SCOTT THONG SENT ME THESE PICS. THANKS SCOTT.

Raja Petra Says His Freedom Depends on Anwar and September 16

On 8 September, 2008, Raja Petra wrote the following:

".... Today, I received many phone calls from concerned friends who told me that the government is considering detaining me under the Internal Security Act ‘very soon’.

If that does happen, then this could probably be the last article I write, at least until 16 September 2008. So I too need Anwar to succeed. If not I will be in Kamunting for quite some time to come and you will not hear from me over the next couple of years.

Yes, I too have placed, not only my money, but also my freedom on Anwar. And if Anwar fails to deliver his promise on 16 September 2008, not only he but I as well am headed for a fall. But I have confidence he will do it. And I have confidence that my stay in Kamunting will not be for two years but for a mere two weeks.

But if I am WRONG…..well, then see you maybe in six or seven years time, because for sure Najib Tun Razak will not release me in 2010 when he becomes Prime Minister. What he would do, instead, would be to rollover my two-year detention another two years, and another two years, and another two years, until I am too old to think and write anymore.

Till we meet again, if we do meet again, take care and keep the flame burning.

There is still a long fight ahead of us in bringing reforms to this beloved country of ours.
- Raja Petra Kamarudin

We met over dinner at the Wharf on Wednesday 10 and Pete announced that Ku Li wanted to meet us. We will have 2 hours with Ku Li before buka puasa at his KL residence.

  1. I AM AGAINST THE ABOLISHMENT OF THE ISA, WHY? AFTER DSAI comes to power a lot of the umno morons will try to create problems, don't forget, during the altantuya court case it has come out that the c4 explosives used to murder altantuya came out of the UTK STORES. WHY HAS NOBODY QUESTIONED THIS STATEMENT. SINCE WHEN HAS THE UTK'S S.O.P. INCLUDED THE USE OF HIGH EXPLOSIVES? ISN'T IT THE DUTY OF UTK JUST TO SAFEGUARD THE VIPs. They are very simmilar to the American Secret service. So why the stock of C4, WHAT OTHER ARMAMENTS DO THEY HAVE IN THEIR CONTROL? BY voting up to my comment you will be supporting my statement that " I WARGANEGARA MALAYSIA DO NOT SUPPORT THE ABOLISHMENT OF THE ISA BECAUSE WHEN THERE IS A CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT, WE THE PEOPLE DON'T WANT THE UMNO AND BN DOGS, TO ABSCOND and run away from this country, we want them to be arrested under the ISA so that there is a proper transitition of power, a complete investigation of all misdeeds in corruption cronisym and nepotism" we want all the umno and bn dogs held under the ISA to taste their own medicine, until all their casses are cleared, if they are innocent than they can retire in peace, buang negeri minimum, for those who are guilty, HANG THEM FOR TREASON FOR CHEATING AND SWINDILING THIS COUNTRY, ALSO FOR INCITING RACIAL HATRED AMONG THE RACES, worse of all for abusing ISLAM for political gain" SO FOLKS support the free rpk campaign boycott all those umno and bn businesses, why give your money to umno or bn cronies. BOYCOTT ALSO ALL NASI KANDHARS AS THE MAMAKS HAVE BEEN STARTING THIS NONSENSE AGAIN AND AGAIN. we have had enough of these pariah ruBbish in this country, we want a clean government, clean judicary and most of all we want a clean police force. Just yeaterday we have a lady with a royal title stabbed and murdered, where has the police and immigration, rela and what other govt agencies been doing. SO BLOODY SIBUK ARRESTING anwar spying on opposition politicians, AND BLOGGERS and not doing their actual jobs of keeping this country safe. We need A PROPER POLICE force who protects us, instead of intimidatig and harrassing citizens of this country.

SAYA warganegara malaysia who is sick and tired of racial politics

2 wrongs does not make a right.. the ISA should never be applied..even to those suckers who have sold us down the river of blood

And FYI those suckers already have their private jets standing by to fly to their Swiss, Singapore, UK, USA, Aussie bank accounts.

