which by no mean is exhaustive.
Dread to imagine when come the time where there are no subsidies and no money at the same time!!! It would definitely be worse than Somalia.
So, wise up people. The BN govn reserve is running low and is trying all means to squeeze more money from the nation and people for their own use. I'm really amused when there are still naive people wanting so much and eagerly to invest in trust fund after trust fund by the govn. If they have excess cash, it would be wiser to invest in gold or just keep them under the pillow.
Who cares Malaysia will be bankrupt in 9 years, just ask pekasa ibrhim, zulklifi, ahmad ismal, noh,.The more important thing to do is chinese bashing, may 13 threat over and over again, idiotic rhetorics, mega project handouts.-failures...after all its the rakyat who will be brankrupt, not those rich powerful politicians and tycoons.
ReplyDeleteActually, i quite respected Idris when he was getting Mana Ada System around. Since he joined B..eNd, i have my second thoughts. Well Zorro, you are damn right on your comments on him lately. Seems that money can do wonders to a lot of people. How true. Before he become a tool of BN/UMNO, we hope Idris should at least help exposed all the wrong doings of BN/UMNO and all the component parties(esp one big white shark in MCA and another equally big black one in MIC, just to name a few). Billions and billions of dollars are wasted or ended up into those big white sharks and cronies pockets.Yet nothing has been done to recover or at least stop the bleeding of our poor rakyat money till todate. Just take a look at that biggest and greatest "Slime Derby" GLC. Its is totally UNBELIEVABLE that none of the thousands of staff, some with incredible credentials, are totally unaware of the billions$$$$$$ siphoned and wasted during the project implementation all these years.
ReplyDeleteCome on, Idris, i personally believe you still have some dignity and courage to do what you should do. If your hands are tied for whatever reasons, then RESIGN from BN and work for PKR. At least you stand walk with your head high wherever you go. ACT NOW!!!!!!!!
Jala said RM200Billion will be lost in 20years if petrol subsidies not removed.
ReplyDeleteI say we will lose 100 X RM200Billion with this corrupted UMNO-BN in the helm.
Get rid of UMNO-BN and we will see about the subsidy cut.
What's the point of cutting subsidies and saving RM200Billion and then having it stolen through apa-nama defense budget.
ALL THIS IS SHIT!!!
Kick UMNO cum BN out of this country
ReplyDeleteand repossess all their wealth - Malaysia will live prosperously !!
Hi RAKYAT, do you all still dare to vote for BN which will bankrupt the country in 9 years???
ReplyDeleteI hope Pakatan will highlight this issue in the next BIG GE.
Save the country by voting for a change.
Hidup Pakatan !!!
After 53 years in power, country going bankrupt, corruption rampant, nation in tatters and people never been more polarised than today? This is troubling.
ReplyDeleteBarisan Nasional(BN) definitely has overstayed its welcome, it has failed miserably with its gutter politics! It has to go and we the rakyat has to see to it.
Give Pakatan Rakyat a chance in the next general election to prove themselves, and let's throw them out if they fail to deliver but to wait more than half a century for change is downright MADNESS!
BeEnd will more likely bankrupt the country with its high corruption and wastage.
ReplyDeleteSavings on subsidy will go into BeEnd's buy-election war chest.
Lu tolong gua potong subsidi, Gua tolong lu bikin sekolah?
Before you cut subsidy, stop all the F1 sponsorship (save you the embarrassment too) and those angkasawan program.
Assuming revenue stagnates, when Idris doesnt pluck anything but some cutie plucks him, that the NEM is just like finding Nemo, Yeah, that computes but make no sense. Of course, Idris might have forgotten where some wells were located (doesn't anyone ever forgets), when he remembers MAS kites can gazup to their content. And some others their piggy vases.
ReplyDeleteAnyway and any model, dressed or undressed BN is sunken.
BTW whatever happened to those Kuat Kerja Index? Is Idris' index finger pointing, plucking or digging? :(
Yes, brother Bernard, I had the same thoughts that in Idris, we Sarawakians could have a potential future CM; but the moment he agreed to join BN, my feeling was: another UMNO mouthpiece!
