WHY SHOULD I DEFEND RPK?

READER "wakil" asked me in an email why am I not defending Raja Petra.

WHY SHOULD I DEFEND PETE?

HE HAS DONE NO WRONG.

IN FACT HE HAS BEEN WRONGED!

BY THE GOVERNMENT.

BY THE POLICE FORCE.

BY HIS SON.

HOWEVER SOME OF READERS IN THIS BLOG
HAVE COME OUT IN SUPPORT OF RPK.

Dear Anon 1:20,

It is unfortunate that some of us seem to take delight in the failings and misfortunes of others. It's an incurable disease. But what saddens us more must be that we have developed such perverted sense of justice. Kuman di sebalik gunung kau nampak, gajah di depan mata kau tidak.

No one condones bad behaviour. At least far as I know the young man (Raja Petra's son) has admitted his guilt. So there is still decency in his heart. As a parent I'd take comfort in that than to learn that my child still wants to deny an obvious guilt and digs himself deeper into trouble...

Anon 1:20, there are bigger crimes committed by bigger people in higher places and we for our impotence and lack of will have allowed such injustices to eat into the foundation of our society. It happens all the time. Small acts of corruption get acres of publicity and those that amount to tens of millions stolen by our leaders are hidden from the public eye. Those are more than common thieves. They are betrayers of our trust, their lies are sold to us as truths. The damage they wreak is far more destructive. Some involved blowing up their victims to smithereens. Children of these VIPs too have placed their parents in awkward position. Maybe it's the parents' fault. Maybe not. Should we now blame your parents if you lack fairness, charity and class? Wake up, my friend.

So let's not gloat at the misfortunes of our 'rivals or enemies'. Share with them their frustrations as parents who have tried their best.

Anon 1:20, may the light of love and justice shine in your heart so that you maybe fair and see also the failings of your 'friends and idols'.

What is there to say?

if we or our children have done wrong, we take our punishment.

You think we like certain people who scheme to get our kids off scot free when they murder other peoples kids in Uncle Don restaurant or our kids smuggle kiddie porn into Australia etc etc etc

If RPK's son screwed up, so be it. I don't expect RPK to defend his son, unlike some asshole minister who said his son wasn't involved in the killing of an undergraduate student, Darren, but his son's friends did it; that was his version.

I also recall Tony Blair's son being hauled up by the Metropolitan Police for reckless driving and Tony didn't give a flying fuck if his son was charged or fined or jailed for a week. An offense is an offense.

So, if RPK's son is a criminal, then he should be duly punished. And I don't expect RPK to defend him, no way.

If one wants to argue if the son's behaviour is a reflection of RPK's family values, then let me direct you to the many instances of foul behaviour amongst the sons and daughters of our "respected" BN MPs. I will substantiate this statement - check out the leaked photos in gutteruncensored of one BN minister's son drinking alcohol and screwing around with other VVIPs half naked daughters.

RPK's son being a criminal does not mean that RPK will bring our country into ruin. But having thuggish people in government and ministerial posts will bring our country down.

It doesn't even take to be caught in the act. All we need is some idiot, and thank GOD that guy is a idiot, to admit that the DPM post as per the BN view is a "LUCRATIVE" position. What the hell did he mean by that, I'll leave it to the readers to conclude.

  2. Innocent Till proven guilty.
By reading the msms report about RPKs son,i find it very hard to believe that Robbery was the motive.
Maybe ,the other guys were involved in some deal/arrangement gone sour.Which "robber" will barge into someones house and "steal" keys.
I conclude that the guys owed Rpks son money and had been given the go around, till he decided to take whats his by confronting them in the manner he did which could be misinterpreted as "robbing".
And, what has it got to do with the father for the "sins" of the child.
Look into our backyard before casting the first stone.

  4. I am father myself, I went to school to collect my son report card and the teacher told me that my son is very playful and very naughty etc. and he is almost the last boy in the class. Well, I know this case is far from what RPK going through right now but I am still upset, embarrass etc but this is still my son.. To our brother Pete, I only have this to say, as long as we don't give up there is still chance that we will recover from all these.. We will pray for you and your family..

  5. I think many have gleefully taken advantage of RPK's misery by rubbing it in.

Some anti-RPK persons are perhaps retaliating for the fact that some bloggers (unfairly) went to town with the MACC Chief for his son's conviction down under for sordid porn pics in his telephone. The MACC Chief did not help his cause by saying that it was normal.

