SIR, TIME TO TAKE BACK PERAK.

YES WE DID.
This win heralds a somewhat new beginning. Very significant was the presence of young Malaysians. Even my blogger buddy whom I have yet to meet, Datuk Sak, aka SAKMONGKOLAK47 (HERE) noticed this. The young discerning Malaysians who sneer at the rampant corruption so blatantly prevalent in this BN Government, is beginning to make their presence felt.....and there will be some 5million who will vote in the next General Election.

This young breed of Anak Bangsa Malaysia is standing up and demanding that they be counted in the governance of their country. When asked the results tonight Gus Gan told a group of Malay youths the outcome, this was their response: Kita sudah menang.....no more PAS won or a Malay candidate won....it was WE WON. Walking back with Rodi from the counting centre a group of flag waving PAS supporters, slowed down, wound down and told Gus, " Cina sudah jadi saudara kita."
This is only a whisper.....wait for the strident call of Anak Bangsa Malaysia....they are on the wings....waiting to link arms, AS ONE NATION ONE PEOPLE, towards a clean, fair, and new Malaysia.

+++++

DID ANYONE NOTICE ON TV AWANI WHEN YB NIZAR WAS ANNOUNCED THE WINNER, HE WAS PULLED AWAY AND THE STATION PANNED OVER TO THEIR REPORTER.
UNTIL WE GET RID OF BN, WE WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THESE UNCOUTH SORE LOSERS.

  1. Let this message from the 2 Bukit wins be clear - they are both won by the Malaysian rakyat. Not so much PAS or PKR. The voters had spoken for this Nation. And remember Barisan lost because the voters had rejected their ideals and policies of unfair discrimination and corrupt practices. We are now a Nation of 50+ years. Time to show responsibilities with maturity. Not flip-flop ideologies and out-dated disharmonious fallacies. Take out the ISA for an urgent start to a new beginning. Barisan, are you listening?

Congrats. BN had committed some major blunders leading to the election. Anyway, what you are espousing is not that different from what some people in UMNO are espousing. As of now, its still a minority, but who knows, this message may spread, and we may not appear to be on opposite sides afer all.

  34. Pls don't be too optimistic, the situation is maintaining status quo. If there is a big win like may be 5000 in B. Gantang then that is different, i think a lot of Malay still stand with UMNO, so that is very difficult to make any change without strong support from Malay.

  38. I think it is in the opposition interest to get young voters to register for voting. This was part of Obama's strategy and it work very well to his advantage. I'm surprised that PR has not really look into this issue apart from talking about young people support. It's time they translate this into action.

One thing I noticed here is that there is a strong spirit of camaderie between the Pas supporters and the Chinese and Indian voters who supported Nizar. The Pas folks were truly appreciative of their Chinese and Indian brothers and sisters who extended their support for Nizar, and many Pas supporters simply thanked anyone they saw for their support.

In turn, many of these non-Muslim Pakatan/Nizar supporters have begun to see the folks in Pas in a new light and value their simplicity, honesty and goodness.

Slowly it plunges into its quagmire
    Holding dreams long lost ago
    The shell life has expired
It is now on extended leave

    The people want change
For the betterment of the country
    And the generations to come
    Enough of the racial policies
Distribution isn't fair to all citizens

You are out of the game
You are fired by the people

  54. Congrate PAS!
Winning is one part and delivering promises is another.
Your voters are not voting you for the sake of hating the other party, their wishes and expectation are ‘membukit’ to see how much better you can be!
Remember, there 19 over thousands are still on the other side of the fence, probably more considering the turn up is quite low.
It’s a great feeling to see the DAP and PAS first time working so closely together to defeat the mighty BN.
But always that basic question on the difference of their ideology remains uncertain. Let us not to mention PKR, their existence are seasonal, just like ‘Semangat 46’ will vanish at the end of the season.
What left to be thought is the level of sincerity of the ‘engagement’ between PAS & DAP (can’t call a marriage yet) that yet to be established.
While there are good coordination between the grass root level of both (especially during election), the top leaders have not shown much progress.
    I only see this as a temporary JV on project basis. Lets us take a quick look on some differences of each party;

PAS – firm stand on Hudud law and Islamic country/state, lead by mainly hardcore Islamic leaders
DAP – firm stand on equal Malaysian, strongly anti Hudud & Islamic State and against the bumiputra rights.
PKR – I would say, it’s all about Anwar struggle and revenge. If this man gone, PKR will be history.

We will probably have another 4 years before the next GE and I guess Najib will do something very right and change the whole landscape of the Malaysian politic.
He will ‘rujuk’ (re-marry) PAS once divorced!! This is possible, as for now it’s only Nik Aziz who stands in between.
And what probably Najib need to do is to create another 2 TPM post, one for PAS and another for MCA.
Remember, no matter how much we hate Mahathir, he is now on the BN side and we definitely can’t ignore his capability. He has been very good in politic and he is still in good health.
Some shocking and surprises will continue to hit the Malaysian politics and guess what? The next GE, BN will get back their 2/3 majority with PAS on their side and chinese will be on MCA side with the new TPM post. Only issue is MIC need to get rid of Samy quickly!
Don’t have to trust or hate me for saying this, remember our parents used to scold us:

“do your homework now or you will not go out and play”

..and I'm considering to re-join UMNO - to support the 'restructuring' and do away with the quota system! I still think that 'restructuring UMNO & BN' is still a better option, instead changing to new government!

I still choose to work with devil that i know... rather another DEVIL that I don't...

  63. @Idzan. Before you go on compromising your credibility any further by talking nonsense about BN's and EC's fairness, do read a neutral article by Bridget Welsh, a well-read political analyst (Pakatan's rising hills, Najib's declining slope at http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/101914)
I invite you to make a trip to the next by-election to see how much your understanding on Malaysian elections' fairness is ill-formed. Zorro may be happy to lend you a seat in his "Special Bunch"'s blue Blitz as an eye-opener.
Alternatively, impartial MAFREL should be enough to open your eyes (e.g. http://mafrel.wordpress.com/2009/04/07/spr-does-not-allow-mafrel-to-observe-votes-counting/).

"[Najib] will ‘rujuk’ (re-marry) PAS once divorced!! This is possible, as for now it’s only Nik Aziz who stands in between."

I beg to differ. It is not only Nik Aziz, but all PAS YBs in mixed seats. Basically most of those outside the North-Eastern part of the Peninsula. Count in influent and enlightened leaders like Dr Dzulkifli Ahmad, Khalid Samad, Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud and now MB Nizar. Do not forget the growing importance of Kelab Penyokong PAS (http://thenutgraph.com/non-muslims-for-pas) and the fact PAS was nearly destroyed after it joined UMNO. Any PAS leader worth his or her salt cannot ignore this.

Others like Dr Hassan Ali may well join UMNO soon (where they actually belong if you ask me), bringing their influence in PAS to nought. Wong Chin Huat explains very well why I think you are wrong in "Will PAS turn blue?" (http://thenutgraph.com/article-1795.html).

I believe PAS and non-Muslims will successfully be together for a long time. Good luck in UMNO, but do not forget your life jacket ;)

    ReplyDelete
  65. This Idzan: The RM 1.20/hr UMNO is paying you isn't enough to be such an obvious bootlicker.

Your command of English initially suggests a certain minimum level of intelligence and education, until you come along with your fawning praise of the 'fair and impartial EC' and 'BN's clean campaign'. By this point no credibility remains.

Have a little self-respect and stop prostituting yourself to UMNO-BN. Open your eyes.