ReplyDeleteI thought that he would be one towering Sarawakian to lead the natives to reclaim their right to access the Chief Ministership of Sarawak which was sold out by ealier native leaders such as Linggi and his father. Are you all aware that the former CM, Rahman Yakub manipulated it such that only Muslim leaders of the main BN component party, PBB may become the Chief Minister of Sarawak? And this is Sarawak where the non-Muslim natives form the majority?? And look at all the BN non-Muslim leaders keeping quiet about it lapping up to Taib Mahmud so long as they get their share of the loot and the comforts of life. I likened Idris to these non-Muslim leaders. Betrayers of Sarawakians!
uncle Bernard,
ReplyDelete*IDRIS, PLAY YOUR GUITAR & SHUT UP.*
hmmm..u gave him too much credit sir!! he doesn't even deserved a guitar, cos just like women, a guitar has the same curves, you can hold them in your arms without them nagging and all they say is so melodic. When u treat a
guitar right, she makes u know; when u caress it bad, she lets u
know right away..and unlike women, they will NEVER get out of shape, not like Rosmah mama..give him a trumpet instead!! lmfao!!
First to reduce subsidies we must increase the salary of the rakyat. How can the salary of rakyat be increased when we have cheap labour from overseas like the Bangal, Indonesian and etc.
ReplyDeleteIdris be realistic, get rid of all the foreign workers so that the salary of the rakyat will be increased and than only you can talk about removing subsidies.
" ..we Sarawakians could have a potential future CM; but the moment he agreed to..." - Betrayed Sarawakian
ReplyDelete- "potentials" are rounded up not because they are good or smart but because they pose threats to the all powerful, then there's urgent need to get them down. It needs strong moral fibre to resist. That's politics!
the shit of BN has gotten to him. he thinks and talks like UMNO now. you think he is for the people now? dream on Jala. Salivating for the CM post?
ReplyDeleteIdris warned that unless Malaysians bite the bullet and wean off subsidies to save the government RM103 billion in five years to reduce the nation’s deficit and huge debt, Malaysia could become another Greece and go bankrupt in nine years.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Idris said the government would focus on big ticket items such as fuel, electricity and toll to achieve the savings, he failed to focus on the biggest ticket items – corruption, mismanagement, extravagance and lack and accountability.
When corruption, mismanagement, extravagance and lack of accountability cost the government from RM10 billion to RM28 billion a year, what credibility has the government to talk about slashing subsidies affecting the rakyat when it has nothing to show to end the rampant and worsening state of corruption, the gross abuses of power and public funds like indiscriminate issue of APs and various forms of “piratisation” in the name of privatization?
Anon415pm...succinctly,aptly expressed and directed between the eyes. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMalaysia can save RM103 billion if the government abolishes all forms of corruption and misuse of powers. This is because a study has shown that the country has been losing RM10 billion to RM28 billion every year through corruption.
ReplyDeleteSo does Najib have the political will?
Back then, they said that they cannot legalise gambling because it was against but today they are legalising because Umno has no money. Their excuse is that they need to legalise betting to help curb illegal gambling.
The world today is upside down, we have a Muslim government that wants to legalise betting but we have Chinese who are against it. They don’t understand that the poor people will suffer. Barisan Nasional has no principles.
Malaysia will go bankrupt by 2019. What a headline. This shocking declaration goes against the grain of past announcements of economic health and growth. What did we fail to see it before? What happened to our plan to become a developed nation in 2020 as claimed by our now half dead mamak ex-PM?
ReplyDeleteLooks like Bolehland will be a dead duck just by a year earlier instead of 2020. Are those BN/UMNO politicians and that half dead mamak kutty all this while have been trying to tell the rakyat that Bolehland will be bankrupt in 2020!!! Now they brought it earlier i.e. 2019. How amazing indeed!!
It would be great to hear what that big mouth mamak kutty have to say. Hope he will not pretend to be dumb by saying i dont remember i said that la...
Anyway, all said and done.
Do the rakyat still vote BN/UMNO knowing that they will bankrupt the country in 9 years time???
Perhaps those in PERKASA will just do that.
Come GE13, vote PKR and save the country from BN/UMNO!!!
See how Mahatir and CM sarawak stole from the country! You still have money until now? I thought we had been bankrupted long ago!
