POINTLESS IF YOU INCLUDE THESE TWO ......

YOU have to take sides. Sitting on the fence, with both legs on each side of the fence can be painful. Today I was quite pleased when I read that the PM was determined to address the blatant corruption exposed by the Auditor General's report. I wanted to go out to do a spot of fishing with my buddies until I read further........no I am doing no fishing tonight. No mood.....after reading this:

"We will use the law against those found to be involved in irregularities but if there are cases which we cannot take to court, we will use administrative action like a demotion or a transfer," said the prime minister.

and

The task force headed by the chief secretary to the government Mohd Sidek Hassan would also include Finance Ministry secretary-general Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Abdullah, Public Service Department director-general Ismail Adam and auditor-general Ambrin Buang himself.

and then the bomb-shell......

They would have the power to rope in attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission if the need arose.

That's it! Why not, after reading THIS

  3. The moment they form another task force or inter departmental or ministerial high powered committee to investigate this, that and the other, you can be assured that:

    1. They will take forever to make their findings.

    2. The very transparent investigation WILL NOT be made public.

    3. No one will be found guilty of anything other than the office boy, tea lady and jaga.

    4. Theree will be a recommendation to form a new department or Ministry to look into these cases on a permanent basis.

Thus Quangos will begat Super Quangos.

Don't think so? Go find out what happened into the committee set up to look into the previous Auditor General's Report?
