THIS morning, I had the best news since coming into PD for the Bagan Pinang by-election. Blogger Daniel Yong sms me that the Penang State Government has put up the NO TO ISA billboard. When this was proposed to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng during a Press Conference to welcome new Adun for Permating Pasir, the Barisan Rakyat Bloggers proposed that Pakatan Rakyat states put up No to ISA billboards to announce to visitors coming into Penang. Daniel Yong worked tirelessly by producing many design propsals. Syabas to Guan Eng and his team for walking the talk. Daniel says that he will post a pic of the billboard tonight. I hope it is a billboard per se, sturdy and not filmsy to attrack vandals.
Getting this good news on the eve of the Bagan Pinang kind of augurs well for PR, Yes? It is a rough and tough fight here and a near impossible climb the scale the postal vote summit. The indecisive Indian votes have cast some gloom but the PAS elite seemed confident. I share their optimism. But at the end of the day I hope everybody will be convinced that it is the PEOPLE who has the power. It is the nurturing of this power that will determine who wins.....nurturing and not frenzy caring by BN.
i thought indian votes are insignificant based on the previous comments regarding buah pala and others issue way back then.indians can see the lies of bn and pakatan rakyat plus the bangsa malaysia bloggers!
ReplyDeletebtw,so now we called them indians or "they" not malaysian.man! you people are full of shit!!!
just say out loud this country is for the chinese and malay.so,chinese please stop calling us brother or what!you bunch of closet bigots!
Lets work hard to kick ISA out from Bagan Pinang.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a sad day for Malaysia if the Indian voters in Bagan Pinang get swayed by the free sarees and muruku flour from the BN. I guess there are some things we cannot change. (Dedicated to Anon, Oct 10, 6.20pm)

this country will be a much better place to live
keep it up , and you have the support from your fellow malaysian friends
It is ok brother 1Malaysia knows that you guys have been working very hard and come tomorrow it is all in the hand of GOD. By his grace anything can happen.
ReplyDeleteTake care and my prayer that you guys will remain healthy and fight another day. But I still believe we will get this BP.
Dear Zorro,
ReplyDeleteWhatever billboards they put up in Pulau Pinang will definitely not affect Bagan Pinang!
After all, these billboards will be paid by the Rakyat!!!
What is important is whether the ADUN-to-be in BP is able to serve the Rakyat who will vote for him.
Malaysia is a Democratic country, so let the Rakyat decide!!!
Good one. Right on the nail head. Both r ISA. Both to be rejected outright. And with good reasons too.

I really really confused...WHY INDIANS NEED TO VOTE HERE? THESE PPL ARE MALAYSIANS.....NOT INDIANS!!!
ReplyDelete"I guess there are some things we cannot change", Greenbug.
ReplyDeleteThe pursuit of change is a sequence of actions, not a sentence. The facade that is hung only when convenient and, followed by derogatory subtleties is not an attempt of change, merely a familiar paternalistic racism.
Maybe we should reflect on that. The "Do what I say, but don't do what I do" mentality is tiring. Folks need to get down from their high horses and face the practical aspects of reality.
Don't cry foul out of mere ignorance, and superficiality. You simply make yourself part of the problem.

If the Indians go for short-term gains like voting for Barisan there's nothing we can do. I must remind the Indian community that they falling into the trap of Umno. dont sell your soul for a few dollars more.
ReplyDeleteThe Indian should have take the goods and vote PAS.
ReplyDeleteyess good sign for BN

I can FEEL the excitement all the way from here. It's been like a carnival in my kampong too, what with the JHEOA staging a "mesra minda" project in the village just to welcome their D-G on his first official visit. Umno culture lah. Bodek anyone with pangkat. Wish I could be hobnobbing with the Special Bunch right now! Hugs all around (will be monitoring closely tomorrow... :-)
ReplyDeletebravo PAKATAN RAKYAT. we all together.

It’s part of Umno/Bn’s culture to make an assessment of how much a human is worth, the same way they would put a price tag on animals – cows, goats, pigs etc. The deal is struck when the price is right. So we see how people in coats and ties would prostitute themselves for millions of ringgit in the form of projects while the poorer kampong folks would do for a mere two hundred or three hundred ringgit hand-outs.
ReplyDeleteToday is the opportunity for Bagan Pinang voters to stand up to Umno/Bn and tell them straight in the face that they (the voters) are no prostitutes; neither goats or pigs; that they reject Umno and their candidate, Isa Samad – the epitome of Umno/Bn’s corruption and immorality.
Accept the hand-outs whatever they maybe. There’s no need to be grateful to Umno/Bn because that’s not their grandfathers’ money. It’s our money. So vote for Pas today and send Isa Samad into the sea.
Long live Pas. Long live Pakatan Rakyat.
i pray that PAS win then all you guys can go drink your alchohol out in the open sea.....all muslims will not handle alchoholic drinks in hotels, bars, restaurants etc and then Port Dickson will be for 'Dicks' you are bloody blind and stupid or what....wake up la...these people will hold your hands and kiss your arse to get the votes and then they will pas water on all of you....real bloody pricks.
ReplyDeleteNow. All of a sudden there is a surge of how Malaysian Indians should be called. I've seen a few comments made by some anonymous guys angry for calling the Indians Indians. Can this Indian please tells us how to address them. If they are called Malaysians then the message is not being able to go through. So, has one got to go up the stage and keep on repeating Malay..Ind..Why so sensitive.
ReplyDeleteWhats more important here is your rights bro. You wanna feel good with BN, then go ahead, we aint gonna stop you. You seem to be an intelleigent person so use your intelligence to decide which part of the woods you wanna be. Good luck MALAYSIAN INDIAN. If that suits you.
The unthinkable that none of us want to believe is happening.
ReplyDeleteUMNO wins with bigger majority!
SIGH!
THE BAGAN PINANG WIN IS A GIFT TO THE PM NAJIB RAZAK FOR KEEPING HIS PROMISES TO THE RAKYAT ESP THE INDIANS.IT IS CLEAR SIGN THE INDIANS ARE WARMING TO NAJIB.ISA SHOULD NOT TAKE CREDIT IF NOT FOR NAJIB'S POPULARITY HE COULD HAVE ESILY LOST THE SEAT.PAKATAN OUGHT TO LEARN A LESSON HERE AND START CLEANING UP THEIR BACKYARD.
ReplyDeletePARAM
