PRS: Umno is a bully, so is PBB
A Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) division leader has described Umno at the federal level and Parti Pesaka Bumiputra Bersatu (PBB) in
Taking a cue from the statement of former MCA president Ong Ka Ting who has expressed similar sentiments, PRS publicity chief Beginda Minda said this tendency of one party dominance has an adverse impact on public perception and intra-BN relationships.
“It is my view that in Sarawak, PRS, a component party inside the state and federal Barisan Nasional has been bullied by what could collectively be called the 'BN leadership'," he said in a statement to Malaysiakini
Naturally Badawi denied such bullying but that UMNO fossil of a MisInformation chief opened his big mouth and and you and I know where his foot landed when he asked for proof. Baginda gladly gave the two instances:
The first was during the 2006 state election when a component BN party was ‘allowed’ to steal a PRS seat
“Neither the state nor federal BN intervened effectively to stop a component party from interfering in the affairs of another. Where was BN when effective action was needed?
"It was as if the BN was shutting its proverbial 'eye' to the intra-BN infighting in
The second incident was during the March general election when two of the party’s candidates were rejected without any reason.
Beginda queried why was PBB allowed to choose its candidates to contest on PRS seats.
“Where is the principle that component parties ought to be free to conduct their own affairs and make the selection of candidates themselves? Is this not a case of dominance and bullying?” he asked.
“As a result, PRS was caught in a dilemma. The choices were two: PRS could have rejected the suggested replacements or it could have accepted them.
"A refusal to accept the replacement candidates could have left the party open to accusations of being disloyal to BN, a grave enough political sin. Such a move would have put PRS leadership in hot soup and perhaps alienate the party from BN.
“The impact on PRS was that it was a tremendous 'let down'. To paraphrase Dato Seri Ong, the perception was that a partner in Sarawak BN - the PBB - was being 'too dominant'."
Exactly a month and 1 day ago my daughter Patrina did a posting on Bullying in her blog: Life is a Beach. Read her TAKE on this subject.
I really do not get this about the coalition partners in BN. After all these years they have been bullied and only recently they are crying foul. Did MONEY make them dumb? Did MONEY numb their tongues. Did MONEY castrate and neutered them into toyboys of UMNO?
In real life, when bullied in school we have a few choices: tell your parents, complain to the teacher, join a gang, or change to another school, or hire a guru-gi to throw a spell on the bully. However, if you do none of these, then, to borrow Haris' salvo: You are just JACKSHIT....an expelled lump of shit!
In political life, no point telling your parents (leaders)....they just talk ...taking action is foreign; complain to the teacher (BN Chief). Pointless because he will say, "Where got?"; join a gang (opposition party?)...option always open but where got money?; throw a spell? Datuk KKI will want a huge deposit; change to another school? Aha.....that is probably a good possibility.....PR should be a good school of choice. New Smart School, if I may say so.

Billy Abit Jol a five-term MP for Hulu Rajang and vice-president of Party Rakyat Sarawak, is the sole Barisan Nasional MP to have signed the petition urging the prime minister to prioritise the debate on the Internal Security Act when Parliament reconvenes on Wednesday.
The petition signed by 85 MPs - 81 from Pakatan Rakyat, three independents and one from BN - was delivered to Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s
mca and gerakan talked big about their stand for a review or repeal of the ISA in their recent party elections. now, asked them to sign a motion to debate and that not even for a review or repeal, none of them have the guts to pen it. Reason? Waiting for greenlight from the Leaders. KNN, where are all your balls. Or, I guess MPs from Gerakan and Mca are just spineless eunuchs in the first place.
ReplyDeleteDamn upset!
The bunch of Barisan MPs in Sarawaknever have the guts to speak their minds in the true intersts of the rakyat. Not better than ball lickers, they all dance to the tune of the CM just like the puppets on a string. Just visit the State and look at their infras just on the outskirts of the major towns and cities. Look at the state of condition of their roads and utility services. Yet Sarawak like it's neighbouring Sate of Sabah, is supposedly one of the richest States with its abundance of natural resources. And who stand to gain all these 45 years of Independence? Either the rakyat is so bloody unaware of the realities of their own politics OR the politicians there are taking the rakyat for the greatest rides of their lives. Or both probably. Sarawak does not deserve any more for their pathetic attitude and non-vocal silence from the people on the ground. If they opt to be left out of the main stream of development, let them be. Go continue to play second fiddle by your local politicians. To each his own.

ReplyDeleteWhen times are good, these component parties to the coalition, were stuffed with sweet and juicy cherries, found no time to 'manja'.
ReplyDeleteThe supply is drying up, these cherry pickers are now crying foul!
Come on you creeps, have you got no balls? No one can stop you for changing direction. If you have principle and political morality, you do what is right...but, I doubt you possess such qualities.
Dear Zorro,
ReplyDeleteWatch the movie " In The Valley of Elah " starring Tommy Lee Jones and why he flies the Stars and Stripes upside down in the end of the movie. Valley of Elah is where David defeated Goliath and that is the inspiration for a nation in distress.
darren
Darren, thanks for the heads up. Appreciate this. Will get copy.
ReplyDeleteThese bullies have no love for the country.
ReplyDeleteCould it be because they are mongrel immigrants, like the Yemeni Baldy and Kerala Mamak Kutty, masking as patriotic nationalists to fool the kampung folks???
That's why they plunder and loot without blinking an eye.
They couldn't care two hoots what's happens to this country, because it ain't their country, in the first place.
Zorro,
ReplyDeleteI see you have a beautiful family in the Bahamas. You are a lucky man!
Anyway, I feel the PRS whining is a prelude to exit from the BN coalition.
