el Zor, yes : my lord's followers were mostly fishermen & the fisherman's friend lozenges have very often healed my sore throat !
jimmy carter was a peanut farmer....gerald ford was an american footballer...reagan was a b grade actor....they all became president of the us.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, Bernard. Fishmongers work hard for living, an honest living. I hope every time, he eats a fish, he will remember what he said about fishmongers,
ReplyDeleteThe disciples of Jesus were fishermen and today they are made saints. Jesus trusted them to carry on His work on earth. And they became fisher of men for God.
"Common people are the best in the world: that's why God made so many of them." - President Abraham Lincoln
ReplyDeleteUMNO politicans were not happy the fisherman didn't offer them mermaids! Hmmm, where did they get that from, Najib?
ReplyDeleteAbe Uji's the one who will net in the votes at Manek Urai! Go, Zorro & Co! :-)
ReplyDeletesorry i did not walk up to u guys to say hello at the roti canai shop morning of nomination day. But what a sight to see u three gents with 2 of you (hawkeye?)catching 40 winks!
ReplyDeleteMike, you should have because we can always go back to the 40 winks. We always like to meet people. The 400 winks was necessary as we could only have less than 3 hrs the previous night.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong at all in honest and principled fishermen wanting to be elected politicians because the electorate knows that the qualifying criterion for that job is still on that "honest and principled" bit rather than on any "educated and clever/still stupid" bit.
ReplyDeleteWhy, wasn't even Jesus/Isa himself a fisherman at times? And who knows, perhaps that had something to do with why he was such a good fisher of men too.
Best odds for the knackered horse in MU: 100/1.
"Imagine Power To The People" John Lennon.
FORMER FISHERMEN WERE FISHERS OF MEN
ReplyDeleteEven Jesus Christ chose some fishermen
To be his earliest disciples
Since they too could behave as gentlemen
Abiding by his holy principles