I think there is a valuable lesson here for all to learn from. As a father, I know how badly I will be affected emotionally should my son's sins come home to roost!

  6. On reflection of our each an individual destiny in this lifetime. We have a role to play in this society.

It is destined for RPK's son to demonstrate to the powerful & mighty leaders of the country need to live by their principles which they advocate in public-Respect, Honour and Responsible-Leaders of Malaysia.

When reality takes its turn onto leaders/ministers' children's misconduct, the so-called leaders would summoned all their "network connections" to enable their acts be swept under the carpet and not be seen nor heard the next couple of days.

There is no doubt for RPK and family members to feel sorry for his son but the truth is that RPK practices what he preaches to the Malaysians and the world citizens.....Sow Shall You Reap!!!

The law of nature has a peculiar manner to teach a humanity. As for his son, at age 32, he is soon come to terms with Nature....Whatever We Do Unto Others and Others Would Do Unto Us. His son has to pay the price of his misconduct and by virtue of the fact he admitted his guilt is the reflection on his life without the parent's protection or summon egoistical approaches to release him from the material bondage.

Youngsters of the elite whose parents stole the pubic money and material possession will have their own children watching over their parents misconduct.

Many of their children whom were so disillioned with their parents' behaviour and public conduct have lost the birthright to lead as righteous citizens and many have gone astray....look at Nazri son....what is the future for him without the father's protection.

Well, we wish those who indulged into the world of negativity will have RPK's son pave the path of humility and reality.

  7. I would like to call on our MSM to think real hard and search within themselves before they spin this issue out of context. Don't you ever use this issue to lay blame on the father who has done more for you...yes you, and your future generation than all the rotten politicians that is suppose to just that but didn't. How much more must the old man go thru before your freaking conscience start pricking on you.

  8. Most likely the Pantat *** is going for RPK by charging his son in court over some probable trump up charges (Kugan anyone?). and for this, fuck you, P***.

even if this isn't true, and RPK son indeed has done those things that they charged him, it kinda bothers me that they are so fast in charging him, but not those son of a bitches and bitches of BN who pilfered from the Malaysians, blow up a Mongolian's mother, went to see Mickey Mouse, have one night stands, bring in pepper spray, etc....

And for that, I repeat: Fuck you, P***.

" 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
21 ¶ But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?"

  10. Well, whatever his son did has nothing to do with RPK. His struggle for a just Government will continue; of course all MSM will paint a very different picture. They'll try to shame him and show the Rakyat that Pete's son is a disgrace and so is the father.

Well, to me.... all that shitty stuffs can go to the drain!

  17. Yes, one can say unfortunate having a son charged. And media you know lah what they do. Knowing its has connected to RPK and RPK is what people know he speaks for.

But what I can say, it could happen to any body. I wouldn’t think RPK is blamable for what his more than grown up son did. It is just like saying one of our sons, nephews or nieces turn drug edict, and no one wants to fall in that track but it happened. I’m pretty sure RPK wants his kid to behave just like many of us, but it happened. The 32 years of age isn’t like 8-year-old boy, no parent would want to employ curfew for 32 years. At the same time, what infuriates us, we all notice that the authority becomes very efficient, when most of the time, even important matters are left untouched or disappeared into thin air. For example, I want to know why the two police men killed Mongolian women. Court of justice is to provide answers to people but they were not even allowed to ask question. We should teach our people to ask question more this important otherwise our people will be forever become yes men and be ran down whenever and whatever by our leaders.

  18. RPK has a brave boy though it is worng on what he has done at least he
dare to face it. Most UMNO or VVIP children are even worst when they did
wrong the VVIP will try to cover up.
In doing so permited the children to be more samseng and sombong. Nothing wrong let him learn and grow up. A lessen learn will be better then none.

  20. Sounds very fishy. Why would he steal so many motorbikes. Is he apart of a theft syndicate or rather made out to be one... just does not comprehend. Maybe he is supplying motorbikes to the Samseng jalan.... in anycase, he is an adult at 32, nothing to do with RPK.