ReplyDeleteEXPLOSIVE NEWS FROM SARAWAK
BAKUN DAM IS GOING TO BE ANOTHER WHITE ELEPHANT.
The whole 15 Billion Ringgit Bakun dam project (Supposed to produce 2400 Mw) was conceived by corrupt Mahathir to steal the 10 Billion ringgit worth of Timber from the Chief Minister of Sarawak Taib Mahmud who “owns” all the Timber in Sarawak.
The timber from the forest the size of Singapore (otherwise would be extracted by the CM) is now stolen by Mahathir as Bakun is a federal project. Mahathir asked his favorite crony Ting Pek King to extract the Timber. Ting Pek King Subcontracts the extraction to Hii Chang Pee who underreported the volume extracted thereby ‘cheating’ Ting. Mr.Hii subsequently had a high profile court case with Ting. That is another story.
Hee just opened his new "Pullman Hotel", 2 years after Ting's "Four Points Sheration", both in Kuching.
Ting is building another Sheraton in Miri, his 2nd hometown, after Bintangor his birthplace.
Now Bakun can provide enough electricity to supply Sarawak’s need 4 times over. Yet Taib Mahmud wants to build another dam Murun, amongst many.
WHY?
His brother in law Aziz Hussein runs the company building the dams. His sister's company provides the construction work. Taib’s company CMS is producing the cement! And he also controls and profit from the steel imports!
Now Sarawak electrical company Sesco is now privatized and owned by the CM Taib and his ministers who call it Sarawak Energy Bhd. Taib does not want to buy the electricity from Bakun because of his Timber 10 billion worth was stolen by Mahathir, therefore he wanted to build another 900 M v Murun dam upstream from Bakun costing 5 billion (1/3 the size of Bakun) Now Murun is 10% completed and need more funds which international banks will not lend to Taib’s company Sarawak Energy because it is privately owned by Taib and his cabinet. So Taib now wants to reverse ‘privatize’ the Sarawak Energy company after striping the assets to the government of Sarawak and then obtain loans from foreigners.
So they say Rio Tinto an Australian co is interested to use the Bakun electricity which is not true. Then they say a Chinese co maybe keen. This is a lie as the federal groups now realize Bakun is becoming a white elephant.
Now the 600 mile cable from Bakun to west Malaysia has to pass 70% of the way near few islands owned by Indonesia and only 30% of the way is Malaysia owned. So Indonesia has not given permission and is also not keen on to buy Bakun electricity as it cannot afford. There is not a single company in the world that can make a 600 mile long cable. The electricity loss would be tremendous. (80 %?) And the earth quakes would break the cable. Sabotage and damage due to ships anchors and other passing ships have to be factored in.
I would not be surprised Bakun will produce electricity in few years time but remain a white elephant – much to the credit of the reckless and corrupt PM Mahathir with many stupid ideas and corrupted CM of Sarawak Taib Mahmud who is reputed to be one of the richest men on earth.
"A Malaysian observer
If you study economics, there can never be a perfect solution. You solve one only to have another coming up as a direct consequence.
ReplyDeleteBN should solve the root cause.
What is the problem with 'subsidy'?
With subsidy you give reasons for the poor to continue to be lazy and forever dependent on aid (Perkasa please take note). If a person is poor, he should work harder and focus on 'needs' and not 'wants' to save more money for the future.
Stick to meritocracy. If a person is not capable, why must he/she be given a university place? That's why we continue to have high unemployment among the inferior graduates when they should be taking on those jobs that are given to foreign workers.
Another way is to focus on cutting wastage on those unnecessary big projects (we have lot of white elephants in Bolehland). Then spend the effort to bring down corruption.
I guess the simple way to achieve the above is to replace BN with Pakatan. Tony Pua has better economic strategies than Idris Jala.
huh.. pakatan rakyat pun sama la.. i felt no difference at all after voting them...
ReplyDeleteand we malaysians believe every piece of crap coming out of these politicians..
and you people talk like you know every inside out of where our tax money are going, believe in these so called "facts" & "statistics" taken from sources with no proof to backup their claims...
they are all the same..
subsidies be damn! people in other country can live with RM4++ per litre of petrol, why can't we?
baik we all sokong the BEBAS team je... neither of them support BN or PR..
