NO TIME IS BETTER THAN NOW, SHALL WE?

Nazri,  told the Dewan Rakyat that Lingam's alleged brokering of judges may be morally wrong, but there are no specific laws against it.

"His actions can
* undermine and erode the integrity of the judiciary, but things must be viewed from a legal perspective…moral and legal must be separated," he said.

* HAS! Not “can”.

I am stumped, so the following that I got from Pat is self-explanatory.

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

"God Almighty, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those

who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done.. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!"

Some legislators left the Senate.....for obvious reasons.

Idrus al-Haj asked:

"That was in America. How about Malaysia?!!!!  What has become of Malaysia???
Can we apply the same prayer for Malaysia?"

Allow me to end with a contribution from Fi-sha:

Gandhi-ji says

"The Roots of Violence is Wealth without work,
Pleasure without conscience,

Knowledge without character,
Commerce without morality,
Science without humanity,
Worship without sacrifice,
Politics without principles".

  1. Our beautiful country has reached the pits. How low can we go? Correct, correct, as low as a bottomless pit. In the meantime, Lingam and the aggrieved parties will be given Tunships for services rendered to the country. Tiuniamah ka fahai!

  2. Birds of the same feathers always flock together. Fish of the same species school together. Cats, dogs and mice do not normally mix.

People with similar beliefs also share similar traits. Just as great minds thinking alike, fools also share a common wisdom.

    A GOOD MAN DOES NOTHING.

  3. You got to excuse Nazri. After all he has to justify his existence let alone a member of parliament as well as cabinet minister. He knows the kind of scum that he is and he needs company. V.K. I am sure will keep him in good company. After all did not Nazri imply that V.K. could be a con artist?

  4. Nazri of the "3,000 taxis" fame was himself cleared by the then ACA on the grounds that he was not corrupt and I recall someone saying he was "immoral".
Assuming he drives a different taxi everyday it would take him about 9 years to fill his quota.
For next GE, PR must promise the Rakyat that all investigations cleared by the ACA/MACC will be reopened, and that the MACC bosses, AG & IGP will be investigated.
The Rakyat, while knitting, would love to see the tumbrils rolling to the guillotines. I do hope PR leaders wake up to that instead of pussy footing around that "forgive" malarkey.

  5. That Nazi @ Nazri character confouds all rational thinking people with his too often drivel that has become very nauseating.

We can expect very enlightening speeches and comments from elected representatives from many parts of the world but of late Malaysian ministers, MPs and even the legislative assembly members have tarnished the very image of the country and democracy by their dimwitted and idiotic comments.

Nazri and Kerismoodin have been vying for the honours and trying to outdo the other by their version of morality, justice and fairplay.

Zorro, these myopic politicians would not care or even bother to read and understand what you have posted.

  6. Morality should be given more importance than the law. Just as much as the spirit of the law should be given more importance than the letter of the law. In both instances if there is a conflict that causes any confusion and ambiguity it is the sworn duty of the government and the legal fraternity to right the wrong. In some countries just for reasons of immorality and scandals politicians and people of standing will die by their own hands (not that I am advocating that our blokes jump down from the 14th. Floor of a high building)!! I am ashamed there is no more shame in Malaysia and especially so in a land where the majority of the people pray 5 times a day - I cannot but wonder and be amazed by how they can face their God!

  7. It is always a bad idea to mix religion with governing a nation. Do not go down that route.

  9. Whenever this Idiot by the name of Nazri opens his foul mouth, stupidity flows out like sewage run-offs!

Just because he's in charge of the legal section in the PM's dept, this idiot assumes he can make sweeping statements that covers-up for the misdeeds of his fellow BN cronies.
His actions will not only drive away potential investors but also make all right thinking Malaysians distrust the present stupid gomen even more and make Malaysia the laughing stock in the eyes of the international community. Malaysia Boleh!

  11. Hi Zo - How about this from Mao as another side to your thinking.....

" Morality does not have to be defined in relation to others...People like me want to ...satisfy our hearts to the full and in doing so have the most valuable moral codes!

Of course there are people and objects in the world but they are all there only for me!

    Cheers - jo

  12. Just 1 question to Nazri -
So your Barisan Government has no 2 hoots about morality? Especially when it has a direct connection with a top Judicial officer and the Judiciary of this country? Meaning they can all go and screw all the prostitutes in town openly and your Government still maintain you can separate morality from the fineness of legalities?
Honestly, you may need to go back and ask your parents on the finer qualities of life on what maketh a man.

  13. But alas who among all the so called minister has the moral high to challenge and to make right the wrong that was done and bring to book the culprit or culprits. The answer is a everyone guess. There is none.
It is so easy for the power that be to bring all the corrupted person who have perverted the country judiciary all high and sundry but yet they would not because all of them from the top to the least are involved in corruption lest they be expose of their heinous activities.