  8. MCA and all the coalition parties must reject UMNO brand of politics. They have to leave the coalition. By staying on they are condoning the actions of a ruthless few bent on preserving their power. How can any party continue to support BN..Ahmad Ismail is free..Sin Chew reporter detained? What logic is this?

  11. Zorro, can you please use your contact overseas to encourage our overseas brothers and sisters to protest at the embassies to show the world that Malaysia is a police state?

Protesting here will allow them to declare a state of emergency and more arrests.

Can someone please lead the protest overseas?

  13. The use of ISA only hardens the rakyat’s little faith of what’s left for the administration of AAB.
The originator of the racial incident gets a suspension while the reporter of a factual situation is held under ISA
I can see us any better than Zimbawe
This is absurdity of the current administration beyond redemption.
As for RPK, the police has interogated him numerous occasions, assuming finding nothing much they can do to charge him they now use ISA.
AAB has clearly and loudly said ISA will not be used, can you believe him after countless flip flops.
Any strand of faith i have in BN is now washed away forever.
i am certain i am not alone,
i am positive there are so many of you out there sharing our concern and care for RPK and all those detain under ISA
We need another Tsunami - TSUNAMI II to dislodge BN and replace them
in my opinion anyone is better than what he see in BN
WE MUST AND WE HAVE TO !!!

you would not others do unto you'

  27. So let me get this straight...

Utusan Malaysia publishes a hearsay report accusing Teresa Kok of inflammatory conduct. Teresa Kok is arrested under the ISA on the basis of that insinuation.

Sin Chew publishes a well documented report of how Ahmad Ismail uttered inflammatory remarks in public. Sin Chew’s reporter is arrested under the ISA.

And Ahmad Ismail only gets three years… Of being excluded from UMNO.

Can it get any more blatantly double-standard than this????!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. First it was RPK and three newspapers being given show-cause letters. Then followed Sin Chew reporter (yeah, for doing her job professionally on a subject moron still roaming free after stirring racist shit!). Reminiscent of Ops Lallang in 1987, when 106 politoikus and social activists were arrested under ISA. Looks like BN-UMNO idiots have not learnt anything from March 8, 2008 and chapetr 2 on August 26.
Pray DSAI and PR succeed with 916; may not be on Malaysia Day but Sept 17 or +1, +2, +3 never mind, says Dr Syed Husin Ali, PKR deputy chief; it's pretty soon. Meanhwhile, the GOoD Lord protects NegaraKu citizens from some of its misguided pemimpin:(

  29. Another darkened cloud has desended on Malaysia.

We have now, with the 3 ISA detentions, stalled the clock of democratic progress.

Unfortunately, the powers that be are not going to retract. It is an 'at all cost' agenda at work.

In the final analysis, Malaysia as a whole will lose out to the global community. Economically we will suffer in quick time to come.

But who cares. The rakyat may suffer for all that some people may care.

The powers that be had numerous opportunity to resurrect their beaten image. But no, wisdom was absent.

And so the dragnet has begun?

  30. All Malaysians in foreign lands should initiate peaceful demos in front of the Malaysian embassy without delay.
Get your a%$ off the couch and do it- don't wait for someone to initiate this. If you don't - no one will act in the end.

Make sure you get media coverage or else your time is wasted.
We need to let the world know the true picture on what's going on back home in Malaysia Truly Asia!

What on earth can you charge a reporter who just merely reporting something that has been said by someone? Where the hell does the logic lies?? Tell me.. i don't know cos i am far here in Sarawak.

  35. All the people who want the current govt to step down or want to free RPK why not just gather in large numbers...masses and go ask nicely in putrajaya. I sit and wonder at all the 'tough guys' in the forums but have not done anything. Looks like the people who support RPK are actually cowards.
I just hope that the people making all the noiise are actually the majority of the population, otherwise, god save u all. No minority ever wins in a free democracy.