Seems like father and son are living at a subsistent level. RPK, i will vote you in a flash if you stand for election.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Fishy, fishy, fishy indeed! Could be a set-up using his son to flush the dad RPK out?
Who would steal motorbikes, credit cards, Atm cards etc the whole loot and keep it at home? Too neat to be true lah! :D
    I just don't buy it.

  22. We have bigger criminals and brutal murderers having a free-run but just because they have not been caught, does not mean they are innocent and bring no shame to their family name.

Tun Razak Hussein must be feeling so humiliated, tossing and turning in his grave to learn that his eldest son Najib Prime Minister of Malaysia today, had to swear in the mosque to convince the people of his innocence and that he had nothing to do with the brutal murder of Mongolian Altantuya's murder.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I hope anybody who has access to RPK and his family can provide him the best support possible.

Although we say we take the punishment if we are really guilty, nothing can pain a parent more than to see his children take punishment.

  24. i am with you zorro - the crime of the son is his alone.
neither did rpk defend his own son.

  25. I am one of the many Singaporeans reader of Malaysia Today.

As far as I am concerned, whatever is reported about the Son OF RPK is a 30 over year old man; who is old enough to shoulder personal resposnibility for his own action.

From the island south of Johor, we respect Mr RPK for speaking the truth WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOUR...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Fine RPK's son committed a crime and should be charged and all.

BUT what about the brutal killing of Darren Kang at Hartamas by Nazri's son???

    ReplyDelete
  27. No wrong can ever be done by RPK and Pakatan Rakyat. Isn't it?

Its amazing some attack and some make excuses for RPK's son and even try to say he is better then other's children. As much as I cannot ever believe RPK's stories where he accuses without an iota of evidence, when it comes to the son's matter it would be wrong to make anything out of it either way. In the end it is all a private matter.

No one is blameless. We are all human.

    ReplyDelete
  28. RPK's prince deserved if he's involved no matter whether the petty or huge offence.

BUT the justice only seems to take place IF everybody from Sammy Vellu's son to any Minister's or MACC's DG son was brought to competent justice (and judges) not Roo's judges.

You must be pro-UMNO/BN judging from your comments. Just like our Foreign Minister, people are talking about one thing and you are replying to another... nuts for brains. It is so funny to see how intellectually rich you are with your profanities and whatnots. That's why this country is going down the drain having people with such mentality as yours. Do reason with facts and common sense, which by your own words, shows that you either have a very low IQ. So stop degrading yourself puh-leez........

  31. Gandhi had 4 sons only, Harilal, Manilal, Ramdas and Devdas. Gandhi had 13 grandchildren in total.Harilal Gandhi (1888-1948) rebelled most strongly. He renounced all family ties in 1911 and embarked upon a tragic, lifelong path of self-destruction. He became an alcoholic, an embezzler; accounts of his arrests, public drunkenness, and destitution became commonplace. Harilal appeared at his father's funeral in such derelict condition that few recognized him. He died in a tuberculosis sanitarium two months later.

  34. Having a father who is brilliant and well-known may have caused suffocating stress on the son.I guess it will take unconditional love, patience as well as continuous strive no matter how long the odds will be and I'm certain, one day,the Prodigal son will return home.

Meanwhile we need to give RPK & Marina some personal space to overcome this difficulty which in fact is a common struggle faced by many parents.

Let us keep all of them in our prayers and offer our assistance in whatever ways that we can.

  36. I am a fervent religious man.I lovingly taught my son throughout his childhood until I see much maturity in him. When he reached age 21 I firmly spoke to him "son Dad have watched, guided and taught you until today and you are 21.I would like you to take back the responsibility and responsible for your own, like and whatever consequences that is to come whether is good or back.In your 21 year on earth I have stood many times in your place when you gone wrong in different ways.If I continue to be like that it won't do any good for you and you will never learn and be a even better person."So son take care and be freed".After this day he still made some wrongs because of greed and push by peer pressure. He went through the legal punishment and it pains me when all this happened but I am glad and joyous today because for what he faced for the wrongs he did and no one protected him even there were strings to pull to save him from jail, today he became a strong leader and able to share his shame to all his subordinate to touch their lives and made many more to be leaders.I am sharing not for my honours and glory but hope our leaders will lead by example so that they themselves and their children will becomes good leaders of our nation or else things will not progress.
May we learn to take the pain and let our children grow and take themselves to higher plane by allowing them to face the truth and bear the consequences.
