NOW THIS IS CRUEL! 1MALAYSIA, 1 TOILET!

WHAT IS CRUEL? Putting this story on N3 (Star) is! It is stretching the PM's 1 Malaysia orgasmic outpourings and diluting its portent substance too thin. The PM has already french-capped in Paris that from 1 Malaysia would evolve 1 Region and ultimately 1 World. We don't need a lowly Terengganu State Education, Higher Learning, Human Resource, Science and Technology Committee Chairman Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman to outdo the PM. This guy is too overloaded (portfolio wise - 4 in 1) and had to unload this "1 Toilet policy in a move to liberalise education, where teachers ...and even school principals ...will soon have to share toilets with their students". Hello, this way shit will fly and we don't ever need the fan!

He must have strained deliberating over "this policy in line with the 1 Malaysia concept, and teachers and students could have a feeling of oneness"and  dropped the matter with "we want students to have a sense of belonging that we believe would inspire them to excel further in their education" and before exiting the outhouse proclaimed "when students share the toilets with the teacer, they (the students) will believe that they are on par with academicians and this automatically invokes a sense of being important to an organisation, which, in this case is the school."

For hygiene purposes I am against this sharing of 1 toilet. I am proposing this 4 in 1 concept (ABOVE). However the school management can be creative if it believes in some exchange programs!

I await my good friend Chegu Nazir to do a piece on this!

  3. I beg to differ one thing though, in America we college students share the same toilets with the college professors. Over there ranks like PhD does not entitle you to have your own toilets.

When I first work at USM (back in 2001 right after I came back from the States), I see that they still practice this separation, lecturers have their own toilets and students are expected to use the ones allocated for them. Funny, how an institution such as USM would do such a thing, in still practicing ranks and separation between students and lecturers. I was taught in America that students should not be afraid of lecturers. We talk to professors as if we were friends. Laughing and all, but still we respect them as being our teachers. I don't understand why our universities are still cooped up in this concept of separation and ranks.

On the other hand, we Malaysians seriously need to understand the do's & don'ts on using toilets. Probably we don't come from the same family that use the same type of toilets (some use seated toilets, some others squat ones). It's about time we have Toilet Education 101 for Malaysians.

  6. This Ahmad Razif must have contracted Syphilis in his brains from frequenting public loo to often. He should be talking about upgrading of studies instead of pissing about with the janitorial faculty.

  8. I think it's a sarcasm. Simply means that UMNO is shit already and since almost all the government machinery are in deep shit now why not dump them together in 1 big toilet, hence 1toilet of 1Malaysia..ha!ha!ha!

  9. wow! sharing a toilet will inculcate a sense of belonging that would inspire them to excel further in their education?
double wow!! when students share toilets with their teacher, they will believe that they are on par with academicians..."

get real man!! 1toilet - it means the students now know their teachers' shit smell the same as theirs!

... and this idea came from some education chairman's mouth.

no wonder our education standard has gone ... the opposite way!

    Latest hypothesis in oneness
Those who piss together as one
Will be likely to stick together as one

  12. I like the idea of sharing the same toilet for teacher and students. I hope this will improve toilet hygiene in the school.
We should not shoot down any idea that is not commonly seen around us. Any good idea no matter how small should improve Malaysian image.

  13. haha, this reminds me of the REVOLUSI TANDAS campaign launched by Najib couple of years ago ( I think 2006). haa, now I clearly see the link between his previous catchphrase (tandas berkualiti) with 1malaysia.

    still remember the song?

Tandas berkualiti sudah tidak bau masam
bayar dua puluh sen boleh duduk sampai malam

oh tandas berkualiti, oh berak senang hati
oh tandas berkualiti, oh berak senang hati

  14. What is Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman's qualification? Is he himself inspired to excel just because he shares the same toilet as his boss? Our children are not inspired to excel in their education and feel a oneness with the family just because they share the toilet with us, the parents who are paying for their education, at home.We do not want them to think that they are on par with the teacher. Rather we want them to be motivated and inspired by dedicated, competent and wise teachers. If adults make such foolish suggestions, is it any wonder why the students think we are stupid and not worth listening to?

  18. If 1Toilet means teachers and students are equal, does 1Malaysia mean Malay, Chinese, Indians, Kadazans, Ibans, Punjabi, and all races in Malaysia are equal?

If not, shut the shit up

  20. I don't mind the 1 toilet idea. But to make it a law and associate it with the 1 Malaysia slogan.....is a tad (maybe a lot) too far and idiotic. Just have a campaign for it.

If "1Malaysia" goes down well with the Malaysian public, then why does
    "1Toilet" need to come up??

  22. The most important thing about 1 Malaysia is 1 bangsa, 1 really united Malaysian and not 1 Malaysia of Malay, Chinese, Indian dan lain lain. Until now, 1Malaysia is nothing but a name with an empty shell. Brittle and hollow.

  23. Fantastic idea from the brain dead Ahmad Razif Abd. Rahman. I'm sure he will next propose 1PUSSY where he will share his wife with the rest of 1UMNO as a show of solidarity and unity.

  26. While the idea of teachers and students sharing toilet is by itself worthy of consideration, to actually call it 1Toilet and attaching it to PM's 1Malaysia is just ridiculous.

Having said that, most universities already have such arrangements but to expect primary school teachers to share toilets with their students (7 to 12 years olds) is just not practical. These small kids don't shoot straight! The intention maybe is to increase students' self-esteem, but it may in fact result into teachers losing theirs.

  28. This so called 1 this 1 that might have originated from the Felda scheme in the seventies; the peneroka's house.

The peneroka at that time was given 1 house with 1 bedroom, 1 living room (actually the living room and bedroom are the same), 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom.

And the PM at that time was ... .

Yeah, the PM at that time was none other than Najib's father, Tun Abd Razak. So maybe that's how 1Malaysia came to Najib's mind.
