YOU CAN'T PLEASE THEM ALL, CAN YOU?

On Sunday, I posted a story on Shay. It had no undertones. No politics, no religion. It was about a disadvantage kid who played a game of baseball. But that little story opened up a can of worms.....and from you know where:

But these are the only three cans of worms thrown at Shay......the majority of the 31 comments were Malaysians who were TOUCHED by Shay. What does that tell you......there is hope because these majority rah-rah people say that the Malaysian glass is half full.....and only three boo-boo boys say it is half empty.

Some of those who were TOUCHED:

I have no idea whether this is a fiction served for inspiration or is it a true story.

Whichever it may be, it did create an impact. And i believe i can speak for most readers on this one.

A good read for sure. But i hope it goes beyond that. Ideal stories are often heard of, but hardly witnessed.

We surely will, when the ISA is abolished.

Thanks Bro' Zorro.

Bro' Argus Eye, I have read a strikingly similar story before with the only difference being the Game those boys played. But, besides what those boys kindly did, they were indeed the winners that day despite losing the game.

Folks, what touched me most, personally, was the final factual statement in that story that I read that God puts an Underprivileged amongst us and many assume that the under-privileged person is being tested when the actual subject/s of the Almighty's test are the people around that underprivileged person, WE.

Take care, Folks.

Zorro, we have been stuffed with all the rotten and selfish politicking for many good months. How refreshing and touching your story of Shay...there's still hope and when there is hope, we will always find love. "Love is nature's way of giving and a reason for living"
As a retiree, I have faith and trust in our younger generations to do the right thing.
Please feed our young minds with more story of compassion and love.

Sir,

A great, inspiring and timely story beyond question for ALL Malaysians.

REQUEST: Now, can ALL bloggers PLEASE take this piece by Zorro and upload prominently on your sites -- just in case decision makers and the 'great' Parliament bawdies miss this opportunity to LEARN.

Yes, Bernard!

U can tell de' 3 cans of worms to take a flying f.. @ a rolling doughnut!

The Shay "story" is no peter pan/pakatan......

It is a true story as I have come across the same since 1965, when the Selangor Retarded Childrens Association started.

So there u can of worms!

  2. Dear Zorro,
It's so sad to see people who have let hatred and bitterness harden their hearts. They cannot feel any compassion or pity any more: only power and might are important to them.
May God have mercy on those 3 commentors.

  3. Zorro Chin Lang,
Shay's Day is a story i had read, rereading was still good and inspirational. To the 3 multiheaded hydrae in the can of creepy crawlies, I just have this to add:
they are blighted and blinded and can't see the pearls before them.

  4. Zorro, the 3 in the can of worms are NOT human but the walking dead, zombies with no brains. Can you please close the lid of the can and not allow them out.

    Peace, Admiral Tojo

  5. NOT ALL WILL PLAY BALL

Don't worry about not winning all
For there's always some without gall
Who'll not appreciate until they fall
Then they'll wonder why they don't play ball

  7. Hi Uncle Zorro,

Aiyah, don't mind the 3 stooges lah - there are always a few loony cucko morons lurking around every corner. Just think of like 'water on a duck' - it rolls off their backs so easily.

Keep up your great blog! Cheers.

  10. My goodness. I wish the worms took the trouble to use google to find out about things.

Worm 1 - Not a pakatan story lar. It's a chain email story.

    Worm 2 - You're on crack.

Worm 3 - Are you anti-semantic? You'll understand it if you checked who the author is.

See the link below if you want to ruin the magic. I'm sure the worms would enjoy it.

  11. Dear Uncle Zorro

somewhere in that loving huggy-bear heart of yours, you do realise that those 3 cans of worms are in a much worst position than Shay cos nobody, and i mean nobody, wants em ! they desperately need to be Shay-ed. and you being the kind soul that you are, allowed their comments to be posted - slowly but surely, you will win them over, away from the dark side.

  12. This story has been around for a number of years now. This might have been the third or fourth time I have read it. Every time it touches the heart just as hard as it did the first time.

  13. yes as the phoenix foundation pointed out, this is story that had been around for a long time already. it is one of those many inspiring motivational stories that is passed around and around - people never tired of it (though old, there will still be people who have never heard of it).

  15. Dear Uncle Zorro, thank you for highlighting to us that they are people out there who are 'disabled' in their thoughts and feelings and we should strive that our generation and future shall not be like one. One's actions and thoughts are very much influenced by environment we are brought up. These guys are definitely B(e)N(d) goons.

  16. Zorro, don't waste your time bothering with these silly ninnies! They are those who live in a fantasy island; where there is no sickness, where everyone is born perfect, no one grows old and die!

  17. wow that keris bloke is a real ignorant swine. Did you check his link? little laughing faces at photos of a woman getting assaulted in public for speaking her mind. My goodness, well I suppose it's lucky for everybody that these people only think like this because they are paid to.

Truly a pathetic mentally retarded mentality, no convictions and no morality, only blind loyalty to the man that pays the bills. I ask you, mr keris, does your holy book say that assaulting women for talking about something you do like is acceptable? Read it through and find that specific passage, then we'll talk. What would your mother say?

  18. Aiyah, everything has to have an underlying political agenda these days! Damn stupid flers lah!

I think they didn't bother to read it lah - too long. Perhaps ADHD kut?! So, never read, just whack you only lah!

You have a Shay day, and god bless you and yours, too :)
