I INCONVENIENCED GUS AND JONG AND FOR NOTHING!

"NOTHING" (as in title above) meant a total waste of time, money and whatever resources expended. We left KL at 11:00pm Wednesday night. Traffic along the North-South was as usual heavy even around this time of night. At 12:35 Gus' 4-wheel seized. It was scary, waiting along the emergency lane whilst huge truckers went past. Plus Ronda efficiently hauled our vehicle into Bidor. Because it was past midnight, we had to fork out Rm100 to get the three of us into Ipoh where Jong met us at the Tasek Road McD outlet until 3:15am.

Gus was going to be landed with a bomb for repairs etc. A complete engine overhaul, hauling fees back to KL and probably a replacement engine change. I feel awful and guilty to have to put him through this. We took a hotel room that Jong had earlier booked and we might use it for only 3 hours before we meet Jong at 7:00am.

We OKT (Orang Kena Tahan) met at the DAP HQ where MB Datuk Seri Nizar was on hand to lend support. At 10:00am we proceeded, not to the Majistrate Court but to the Ibu Pejabat Daerah Ipoh.

The police presence was overwhelming. But we were not allowed to gain exit into the Ibu Pejabat. (The weapon scanners were not in place?) MB Nizar asked why? When they finally slided the gate wide enough for single entrance, the 64 of us were allowed in. Photographers and suporters were denied entry.
We were not allowed entry into the Ibu Pejab office and therefore loitered and waited for judgment on the porch. CID Chief ASS (oppss) ASP or DSP Glenn Anthony sheepishly announced that we could all go home until called again because investigations were not completed. Just like that!

We were told that we were arrested because we infringed the 500m injunction. So what more is there to investigate. What does One Stop Centre mean? They would have known that investigations were not completed and why did not they tell us earlier instead of telling us now. And why the CID involvement? What crime are they conjuring up. After a few questions that were not satisfactorily answered Glenn asked for one last question. I said: "No questions because you have not, will not or cannot give us any good answers." We tropped out of the site.

QUESTION: A reader "law-student" asked what we could be charged for:

Anonymous lawstudent said...

What can they charge you with? here are some of the things they may come up with...

1) Illegal assembly

2) waging war against the King

3) causing public mischieve

4) inciting disruption of public law and order

5) Endangering lives of civilians.

on top of that, the mamak stall can sue for

1) loss of business
2) damage of property

is the above possible?

  2. Makes me wonder why the police is so inefficient? Or are they waiting for their political masters to tell them what to do. Hang on a minute, police and politics? Whatthefick.

What a waste of the Rakyat's time.

  4. The next time round, let's make sure it's not arrests for 69 only. The figure MUST GO UP to 6900 so they can all gather for this happy hour in the Police station for the merry fun and revelry. I simply love this gang for what they all stood up for. Thanks, guys. You are all indeed a fine bunch that keeps the flame of democracy burning in this torn Nation.

Your guilt was found in the company of MAD COWS!...they have asked you all to keep away from the 5oom qaurantined zone.

Demand for expenses for their incompetency and inconvenience caused, send the blooming bills to the police dept!
No harm trying...just a matter of principle.

  8. Thank you Zorro, indeed it was a pleasure! Will gladly repeat it though you and Gus may not agree! LOL !!! :D

You guys have sacrificed immensely to society and country and we all appreciate that. Hope the little contribution I know how, helps make things easier and more bearable as each of us as we continue our mission for betterment of nation and its people! We must see to it that this repression, intimidation and humiliation of citizens of Malaysia by this UMNO-led BN Government ends come GE-13.

Let's hope one day we can ALL proudly hold our heads high and together we'll sing "We are the World"!
